The next morning, when Jane Yu arrived at the auditorium for breakfast, she found Draco and his group already sitting there.

Seeing her appear at the long table, Draco was about to wave, but when he remembered that he had not received any letters all summer, he snorted and retracted his hand.

Theodore nodded at her, his blue eyes smiling.

Until Jian Yu sat down, Draco looked at her with dissatisfaction, frowned and covered his nose deliberately, and spoke in a sarcastic tone:

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, this place stinks of Muggles—"

"How long did you spend at your Muggle relatives' house during the summer vacation? Too poor to even have a mail owl?"

Jian Yu was very curious about how he would react if he knew that the famous alchemist Nicolas Flamel was described as "smelling like a Muggle" and "too poor to have an owl".

Before she could retort, a full-throated roar came from the Gryffindor table.

The attention of the group was diverted in an instant.

"Ron Weasley, how dare you -"

It was Mrs. Weasley's roar that made the plates and spoons on the table clatter. The 3D echo surrounding the hall was deafening. Jane Yu had no doubt that the lime on the wall had fallen into the food.

"You stole the car. You probably never thought about how your father and I felt when we found out the car was gone—"

Now everyone in the auditorium turned to see who had received the Howler.

There was a roar of laughter from the Slytherin table. The little snakes, who were originally immersed in the back-to-school syndrome and were listless, were now fully awake. Seeing Gryffindor make a fool of themselves made the sausages and fried eggs they were chewing taste particularly good.

Draco held his belly and laughed, and shouted at the Gryffindor table with glee:

"Go back to your mother, Weasley!"

But his laughter stopped abruptly when he heard Jian Yu's name.

"You nearly lost your lives flying across half of England with Harry and Miss Jane—"

Draco's grey eyes were filled with anger. He turned his head to look at Jian Yu in disbelief, narrowed his eyes, and said in a slow but calm tone:

"So - you came to school with them."

"You guys were staying together over the summer? At Weasley's poor family?"

A layer of ice formed in his eyes, and his grey eyes regained the arrogance and domineering look that Jian Yu had seen when he first met him. He then spoke:

"I said we shouldn't have let a Mudblood into Slytherin."

"She should be allowed to go to Gryffindor with her Muggle smell, which is perfect for those brainless lions."

Pansy and Millicent sat opposite him. They were delighted to hear him belittling Jane Yu, and immediately echoed him in a pretentious tone:

"Oh - Draco, you're so right, I'm tired of the Muggle smell in the common room every day!"

Jian Yu didn’t know whether they were happy or not, she only knew that she was so happy that she went crazy!

During the summer vacation she was still thinking about how to stir up a quarrel between Draco and Ron.

As a result, Draco gave her a big gift!

The fantasy in her head had fast-forwarded to the point where he wrote a letter to his father and got her fired!

Feeling that Draco's anger was not strong enough, she decided to add fuel to the fire and spoke in a provocative tone:

"Yeah, Ron's quite nice, I think he's much better than you - in every sense of the word."

The little snakes around gasped.

Pansy stood up in shock, and after realizing what she had said, she screamed like a dog protecting its master:

"How dare you - talk about a Malfoy like that? A Weasley scum -"

Even Blaise frowned and said coldly:

"The entire Weasley family is a blood traitor. I advise you not to compare them with Malfoy."

This time, Jian Yu had angered everyone and touched the sensitive nerves of these pure-blooded little snakes.

She couldn't help but secretly give herself a thumbs up.

I am so awesome that I can excite them like this with just one sentence!

If only one of them had a parent who was a school board member!

Write a letter and fire her!

......

After these words were spoken, Jian Yu returned to his solitary state.

Such a relaxing day without socializing is such a blessing for her!

Her good mood lasted until the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Because the professor of this course was the big star she met in Flourish and Blotts - Gilderoy Lockhart!

She felt embarrassed when she thought about the words she used to deceive this money-making...professor.

"Please help me and sit in front of me--" she whispered to Theodore.

Theodore glanced at her with a hint of doubt in his eyes, but did not ask her the reason. He quietly packed up his things and walked to the front row, even adjusting the back of his chair to make himself taller.

"Thank you very much. I'll treat you to dinner later."

She tried to use the tall and thin boy to shield herself and wanted to shrink under the table.

But Lockhart was clearly impressed by the little witch who asked for five sets of books to be signed.

