At five o'clock in the morning, the crowing of roosters had already woken up Shen Jinzhen and Niu Chunmiao.

"Sister Jinzhen, come, wash up and change into your wedding dress."

Their traditional wedding is the same as that in the Qing Dynasty, with women wearing wedding dresses and men wearing long robes.

Originally, Shen Tunan wanted to find someone to do Jinzhen's makeup, but it was not easy to hire a makeup artist in this remote countryside, so he found an elderly woman in the village who had a good relationship, gave her some money, and asked her to comb Jinzhen's hair this morning.
