The Charles Becomes a Wizard
Chapter 158
The weather was not good on the day Charles returned to school.
After watching Charles disappear in the train, Eric put away the bright smile on his face, turned around and left the platform.
A deacon was already waiting outside Platform 9 3/4. He held an umbrella for Eric in time, followed closely behind him to block the falling rain, and opened the door for him. After Eric got in the car, he put away the umbrella and sat in the passenger seat.
"Master Eric, where are you going next?" the butler asked respectfully.
Even though he was much older than the boy sitting in the back seat, he still kept a low profile and did not dare to look down on the other person.
Eric, who had just seen off his beloved brother, was in a bad mood. Hearing this, he propped up his chin with one hand and asked, "Has the rat that was causing trouble in London been caught?"
"Our people have already detained the traitors, and we should be able to find their lair soon."
"Then go and have a look."
"Yes."
The valuable car was parked on South Hisman Street under the vague gaze of passers-by.
This is a famous poor area in London with narrow streets and densely packed houses. It is home to the poorest families and is full of homeless people, including thieves, prostitutes and even murderers. It is one of the most chaotic and dangerous places in London.
The dark and narrow alleys were muddy and dirty. Ragged people hid in every corner like rats in a sewer, only showing a pair of eyes to spy on the figures who obviously did not belong here.
The specially-made boots fell to the ground and were stained with sticky mud. A rotten and unpleasant smell filled his nostrils. Eric covered his nose with a handkerchief and followed the deacon towards the destination without looking away.
Behind him, two burly bodyguards lifted their clothes, and the shiny black pistols on their waists easily frightened the greedy eyes around them.
The group stopped in front of a dilapidated, short house. Through the thin, rotten wooden door, they could hear a man's miserable wailing and pleading for mercy coming from inside.
The expressions on the faces of the people passing by were numb and indifferent, as if they had long been accustomed to this kind of sound.
Eric winked, and the deacon knocked on the door several times with the back of his white-gloved hand in a certain pattern. The next second, the wooden door opened.
There were three people in the small, dark room. The ferocious expressions on the faces of the two perpetrators had not yet faded, and their sandbag-sized fists were still stained with bright red blood. However, they greeted Eric obediently like toothless tigers.
The one being tortured was already covered in wounds, curled up on the ground like a puddle of mud.
When he saw Eric, there was a gleam in his eyes.
He endured the pain and crawled to Eric, crying out his injustice.
"So, you are wronged?" After an unknown amount of time, he heard the boy surrounded in the middle ask this.
It turns out that young people are easily soft-hearted.
The man was delighted and cried even harder.
"You have no idea who is helping foreign forces smuggle drugs?"
The man nodded vigorously.
"Oh, so that's it..." Through tearful eyes, he saw a beautiful and harmless smile on the boy's face. Before he had time to think about it, he heard a loud noise in his ear. The next second, severe pain spread from his arm to his whole body, making him want to faint.
"Since you refuse to tell the truth, then continue." Eric gave the order lightly while handing the gun that was still smoking to the butler beside him, and then took the handkerchief he handed to wipe the blood that accidentally splashed on his cheek.
Eric's outburst came without any warning, and the sharp contrast made everyone in the room silent for a moment. The bodyguard, who had his gun taken away by him at some point, was so frightened that his face turned pale.
"Oh, I remember he has a brother who depends on him for everything." Eric lifted the man's chin with his cane and slowly spoke in the man's horrified eyes: "Find him out."
"No, you can't... He doesn't know anything!" The man tried to reach out and grab Eric's trouser leg, but his hand was knocked away by the cold cane.
"Since you have betrayed me, you must pay the price."
......
A flash of lightning split the sky. Under the cover of night, the train was like a huge steel beast, crossing the plains, breaking through the heavy rain, and heading towards the castle standing on the cliff.
Big drops of rain hit the car window, making a muffled sound.
In the warm and dry carriage, Charles frowned slightly, closed the document in his hand with some annoyance, and threw it on the table.
"What's wrong?" Draco looked at the document with a curious look. He was curious about what was written in it that could make Charles so angry.
"No, nothing." Charles pressed his chest and turned to look out the dark window.
I just feel a little uneasy for some reason.
But at this moment, Ciel just thought it was a weather problem. After all, today's weather was almost exactly the same as when he was besieged by Dementors last semester.
Until he received the message that Snape helped to deliver before the opening dinner.
"What do you mean Eric is missing?!"