When he walked into the classroom wearing a green robe and strode into the classroom, he immediately saw Jian Yu in the crowd.

He walked quickly to Jian Yu's desk, picked up the book "Walking with Trolls" on her desk, and showed the winking photo of himself on the cover.

All eyes were focused on him.

Lockhart seemed to enjoy it very much, pointing at the photo and saying loudly: "I, Gilderoy Lockhart, Third Class Order of Merlin, Honorary Member of the Dark Arts Defense League, five-time winner of the "Wizard Weekly" Most Charming Smile Award..."

Jian Yu noticed that the Slytherin students all frowned slightly, and no one laughed.

Then he looked at Jian Yu, showing his big white teeth, and pulled her up from her seat:

"This Miss Jane is a loyal fan of mine. She has five sets of my autographs—"

When she thought of those To lottery tickets, she wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into!

The little snakes all looked at her with a look of astonishment. Draco had a sullen face, as if he couldn't believe Jane's taste; Theodore looked at her with a hint of disdain, and he now understood why Jane had to hide behind him; while Pansy, Millicent and Daphne sneered.

But their laughter soon stopped as Lockhart asked the students to complete a set of tests.

"Let me see how much you have learned and how much you have read... Miss Jane, you don't have to do it. I believe you must have read all my works by heart, right?"

The content of the test paper seemed to be Lockhart's autobiography, and many little snakes were so disgusted by the questions that they scratched their heads.

Now they looked at Jian Yu with envy in their eyes.

The agonizing Defense Against the Dark Arts class was finally coming to an end. Just when Jane Yu thought that this long torture was about to end, Lockhart did something big again: he took out a cage containing Cornish elves!

"See how you deal with them!" He opened the cage door.

Screams were heard in the classroom instantly. These elves were as cunning as devils, making sharp and piercing noises and running around like rockets. They grabbed the ink bottles of the little snakes and splashed them everywhere, staining their robes; they also tore up the textbooks on the table, and the white paper scraps fluttered like flowers scattered by fairies; relying on their small bodies, they crawled into the belly of the table, pulled out the students' schoolbags, and threw the contents everywhere.

Soon their targets shifted to humans.

An elf pulled Draco's platinum hair, messing up his perfect hair style with hairspray - like a chicken coop. He covered his head with one hand, screaming "My hair!", and tried to push the monster away with the other hand; while his follower Goyle was pulled by the collar by the elves and thrown onto the chandelier - the chandelier could not support his fat body and fell down, almost crushing Crabbe below to death.

After a few minutes, half of the people hid under the table.

Then another sharp female voice sounded, and Jane looked behind her and found that four elves were pulling Daphne Greengrass's ears and collar with their claws and teeth, flying upwards. She panicked and tried to swat them away with a book, but the book was thrown out of the window by another elf; and the wand in her other hand was also snatched away and broken into two sections.

The elf lifted her outer robe and carried her higher and higher. Only then did Jian Yu realize that the girl was wearing a short skirt - her eyes were full of tears, revealing two smooth legs, and her hands were trying hard to hold down the hem of her skirt to prevent exposure.

"Pansy, save me--" Daphne begged her friend, hoping she could hold her back.

But instead of helping her, Pansy huddled under the desk and said in a saccharine tone:

"Oh, dear - you should have remembered to wear leggings - what a pity -"

Daphne looked at her in disbelief, her eyes red, unable to believe that these were words spoken by her best friend.

Just when she was helpless and desperate, she heard a spell:

"lmmobulus (freezing spell)!"

The elf that was pulling her ears and robes froze instantly and turned into four icy blocks. Daphne fell to the ground and was caught by a floating spell. She stared blankly in the direction of the spell, only to find that the black-haired and black-eyed girl put away her wand expressionlessly, picked up her textbook, stepped over her body and walked out the door.

Why did she...save me?

Daphne sat on the ground in a daze, thinking.

Jian Yu didn't want to continue staying here and taking this meaningless course.

Lockhart was clearly a complete idiot; he could have just signed in for this class and then walked out.

She wanted to just walk away, but Daphne was picked up right in the middle of the aisle, blocking her way out. She had no choice but to get rid of this large obstacle first.

So she cast the freezing spell and helped the poor girl at the same time - after all, it was too bad to let a girl embarrass herself and expose herself in public in a classroom with dozens of people.

The time saved from this course could be better spent making beauty potions and planning how to drop out!

Thinking this, she walked towards the dormitory.
