Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 281 The Mermaid of the Black Lake is Apparently Impatient

Amanta strolled alone by the lake, at a slow pace, thinking about the events of the school year.

There are so many things she hasn't figured out yet.

—Draco’s struggle, his pain…Julius’s mystery…flashed before her eyes.

All of this was far beyond her previous understanding of the novel.

What would have happened if...she had not done these things that went against the original plot?

Occasionally, she would fall into such confusion.

Harry would still be sorted into Gryffindor, become good friends with Ron and Hermione, and become a mortal enemy of Draco.

Julius...? Maybe this inexplicable Durmstrang student would never transfer here.

Do not……

Livia's prophecy suddenly jumped out from the depths of her memory. The scenes were so vivid that she felt dizzy.

If everything would develop according to the original plot, why would Livia show her such a future?

There must be something she had overlooked.

She thought about everything that happened in that scene, the flames, the ruins, and... the death of Draco and Harry.

And...she was crying?

Her subconscious told her that there must be something she had overlooked.

For example, who killed them? Why was there no one else around? Where... was that?

And - why... is she the only one alive?

All in all, too many things ended up with no results.

Perhaps what is certain is that she should no longer look at all this with her previous understanding.

But what she was sure of was that the moment she arrived, everything had quietly changed its trajectory.

And as time goes by, it becomes more and more offset.

Although she has not yet connected all the things together, perhaps there is some kind of destined connection behind everything happening now.

If... she doesn't do something, then she won't be able to save the events that are bound to happen, and won't be able to change the future that is bound to happen in the prophecy.

In that case, she had no reason to give up.

She is responsible for this.

Her arrival has changed the original trajectory, so she has to cut through the thorns and forge her own path.

So...what's the price?

Can she really do it?

She looked up at the sky. The sky in England was always gray, just like her rare bright mood.

Before we knew it, it’s almost March.

The weather in Hogwarts was still cold. A thin layer of ice occasionally floated on the surface of the Black Lake. The cold wind blew up the mist on the lake, bringing a biting chill.

Just as she was lost in thought, a ripple suddenly appeared on the water surface.

A thin arm suddenly emerged from the water, its claws sharp and covered with dark blue scales.

Then, a small, skinny creature jumped out of the water, half human, half fish, with wet scales all over its body shining faintly in the sunlight.

"Merlin's heir..."

The creature made a sharp sound, a hoarse sound, like stone scraping against glass - but she could understand it.

Amanta stopped and squinted her eyes slightly, looking at the mermaid who suddenly appeared.

"Bring the gem as soon as possible!" He urged sharply. The ripples in the water shook his narrow pupils, revealing obvious impatience. "We have waited too long. You don't want to break your promise, do you?"

Amanta's expression did not change.

"Of course I won't break my promise." She spoke in a steady tone, but her eyes flickered slightly, "It's just that this matter is not that simple."

"You must have found the Tiara already! You just need to remove the Azure Eye!"

The mermaid's tail slapped the water hard, creating ripples, and it was obvious that she was getting impatient.

"If you can't take it off, give us the crown!"

Amanta looked at him, exhaled lightly, and said calmly: "If I could take it down easily, would I have to wait until now?"

The mermaid paused for a moment, the impatience in her eyes turning into confusion.

"What do you mean?"

Amanta did not answer immediately, but raised her hand and gently touched the sage's ring on her hand, where the Ravenclaw crown was placed at the moment.

During this period, she had tried to crack it or remove it by force, but the blue eye on the crown was still firmly embedded there and could not be shaken at all.

She spoke slowly, "Voldemort cast a lot of dark magic curses on that gem. It's impossible to touch it directly, let alone use it or remove it alone."

Upon hearing this, the mermaid showed a ferocious expression, and seemed very dissatisfied with this answer.

But perhaps the words Voldemort and curse had a deterrent effect on him.

"Then find a way quickly! Our patience is limited."

He glared at her, then dove into the water and disappeared.

Amanta stood by the lake, her eyes slightly gloomy.

The Black Lake Mermaid is clearly getting impatient...

She had to solve the problem of the Blue Eye as soon as possible.

Over the next few days, Amanta spent a lot of time looking through the ancient books in the school library.

She picked out all the books related to ancient magic artifacts, magic seals, and black magic curses, and read them till she almost forgot to eat and sleep.

"Evil curses usually have a method of removal set by the caster, or... the caster must die to be removed."

She ran her finger over a line of words on the page, her brows furrowed.

After consulting so many classics, I finally came to the conclusion that her conclusion was consistent with mine.

The caster of the curse was Voldemort himself.

Would his death, then, cause the seal to break? If so, she would not be able to remove the stone until Voldemort was dead.

Of course, there is another possibility - using certain magic to break it by force.

But black magic spells are often quite complex, and if they go wrong, the consequences can be disastrous.

She took a deep breath and continued to flip through the book in her hand, her eyes gradually becoming calm and focused.

A workable solution must be found.

The Azure Eye was the key. She couldn't try rashly, nor could she delay for too long...

So who else at Hogwarts might know more about this dark art?

The answer is almost self-evident.

Snape.

She needed his help, at least, she needed some clues or some feasible solutions.

Amanta closed the book, her eyes calm.

She would have to find a way to ask Snape about this during tomorrow's Occlumency class.
