Trajectory 2: entangled curves

Chapter 8 Protected by Another Man

After the class reunion, it was time for Han Xin’s father’s basketball team’s regular activities in kindergarten.

This activity started when Han Cheng was in kindergarten. It was not a mandatory activity of the school class, but was spontaneously organized by the parents' committee, and it was started by Han Moli.

At that time, both Zhuge Qinuo and Han Moli were among the parents who participated in the activities most actively and cooperated with the activities. Now Han Moli often has to go on business trips, so her participation in activities is irregular, and Zhuge Qinuo also has her own things to do. Even if Han Moli goes, she has hardly shown up in the past two years.

After all, Han Moli can play basketball with other fathers if he goes there, but what can Zhuge Qinuo do if he goes there?

This time, it was also because of Han Xin's repeated requests that the couple decided to find the right time to attend together. Indeed, they hadn't participated in any parent-only activities for Han Xin for a long time.

As soon as we arrived at the venue, almost all the fathers were already there. Han Moli went to warm up, and Zhuge Qinuo did his logistics work as before.

Because Han Moli was the one who organized this activity from the beginning, and there was no activity funding, so every time Han Moli and Zhuge Qinuo arrived, they would naturally take on the task of providing mineral water. As usual, Zhuge Qinuo took Chengxin to buy water and sports drinks. After the store delivered them, he sorted them out and watched the game quietly.

Maybe it took some time to buy water, Zhuge Qinuo felt like he only rested for a short while and the game was over in one section.

With Han Moli's physical strength, he had no problem finishing the first quarter. After the game, he walked to Zhuge Qinuo to rest, and naturally handed water to other parents who came to play basketball.

Zhuge Qinuo quietly served as a deputy and downplayed his presence.

Because there was another person on the field who always made Zhuge Qinuo feel that he had a look in his eyes that he wanted to see but didn't dare to see. He was Shen Chengkun, the father of Han Xin's classmate Shen Ziyan.

It should be the natural sensitivity of women, plus Zhuge Qinuo is aware of her beauty and knows that she did have outstanding looks and temperament a few years ago, and would indeed receive more attention from the opposite sex.

But this kind of attention is just a normal human emotion of "everyone loves beauty". Just like when she sees other beautiful mothers and handsome fathers, she can't help but take a few more glances. Just like she used to look at Shen Chengkun, the handsome father.

It feels different from being watched now.

Zhuge Qinuo hoped that she was overthinking or that she was wrong. After all, Shen Chengkun's eldest son was in the same class as her and Han Moli's eldest son Han Cheng, and now their youngest son was in the same class as his daughter, which could be considered a kind of fate.

In the two classes of the two children, Shen Chengkun and Han Moli are both model fathers who are handsome, rich and willing to participate in their children's activities.

But today, she clearly felt something different.

In addition to the look in her eyes, whether intentionally or unintentionally, or perhaps just out of habit, Shen Chengkun always passed by her side when he was retreating and slowing down the pace. Zhuge Qinuo had never paid attention to these things before, but today, for some reason, she was particularly sensitive to his movement on the basketball court.

It’s nothing when you don’t pay attention, but once you pay attention, many things are different.

His presence gradually gave Zhuge Qinuo a different feeling. She chose to change her position from time to time. But the more she changed her position, the more she proved the correctness of this feeling.

One was obviously trying to escape, while the other was like a gust of wind, occasionally lifting the green gauze curtain that blocked her view, making it impossible for her to maintain her "transparent form" here.

Although this situation made Zhuge Qinuo a little distressed, it did not prevent her from taking care of the children around her, nor did it prevent her from doing her logistics.

Soon, the game entered the second quarter. The break in the second quarter was quite long. Han Moli was obviously exhausted after the second quarter. He took a bottle of sports drink and a cigarette and handed it to the people around him. Then a few people went outside the court to smoke. Before leaving, he asked Zhuge Qinuo to distribute the remaining sports drink to everyone.

These are normal things. They have always done this before.

She smiled naturally and distributed water to every dad playing ball around her.

Shen Chengkun was a little far away, on the other side, drinking water. Zhuge Qinuo resisted in his heart, but he trotted towards him. Everyone has it, no one can be without it, and no one can be an exception.

"Drink this, it will help you recover your strength faster." In one night, Zhuge Qinuo spoke the most words to everyone except Han Moli and Han Xin.

"Thank you!" Shen Chengkun said simply.

"You're welcome." Zhuge Qinuo knew that her simple encounter with him was over. She smiled politely and wanted to leave.

"Well, you haven't been here for a long time. A long time, about two years. I thought you wouldn't come." Shen Chengkun continued.

She was a little surprised. This was the first time in all these years that they spoke in a chatty tone, apart from simple polite expressions and the few times they asked about class matters.

"Well, there are a lot of things to do, and the kid's father doesn't come here often, so I see him coming even less often." Zhuge Qinuo explained.

"I hope you can come more often." Shen Chengkun said.

Zhuge Qinuo didn't expect him to say this. She tilted her head and raised her eyebrows to express her doubt, and accidentally met his eyes.

Perhaps it was the courage she got from seeing Ye Mingyuan so recklessly the last time she looked at him that made her not avoid him this time but look at him head on.

This look seemed like she had cast some magic, and her eyes captured Shen Chengkun's gaze, leaving him speechless for a moment.

After Shen Chengkun came to his senses, he was flustered and raised the drink in his hand awkwardly and said, "Because the logistics are good."

Zhuge Qinuo gave her an aunt-like smile, as if looking at a child who had made a small mistake, and then turned and walked away calmly.

She knew his eyes would follow her, so she tried to stay confident and youthful. Only she knew that she might have been more nervous than him in those few seconds, but now she had a skill called pretending to be calm.

The two men returned to their own places, on this side and that side of the court.

Zhuge Qinuo and Han Xin were talking and laughing.

Shen Chengkun drank the drink in his hand, looked at her when she wasn't looking at him, and cleverly diverted his gaze when she was looking at him.

Soon, the third game began.

After watching for a while, Han Xin couldn't sit still anymore. Afraid of disturbing the order of the court, Zhuge Qinuo prepared to take him to buy some snacks to comfort him.

She stood up and beckoned Han Xin to come over. In her eyes, she saw Han Xin jumping towards her, and in her ears she heard two overlapping words of "be careful".

Before I could react, and even before I could turn my head towards the direction of the sound, I felt a shadow behind me, and a scent of sweat and a simple perfume hit my nose, followed by a muffled sound.

Zhuge Qinuo turned around and saw Shen Chengkun's painful expression.

Then I saw the ball bouncing to the ground behind me and Han Moli holding the child in her arms not far away.

Zhuge Qinuo didn't expect that the man standing in front of her was actually Shen Chengkun. She was stunned for a moment.

"I think now I can drink the drinks you hand to me more often." Shen Chengkun said and turned away.

Other parents who were playing ball came to express their concern.

After Han Moli calmed Han Xin down, she came over and asked her if she was scared. She simply replied, "It's okay. It was just too sudden and I didn't react. You guys continue."

"Mom, are you okay?" Chengxin's voice was like an angel.

Zhuge Qinuo squatted down and hugged him happily: "Mom is fine, are you okay too?"

"Mom, next time the ball comes, I will protect you and hit it away." Han Cheng's words touched Zhuge Qinuo's heart, and he couldn't help but hugged his head and kissed him.

"Oh, your head stinks." She pretended to complain about her son with disgust, but held him tightly in her arms.
