Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 37 Please Talk to Her

After borrowing twenty books from the library, Amanta chose to return to her dormitory to read quietly.

After all, no one wants to be watched outside like a parrot, with some whispered discussions around them all the time.

——even though they lowered their voices and thought Amanta couldn't hear them.

But their wandering eyes still gave away everything.

bang bang bang-

As Amanta opened the book, there was a loud knock on the door of Dormitory 221.

Amanta frowned. She hated being interrupted when she was reading.

But out of politeness, she chose to open the door.

But she couldn't understand who would come here to find her at this time.

Before she could even reach the door, she heard a girl's voice crying:

"Merlin, are you in there?"

This voice...seemed familiar, and she opened the door without having time to think about it.

There was a blonde girl standing at the door, crying loudly. She looked familiar... Amanta looked closely and remembered that it was Daphne - Pansy's best friend.

When Daphne saw Amanta open the door, her body swayed and she seemed unable to stand on the ground.

"what happened?"

Amanta had a bad feeling, after all, she and Daphne had no connection at all.

Daphne came to see her, most likely because of Pansy's matter.

"Please - please help her -"

Daphne raised her tear-stained face and looked at her pleadingly.

"Pansy is my best friend, please—"

Daphne seemed to be upset by Pansy's affairs.

"Help her for what? I have no obligation to do so."

Amanta said this and prepared to close the door. She didn't want to get into any unnecessary trouble.

Besides, Pansy's situation was her own fault and she couldn't blame anyone else.

Daphne quickly leaned her shaky body against the door frame to stop her from closing the bedroom door.

Amanta frowned, somewhat confused.

"You can ask the prefect or the dean to help her."

"Pansy said she just wants to talk to you alone, please--"

"No."

"Please - if you just talk to her, she'll be fine. She's - she's - a little confused right now."

"I will listen to whatever you say from now on, please——"

"please--"

"Okay." Amanta looked at the girl in front of her who was crying her heart out.

It was obvious that if she chose not to go, this matter would probably never end.

What a hassle.

"Where is she?"

……

Amenta walked up the narrow spiral staircase to the top of the Astronomy Tower.

The Astronomy Tower is the tallest tower in the entire Hogwarts and is the teaching venue for astronomy classes. They will be having their first astronomy class here at midnight today.

"Amanta, you are finally here."

Pansy stood at one end of the platform of the astronomy tower. The strong wind blew her school uniform robe. Through the huge planetarium, Amanta saw that her eyes were terribly red, obviously she had just cried.

Pansy's voice was made a little unreal by the howling of the wind.

"Do you know how important Draco is in my life?"

In order to hear more clearly, Amanta took a few steps forward.

She walked slowly around the huge planetarium and spoke calmly:

"Your life or death has nothing to do with me, and I don't care how important Draco is to you."

Pansy seemed to not care about her answer at all and continued talking to herself.

"You know, when I first saw him at a family banquet when I was five years old, I decided that I would marry him when I grew up - that dazzling platinum hair was so conspicuous at the banquet. He was still so young, the same age as me, but he was already like a duck in water among his parents, confident and charming. He was so outstanding!"

"So, I kept getting close to him and doing some stupid things around him, just to get Draco to pay more attention to me. As I wished, he always tried to help me and solve my problems, but... since last year, he has become increasingly cold to me and deliberately avoided me. I thought he was just a little shy around me, but -"

Pansy said sharply: "But -! On the train to the beginning of the school term, I saw the three of you sitting in a compartment, practicing spells together, eating snacks, joking with each other, and there was an expression on his face that I had never seen before, that kind of relaxed and happy -"

Pansy whispered viciously, "I knew it, I knew it! He has someone else in his heart!"

"...Actually, you're probably just overthinking it."

Amanta commented pertinently.

"Impossible!" Pansy retorted, "He even went against me several times to protect you!"

"..."

Didn't Pansy realize that her behavior was too extreme?

Amanta was speechless for a moment.

It seems that Pansy has been completely blinded by jealousy and love.

"I swear - I will get Draco, no matter what means!"

"Is it important to get Draco?" Amanta was a little confused. She couldn't quite understand someone like Pansy who had nothing in her mind except love.

"Yes, if I can't have Draco, I would rather die!"

Pansy cried and laughed, and took a few steps back. She was almost standing on the edge of the platform.

"You're crying and making a fuss like this will only make him look down on you."

Amanta was already laughing at her own brain circuits.

“To pursue someone is to prove your ability to him and attract him with your charm, rather than to pester him blindly.”

"But - but, I really, how can I - how can I compare to you!"

Pansy held her head and wailed, as if it was filled with things that made her painful. She looked at Amanta with jealousy.

"Although you are an orphan, you have everything! Talent, beauty, status, position! Everyone dotes on you and favors you! And I, compared to you, am mean, stingy, and stupid! Draco ignores me! Even my parents are going to abandon me! I have nothing left!"

"..."

Pansy's words made her feel a little ridiculous.

First of all… everyone dotes on her and favors her, and maybe Pansy was only referring to the Slytherins.

After all, she has been regarded as the new generation of Dark Lord by the other three colleges.

Amanta walked around the planetarium towards Pansy, looking at her coldly with her ice-blue eyes.

"Except for the identity of Merlin's descendant, everything else - everything you are jealous of, isn't it all what I have fought for?"

"While I was reading all night, what were you doing? While I was practicing magic, what were you doing? How I treated people, how did you act?"

You want everything without working hard.

What are you daydreaming about?

Even though Draco and Harry always called her a genius, she just started from a higher point than others and learned faster than others.

She worked harder than any other student in her class - and others always overlooked this.

Pansy seemed hurt by her words and took a few deep breaths.

"I...but no matter how hard I try, I'll never be as good as you!"

"You can't compare to me, but - if you don't work hard, you will never be able to compare to me, right?"

"But - what's the point of trying! Draco has already rejected me..."

Pansy's momentum gradually weakened.

"That's not important."

"No!"

“The important thing is that you be yourself.”

Amanta blurted out.

Although she regretted it a little after she blurted it out.

What is she doing?

Are you giving psychological counseling to someone who has humiliated you?
