Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 42: The Quidditch Seeker's Invitation

"The power of the Philosopher's Stone is indeed great."

Draco carefully observed Amanta's appearance and could not see any difference between her and others.

"It would be horrifying if Voldemort could successfully reshape his body like Amanta did..." Harry muttered to himself.

Then a memory seemed to come suddenly to him.

"I think I know where the Philosopher's Stone is!"

Harry excitedly shared his discovery with Amanta and Draco.

Just as he was talking about going to Diagon Alley on August 1st, he and Hagrid went to Gringotts to pick up the mysterious little package.

A deep, silky voice sounded behind them.

"As a qualified professor and dean, I hope you won't publicly discuss things that you shouldn't know - especially you, Pote."

The three heads that were gathered together quickly separated.

"Godfather," Draco said.

"Professor." Amanta and Harry lowered their heads, feeling a little guilty.

Snape had a half-smile on his face at this moment, and the corners of his sarcastic mouth seemed to bend into an imperceptible arc.

"Besides that, I really hope you can use your brains full of splendor to think more, but there is obviously a more urgent matter at hand."

"Miss Merlin, come with me."

"Okay, Professor."

Amanta stood up swiftly and followed the billowing black waves of Snape's robes. She looked back nervously at Draco and Harry.

However, Draco and Harry looked even more confused than she did.

Amanta had no choice but to resign herself to following Professor Snape.

I don’t know why Snape suddenly came to her for something...I hope it’s not something bad.

"Have you ever ridden a broom before?"

Snape walked quickly in front of her and suddenly asked.

"No, Professor."

Amanta answered truthfully.

"Then I have to admit that you have some talent for flying."

Could it be...?

Because of what happened today, Snape discovered her talent for flying? So he planned to let her join the Slytherin Quidditch team?

In the original plot, she remembered that the school later started flying lessons. In the first flying lesson, after Harry was provoked by Draco, he showed outstanding flying talent and was admitted by Professor McGonagall to the Quietus team as a seeker.

Now Harry has come to Slytherin and has become friends with Draco.

These plots had obviously been changed long ago, but what she didn't expect was that she would show the same amazing flying talent as Harry, and was therefore noticed by the Quidditch team.

Snape took her through most of the castle, and finally left the castle and walked towards the Quidditch field not far away.

On both sides of the Quebec Stadium are tall stands with hundreds of chairs, and at the other ends are three fifty-foot-high golden rings supported by poles.

There were several Slytherin Quidditch players practicing here on their brooms.

Seeing Snape and Amanta coming from afar, they flew back to the ground on their brooms and walked towards them.

"professor!"

"Amanta Merlyn! I saw you a moment ago—over the castle, a marvelous flight."

A tall boy in the lead walked over quickly and looked at Amanta beside Snape with interest.

"It's her first time riding a broom."

Snape stated coldly.

"Oh my god... I was out in the hallway and I saw her plummet downwards and catch her fallen wand dozens of feet above the ground."

A boy with earrings behind him said in surprise.

The tall boy's eyes suddenly sparkled with excitement: "Genius! Absolutely a genius - Terrence would never be able to do this."

The boy with earrings stuck out his tongue.

"Anyway, Terrence has been asking for leave recently, saying that he wants to accompany his girlfriend, so I think we should..."

He took in the size of Amanta.

"Agile and small, perfect for a seeker."

"I'm Marcus Flint, Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team."

The tall boy stretched out his hand to shake her hand. He was extremely big and strong, and standing in front of her was like a mountain.

Amanta shook hands with him, and the boy with the earrings also extended his hand.

"Drian Puse, the team's Chaser."

Marcus suddenly remembered something and looked up at Snape.

"Professor, but the rules do not allow the use of first-year students—"

He looked at Snape pleadingly, his two small black eyes on his square face shining with hope.

Snape said slowly, "I have already discussed this matter with Dumbledore, and he has allowed the use of first-year students as an exception."

"Amanta, what do you think?"

Adrian tilted his head, watching Amanta with interest.

"I have no opinion."

Amanta said helplessly.

They had considered everything before asking her opinion.

Asking for her opinion at the end felt more like a formality.

She wasn't opposed to joining the Quidditch team, but maybe - two people would be envious.

"She also needs a proper broom, the Seven-Star Sweep, or the latest Nimbus series?"

Marcus and Adrian discussed this seriously.

"The Nimbus 2000 is obviously the best, but it's a bit too expensive... The team doesn't have enough funds. In fact, the Comet 260 is also good."

"As for this, I don't think you need to worry. I think a certain nosy peacock who loves to show off his wealth will definitely take care of it."

Snape said sarcastically, seeming to be quite dissatisfied with someone recently.

"Ms. Merlin, I hope you won't be complacent because of a little praise. Train hard and don't lose to those little trolls in Gryffindor."

After Snape said this, he lifted his robe and walked towards the castle.

"Do you know Quidditch?"

Amanta shook her head.

"Okay, let's start from the beginning."

Marcus dragged over a large wooden crate.

"Well, before the afternoon classes begin, I will give you a brief introduction to the sport of Quidditch."

He opened the large wooden box and inside were four balls of different shapes, sizes and colors.

"There are seven players on a Quidditch team, three of whom are chasers. Chasers are responsible for passing the Quaffles and hitting them into the ring to score points."

Derian squatted down and patted a red ball the size of a football. "This is the Quaffle. Marcus and I are responsible for playing with it."

"There are also two Beaters. Bludgers will run around everywhere and may rush towards a team member at any time and knock him off his broom. The Beaters are responsible for protecting their teammates from being hit by the Bludgers and hitting the Bludgers to the opposite side."

Adrian pointed to another shiny black ball, slightly smaller than the Quaffle.

"This is a Bludger..."

"The other one is the goalkeeper." Marcus pointed to the three hoops at both ends of the field. "He's responsible for guarding the goalposts and preventing the opponent's Chasers from hitting the Quaffle into their own hoops."

"Finally, there's the Seeker. The Seeker is responsible for finding the Golden Snitch. Once the Golden Snitch is found, the game will be declared over."

Derian picked up the last ball from the box.

"Amanta, it is this ball you will be responsible for."
