Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 70: Undercurrents in Potions Class

"Godfather, I'm sorry. I admit that I was not thoughtful enough, but I hope you won't use my parents to attack them next time."

Draco's knuckles turned slightly white from cracking.

"Well, as your head of house, I certainly know my limits. But my dear godson, don't lump yourself in with those Gryffindors who are so arrogant, stupid and ignorant."

After saying this, Snape didn't even look at them. He snorted coldly, lifted up his wide robe, and strode away from them.

"call……"

Amanta breathed a sigh of relief.

It was surprising that Snape had let them off so easily.

I don't know if it was because of Lucius's face, or because of Draco's soft and hard attitude. Speaking of this, it's a good thing that the three of them are Slytherins... otherwise, their house points would have been deducted by Snape long ago.

But none of this was enough to overshadow something...something that surprised them the most.

"Draco, did you see that? You lost the bet!" Harry grabbed Draco's sleeve and said excitedly.

"..." Draco gave him an unpleasant look, "You seem to be betting against me."

Harry's eyes widened.

"Really? Why... don't I remember?" He scratched his messy black hair.

"Don't try to cheat!" Draco gritted his teeth.

"Well, thank you for your hard work."

Amanta pulled out a scroll of parchment from the Sage's Ring, which contained a small beginning of her History of Magic homework she had written this week.

She raised an eyebrow and divided the parchment into two pieces, handing them to Draco and Harry respectively.

"Thank you."

"..." Harry looked at the parchment in his hand with tears in his eyes.

"I should have known better than to take part in this bet of yours... I'll have to spend at least another day in the common room writing History of Magic homework over the weekend."

Draco patted Harry's shoulder.

"If having my godfather wash my hair was as easy as doing my History of Magic homework, I would be willing to do History of Magic homework every day."

"...That's right!" Harry recalled in distress for a while, "I didn't expect Snape, the old bat, to look so young and handsome after washing his hair? I always thought he was at least fifty years old..."

Amanta tapped his head: "Don't forget, he is the same age as your parents. If I remember correctly, he should be in his early thirties?"

"I have to say, the Godfather is a young and promising man..."

Draco shook his head.

"It seems that if it weren't for the fact that he didn't wash his hair, the Godfather would have had a lot of followers."

……

Just as they expected.

The next morning, what happened in the Potions class shared by Slytherin and Gryffindor was simply magical.

After Snape walked angrily in the Potions classroom, ridiculed the Gryffindor students with sarcastic words, and deducted several points from Gryffindor.

Parvati and Lavender came together, looking excited.

Amanta, who was not far away, vaguely heard their conversation. They even started calling Snape "Severus".

"Ah... did you see that? The way Severus loses points is always so charming."

"I am simply obsessed with his cold and ruthless eyes, his straight nose, and his flowing hair. Damn, why didn't I realize he was so handsome before."

"If I had known the head of Slytherin was so handsome... I should have joined Slytherin!"

Several Slytherin girls also exchanged several knowing glances.

"I can guarantee that your godfather will soon become the new generation of Hogwarts man."

While Snape turned around to scold Ron, Amanta quietly lowered her head and spoke to Draco.

"…The Godfather is quite handsome, but he is definitely still a little inferior to me."

Draco said unconvincedly, and smoothed his platinum slicked back hair which he thought was perfect.

During the first period of the class, almost no one had the time to listen to the lecture or work... almost everyone was looking at Snape seriously - with no distractions.

But after Snape's increasingly angry and impatient sarcasm.

Most of the students, especially the girls, actually started to behave well.

Amanta shook her head in confusion - couldn't these people all be masochists?

However, most people were able to make the simple scabies potion that Snape asked them to make this time. Even Neville made a lot of progress. At least he didn't melt his cauldron again.

However, if the dark mass in the cauldron in front of him and Seamus could be considered a potion.

Perhaps she and Draco were more or less influenced by Snape, and they sharpened the snake's fangs much slower than last time.

The student who first made a successful potion in this class was Theodore Nott from Slytherin.

He had a temperament that kept people at a distance. He had dark gray hair and very light blue eyes, which made him look cold and distant.

Amanta had some impression of this boy. These days, he was present at almost all occasions where Slytherins were supposed to be.

But he always watched it all with indifference, or lowered his head to read attentively, as if everything happening around him had nothing to do with him.

Amanta didn't know much about him, but she vaguely remembered that he was one of the twelve Potions students who were promoted to Newts.

He just so happens to be a Slytherin student, so bringing him into the SO group...seems like a good choice?

She nudged Draco with her elbow.

"Do you know that Theodore?"

"......?" Draco raised his head in confusion.

When he glanced at Theodore not far away, his eyes suddenly became alert.

"We know each other, what's wrong?"

Before Amanta could speak, he added, "I have known Theodore since childhood, but... I think it is better for you to stay away from him. He always likes to be alone, even more self-centered than Blaise."

"Well, are you familiar with him?"

"Not too familiar, not too unfamiliar, what's wrong?"

Draco replied very quickly, looking at her in a strange, almost creepy way.

For some reason, Amanta always felt that there was a hint of grievance and confusion in his eyes...even a hint of condemnation?

Amanta felt inexplicably uneasy when he looked at her.

She shook her shoulders, trying to get rid of the strange feeling from her heart.

"I was thinking, he seems to have a talent for Potions...why not add him to our SO group?"

"Am I not talented enough in Potions?"

Draco lowered his eyelids, and his tone was unclear, but he was clearly not happy.
