Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me
Chapter 84 Lockhart's First Lesson
After entering November, the weather in Hogwarts became very cold, with ice everywhere. The sky in the hall was always gray, and Amanta couldn't help shivering every time she stepped into the hall.
There were two more Defence Against the Dark Arts lessons with Lockhart before the Quidditch match on Saturday.
This is simply the most difficult time for most Hogwarts students.
At the beginning of the first class, Lockhart picked up his complete set of works and loudly promoted his deeds.
"Gilderoy Lockhart."
He pointed to the blinking photo on the cover.
"It's me. I'm an honorary member of the Anti-Dark Arts League, I'm awarded the Order of Merlin, third class, and I'm the five-time winner of the Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award - yes, these are all me, but I never talk about them!"
Except for a few crazy girls, most people couldn't help but shiver.
But Lockhart apparently mistook this for admiration for his achievement.
"Shaking with excitement? Oh, I'm going to have a fun little classroom quiz. Crabbe, what's my favorite color?"
Crabbe stood up tremblingly and looked at Goyle beside him for help.
Goyle opened his mouth wide, looking even more confused than he was.
Crabbe could only look at Lockhart's sky-blue robe and think hard: "Blue?"
"Lilac, tsk tsk - no way, haven't you read my book A Year with the Tibetan Snowman?"
Crabbe shook his head dumbly.
"That's terrible, that's terrible! What about 'Magic Me'?"
Lockhart looked at Crabbe expectantly, and Crabbe shook his head stupidly.
Lockhart sighed loudly, quickly pulling a book out of the pile, signed his name, and handed it to Crabbe.
"I'm surprised you didn't have - well, now that you do, I'll ask you questions next class. I need to see what your textbook is -"
Lockhart picked up the textbook in front of Blaise, took a look at it, and threw it back in disgust.
"'Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Defense'? This book is out of date. I need to report the textbook problem to Hogwarts - but now, let's get back to the topic -"
Lockhart bent down and took out a large cage covered with cloth from under the podium and placed it on the podium.
"Well, no matter what you have learned before, from now on, you must keep up with my pace. Don't be afraid, I will teach you how to resist the most evil things in the wizarding world!"
"You are about to face the most horrific things in this classroom, but as long as I am here, you will never be harmed!"
He placed his hand on the cage cover. "I ask you to be quiet, no matter what you see."
In response to his words, the Slytherins held their breath and looked at the cages of his men with fear and curiosity.
Even Harry and Draco craned their necks to look towards the podium, wanting to see what kind of horrible creature was locked in the cage.
Only Amanta probably knew what was in the cage.
While no one was paying attention, she put all the textbooks and stationery on the table into the Sage's Ring.
Otherwise - in a little while, they will all die in the battle.
Lockhart raised the hood.
The cage was full of iron-blue elves, about eight inches long, with pointed monkey-like faces and voices as shrill as their faces. When the cloth cover was opened, they began to jump up and down, chirping and shaking the cage bars.
"Cornwall elf!" Lockhart whispered.
"Pfft." Draco couldn't help but sneered.
"What's wrong?" Lockhart asked with a smile.
Draco gave a typical Malfoy smirk and said, "Professor, I don't think they are dangerous."
This annoyed Lockhart a little.
"You can't be so sure!" he shook his finger. "They are nasty little destroyers!"
"Well, let me see how you deal with them!"
Lockhart pulled open the cage door.
The elves rushed out of the cages, laughing loudly, as if they had arrived in heaven.
They rushed towards the unarmed Slytherin students.
"I have an ominous premonition..."
Before Harry could finish his words, two elves flew over, grabbed his ears and slapped him in the face.
"Let me help you, Harry!"
Draco raised his wand, and an elf kicked him hard in the back. He cried out in pain, and three elves took the opportunity to snatch his wand.
"My wand!" Draco yelled in exasperation.
The elves turned around and made faces at him, then grabbed his ink bottle and splashed it on Millicent. Millicent screamed and stepped back, stepping on Syrio's leg. Syrio had a grim face and grabbed his schoolbag tightly - the three elves were about to snatch his schoolbag.
"Don't be afraid, they are just little pixies - try this spell: Peschipixie - Pestenomie!"
Lockhart shouted, waving his wand.
However, the spell had no effect at all, as an elf flew over, snatched his wand and threw it out of the window.
Lockhart panicked and crawled under the podium table, but it was fortunate that he did so, because the next second - the chandelier with Goyle hanging on it above his head couldn't hold its weight and fell down.
Amanta quickly put the wand into the Sage's Ring.
The Cornish elves love to steal wands, so to be on the safe side, it is safer to use wandless magic.
An elf took the opportunity to bite her ear. She screamed in pain and pulled the elf off her head.
The elf is most afraid of being controlled, so -
"Immobulus!"
She quickly cast a freezing spell. According to the rules of wandless magic, reciting the spell loudly when using wandless magic will weaken the power of the spell, but the coverage area will also increase.
A stream of cold air shot out from the palm of her hand, spreading out and covering an area about 270° and one meter in diameter in front of her.
Several elves that were making faces were instantly frozen and their movements became slow.
Amanta took the opportunity to catch them one by one and stuffed them back into the cage.
"How did you do that!" Draco shouted as he was fighting an elf for his textbook.
"Use a Freezing Charm!" Ammenta yelled. "Immobulus! Draco, your wand's in Blaise's hat—"
Draco narrowly avoided being attacked by several elves and grabbed his wand from Blaise's hat.
Blaise was completely unaware that his shoes had been snatched away by the elves. He now held his tie in one hand and his socks in the other, waving them around, trying to drive away the annoying elves.
