Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me
Chapter 57: Protective Clan Emblem Brooch
Harry was beaming with joy.
“I knew it was going to be amazing!”
He happily opened a bag of Bibi Multi-Flavor Beans from the pile of snacks, but as soon as he put a bean into his mouth, he spat it out with a strange cry.
"Merlin's chin, I swear, it smells like booger!"
"Hmm? My name's on it? And yours—and Harry's, one for each of us."
Amanta picked up one of the gift boxes, which had a note with her name on it.
"Can I take it apart and take a look?"
"Oh - I'm also curious about what my father sent us. Let's open it and take a look."
Amanta opened the box and found a small object wrapped in green satin inside. She opened the satin and an exquisitely shaped snake-shaped shield-like pin appeared in front of her with a capital letter M on it.
"What is this? A brooch?"
Amanta picked up the pin. It had a complex pattern and a pin-like clip on the back, but the faint magical aura on it made her feel that this thing was not that simple.
"Hmm? No, this is——"
Draco took his share, and so did Harry's.
He held up the pin and looked at it in the light.
"It's a brooch, but it's also a piece of protective gear."
"Protective equipment?"
"Yes, it's an anti-curse brooch. Ordinary anti-curse items can bounce back some minor magic and evil spells, but this brooch is more effective than ordinary anti-curse items and is still effective against some dark magic."
When Harry heard him say this, he quickly pinned the brooch on his chest.
"The pattern on it is the Malfoy family crest. It seems that what father gave us is an heirloom from the Malfoy family treasury..." Draco curled his lips, "Father only let me see the things in it a few times."
Amanta also pinned the brooch on her chest. Although she didn't feel anything, she felt much more relaxed psychologically.
Even though it may not be able to protect against the Unforgivable Curse, at least you don't have to worry about some blind evil curse suddenly flying at you while you are walking in the corridor.
Lucius gave them such precious gifts, probably to thank them and to ensure their safety, and hoped that they would take good care of Draco.
However, they may have forgotten that they are still the focus of the auditorium today.
Every day in the Great Hall, Hogwarts students closely monitor the latest developments of the Slytherin trio.
But today, it seems that there are obviously fewer students sitting at the long table.
Maybe it was because today was a day off, or maybe they were scared by yesterday's incident, or maybe they were afraid of meeting Merlin and Harry.
In short, not many people came to have breakfast today, but the few who came still followed them closely with their peripheral vision.
When they saw them putting on the brooch together, many people, except those at the Slytherin table, couldn't help but look at each other in surprise.
"That thing seems to be the Malfoy family crest..."
Ron nudged Seamus and Neville with his elbow, motioning them to look over there.
"They seem to have a good relationship. Malfoy's parents even gave them things from their home."
Seamus commented objectively.
Neville was dumbfounded: "Didn't you say yesterday that Merlin used evil black magic to torture Malfoy beyond recognition..."
He recalled that yesterday Seamus helped Ron, who was laughing crazily, back to the Gryffindor common room. Fred and George laughed at Ron for a long time, and finally Percy rescued him.
After that, Ron yelled angrily in the dormitory for a long time and threatened to go to the library to learn some evil spells to curse them.
"Cough cough cough."
Ron blushed a little, trying to justify his judgment.
"Well, actually Seamus and I saw them carrying Malfoy back yesterday, and we felt that it might not be what you think."
Neville puffed up his lips and nodded ignorantly.
"Actually... I don't think they're that scary. Do you remember when I accidentally melted Seamus' cauldron during the Potions class on Friday? The terrible corrosive potion flowed all over the floor and even burned a big hole in my shoe. It was Merlin who cleaned it up in time."
Cedric was sitting behind them with his back to them, and after hearing their conversation, he turned around and leaned over the Hufflepuff table to join their discussion.
"I think Harry is a very kind and upright person. Amanta left me with the impression of being gentle, polite and studious. As for Draco... I don't know him very well, but he strikes me as a spoiled brat, but he's not a bad person by nature."
Cedric lowered his eyebrows helplessly and shook his head.
"But they don't believe it. They just stubbornly believe what they want to see."
Ron's face turned even redder and he quickly changed the subject.
"Well... who told them to always cause trouble? After all, what happened in the Forbidden Forest that day? How did they get into the Forbidden Forest? Who made Malfoy like this? I don't understand why the professors didn't tell us, otherwise everyone wouldn't make random guesses."
"I don't think I'm obligated to explain these things to you, Weasley."
The low, silky voice crawled across the back of Ron's head like a snake.
"I'm not happy to see you discussing such boring gossip on your day off when your brain could hold something other than slugs. Two points from Gryffindor."
Snape stood indifferently behind Ron and deducted points from Gryffindor as usual.
Then he lifted his large robes and walked towards the Slytherin table.
Ron looked in shock at Seamus and Neville, who were pretending to eat seriously on both sides.
"When did he show up? Why didn't you remind me?"
Neville and Seamus, who pretended to eat seriously and kept silent: "..."
Snape walked behind Amanta and the other two, threw out a few words coldly, and walked towards the teachers' seats.
"Draco, and you two little trolls, meet me after breakfast."
"Okay, Godfather."
"Okay, Professor."
"What do you think Professor Snape wants to say to us?" Harry asked.
Amanta shook her head: "I'm not sure, it may be about Draco's father, or it may be about Voldemort or Dumbledore. Anyway, we will know soon."
Harry lowered his head and whispered nervously to the two of them.
"Speaking of Snape, that night when I was waiting for you outside the Forbidden Forest, something suddenly occurred to me."
Amanta looked at him with interest: "What have you figured out?"
"Although Snape was very mean to me... and had a bad temper, when I thought about what my father and his friends did to Snape, I could understand it a little bit."
Harry seemed to have recalled some memories and his tone was low.
"His story reminded me of myself. I used to be bullied by Dudley and his friends... and the Dursleys... but I came to Hogwarts and have you as friends. But what about Snape?"
"He has always been isolated and bullied, his family is poor, and he is still alone... he has no friends and no family."
