After hearing the reply from General Trautman, Luke returned to the command center with a heavy heart.

Everyone looked at Luke.

Luke said nothing, just shook his head.

Hannibal understood what Luke meant, so he pulled Luke out of the command center.

"Does General Trautman have any difficulties?"

Luke thought for a while and said:

"He didn't say the specifics, but this involves a higher level of game."

Hannibal could now guess that both Lynch and Morrison must have someone supporting them behind the scenes.

They are just the smallest chess piece in the last link, the kind that can be abandoned at any time.

So he asked Luke.

"What should we do now?"

Luke thought for a moment and said to Hannibal:

"Morrison can't die in our hands. Let Lynch do it. Hasn't he always wanted to silence him? Let him do it."

"Also, we're going to use Morrison as bait to lure out Lynch. As long as we get evidence that he killed Morrison, you can clear your name."

Hannibal nodded, approving of Luke's plan.

“How exactly are we going to do this?”

Luke smiled at Hannibal.

"First make him happy, then make him nervous, and finally give him a heavy blow to let him know how exciting the ups and downs of life are."

After hearing Luke's answer and the subsequent arrangements, Hannibal took the cigar handed to him by Luke and smiled as well.

"Great, I like this plan."

So Luke commanded Murdoch and Parker to take a device and General Morrison to a small dock cabin on the lake.

After making the arrangements, Hannibal called Lynch.

He was furious at Lynch, and at the same time let him know that Morrison was in Hannibal's hands.

Hannibal asked Lynch to get a pardon for him and his team members.

It also needs to be jointly issued by the White House, the Department of Justice and the Pentagon.

Lynch did not agree to Hannibal immediately, but just told him that it would take some time, at most 20 minutes, and then he hung up the phone.

Hannibal gave Luke an OK sign.

Murdoch and Parker also returned to the command center with General Morrison.

Then everyone stood behind Lilith and watched her operate the display screen in the command center.

This display screen was filming the lakeside cabin that General Morrison had just visited from multiple angles.

In less than 20 minutes, an AC-130 arrived over the cabin.

The 105mm howitzer and 40mm howitzer on the plane fired at the wooden house.

After completely flattening the wooden house, he left in a swagger.

The whole process was recorded by Lilith.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Luke's analysis was correct. Lynch didn't want to let them all live, even if the US dollar engraving was still in their hands.

Just as everyone was preparing to pack up and leave, Lilith gave them an important message.

"Boss, just now, Agent Lynch left the US Embassy with Commander Pike of the Black Forest."

"What?" Hannibal and others were surprised when they heard the news.

But Luke was not surprised at all and said to Parker:

"Your ex-girlfriend is just a pawn put out in the open to attract fire. The Ministry of Defense has not given her any support at all."

Hannibal nodded as well.

"That's true, otherwise Lynch wouldn't have been able to take Pike away from her so easily."

Seeing that Parker remained silent, Luke smiled and patted his shoulder.

"Don't worry, the credit will go to her in the end, I promise."

Hearing Luke say this, Parker immediately perked up.

"Any follow-up plans?"

"Of course~"

Because General Morrison was right next to him, Luke did not tell him about his follow-up plans.

Instead, he looked at him and said:

"You saw what Lynch did just now. He took Parker away this time just to silence him."

Morrison said to Luke with a gloomy face:

"I have said everything I need to say. I can't say the rest. After all, I still have a family."

Luke nodded in understanding.

Then everyone started packing up and preparing to evacuate.

Before boarding the plane, Luke asked Hannibal to call Lieutenant Sousa under the plane.

Not the one Parker had left her, but the one Lynch had tapped.

Hannibal confronted Sousa directly.

He had both General Morrison and the US dollar engraving in his possession, and he asked the Department of Defense to review their case.

This requirement was quite low and well within Lieutenant Sosa's authority.

Lieutenant Sosa wanted to delay time so that he could locate Hannibal's position.

Hannibal was also aware of her routine, so no matter how she delayed, he just told her his plan.

The existing evidence is enough to clear them of the charges. As long as she can get the review documents, Hannibal's team will meet her with General Morrison and the US dollar engraving to trade face to face.

The location was at a cargo terminal in Los Angeles, three days later in the evening.

But no matter how she delayed, with Lilith around, she would not be able to locate Hannibal even if she delayed until her phone battery ran out of power.

After hanging up the phone, I got on Luke's plane, made an OK gesture to him, and the plane took off and flew to Los Angeles, USA.

On the plane, Lilith poured champagne for everyone, raised their glasses, and drank it all in one gulp.

Luke laughed and joked:

"In order to help you, I suffered a great loss this time, and specially prepared an abandoned bulk carrier."

Hannibal switched to whiskey and clinked glasses with Luke.

"I owe you a favor. You're rich, and I don't have any money..."

"Once is not enough..."

"Twice~"

"Three times~"

"Twice~"

"Okay, let me take the blame. Two times is enough, but you have to bring your teammates with you."

Everyone also heard the conversation between Luke and Hannibal.

Parker smiled and said to Luke:

"I'll count three times, and then you can lend me this plane."

Luke waved his hand generously.

"No need for favors, just use it if you want, but you have to pay for the gas yourself..."

"F...Fuck...let's just consider it a favor..."

Back in Los Angeles, Luke arranged Hannibal's team and asked Lilith to cooperate with their follow-up actions before leaving.

This matter was too big and too complicated, so he returned to the Qin Manor in Beverly Hills and found Old Master Qin to help him solve his doubts.

After explaining the whole story to Mr. Qin, Mr. Qin thought for a while and gave Luke an answer.

The ones behind the scenes were the military and the White House, or strictly speaking, the financiers behind the White House.

Luke was puzzled and waited for Mr. Qin to continue explaining to him.

"Have you seen the dollar bill engraving?"

Luke nodded.

"Then do you know why they appeared in Baghdad?"

Luke shook his head, and then he suddenly froze.

Damn it, these guys are looking for an excuse to start a war...

Sure enough, those who play politics have dirty hearts...

After telling Mr. Qin his guess, he nodded in agreement with satisfaction.

"Yes, they are preparing for war. War can cover up many economic problems... such as the current Internet bubble..."

"Fuck... these dirty politicians..."

"Don't be impatient. What I want to say is that our family is also one of the vested interests."
