The Charles Becomes a Wizard
Chapter 21 Enrollment
Charles glanced at the enthusiastic Draco and felt that the arrogant little prince might not be able to get along with the sensitive savior.
But this matter had nothing to do with him, he was just a partner, he didn't care about so many trivial things. Zabini said a few more words, which dispelled Draco's idea of going to watch the savior immediately.
By the time the train arrived at the terminal, it had already darkened completely. Everyone changed into wizard robes and got off the train. They saw a huge figure holding a lamp standing next to the locomotive.
"First-year students, come with me. Just put your luggage on the bus and it will be delivered to your dormitory after the sorting. Take good care of your pets and don't let them run around." Hagrid said loudly.
"Do the first-year students need to be separated from the others?" someone in the team asked in a low voice.
"Yes, it is said that they hope that the freshmen can relive the path taken by the founder of Hogwarts." The voice sounded familiar. Charles turned around and found that it was Hermione Granger whom he had met once.
Hagrid led the group through the misty swamp and arrived at a lake. The lake was pitch black, and a huge castle could be seen standing on the edge of a cliff not far away. The young wizards got on the boat in groups of four, and Ciel was in the same group with Draco and his two followers.
After everyone was on board, the boat actually began to move slowly by itself. Compared with the small boat, the lake was too big. When people walked to the center of the lake, they would feel as if they were about to be swallowed. Charles reached out and touched the cold water. Maybe it was his illusion, but he always felt as if something was watching them underwater.
"Charles, don't touch it." Draco said mysteriously, "Father said there is a huge water monster at the bottom of the Hogwarts lake. If you accidentally fall in, you will be eaten."
Do you believe this kind of story that is obviously meant to trick children? ! Charles's expression was complicated for a moment.
Charles took out a handkerchief, wiped his fingertips and asked in a low voice: "By the way, do you know how to sort the houses?"
"Father didn't tell me," Draco instantly shifted his attention and frowned, "But it is said that the sorting task is difficult. Goyle, Crabbe, did your father tell me about this?"
The two chubby boys shook their heads blankly, and the boat under the four people began to sway with their movements.
"Stop moving!" Draco held the edge of the boat and glared at them.
"Ciel, which house are you going to?" Draco asked. In his opinion, Slytherin was of course the best, and Ciel was very suitable for Slytherin in terms of style and habits. It was a pity that Ciel was a Muggle, and even if he could barely enter Slytherin, he would probably face a lot of difficulties.
"Slytherin or Ravenclaw?" Ciel thought for a moment and asked.
"If you come to Slytherin, we can share a room!" Draco's eyes lit up. As for the possibility that the two of them might not be assigned to the same room? If they were not afraid of offending Malfoy, they could have raised their opinions.
The boat soon reached the shore, and after walking for a while, everyone arrived at the castle gate. As soon as they stood still, Draco rushed in with two followers.
"I've heard that the savior is on the train." Draco raised his chin slightly and spoke in a condescending tone as usual: "I'm Draco, Draco Malfoy."
Charles could see that the young Platinum noble really wanted to be friends with the Savior and wanted to leave a good impression on this legendary figure, but it was obvious that he had failed.
So Draco, who was a little angry, humiliated Ron Weasley for laughing secretly, and naturally, Harry's impression of him became worse.
"What are you doing?" The calm words interrupted Draco's harsh words. He glared at Harry and Ron Weasley fiercely and returned to Charles' side.
A serious-looking woman appeared at the door. She was wearing a dark green velvet robe and a pointed hat tilted on her head. Together with the parchment in her hand, she looked particularly harmonious with the quaint castle behind her. If you ignore the strange hat, for Charles it would be as if time had suddenly gone back to the past.
Charles couldn't help but be distracted for a moment, and the wooden door slowly opened, revealing a huge auditorium with four long tables in the middle of the hall, which obviously belonged to four colleges. On the top steps at the deepest part of the hall sat a row of people who were obviously professors. What surprised Charles was that even with the ranger Hagrid and the man next to him, there were less than ten people, and the number of students was obviously much more than that of professors.
There can't be only a few people teaching so many students, right? Even if it's impossible to have one professor for each subject and each grade, it can be divided into senior and junior grades, right?
Charles sighed. If there were really only these few professors, he would have to rely on self-discipline to learn anything in the next seven years.
"There's a spell on the Hogwarts Great Hall," Hermione Granger pointed to the cloud-covered dome and the candles suspended in the air and said to the people next to her, "I saw it in A History of Hogwarts."
"I just don't know what the entrance exam will be about," the girl seemed a little nervous and kept talking. "I've only read a few basic magic books. What if the exam content is something I haven't learned yet?"
"I hope it's not too difficult. I've only learned a few simple spells..."
Everyone stopped in front of the steps. There was a high stool on the small platform. On the stool was a dirty, patched black hat. Charles noticed that the hat moved a few times, as if it was alive!
"Those whose names are called please take a seat on the stool." The witch coughed twice and then called out, "Hannah Abbott!"
A girl with two golden braids came out from the freshmen class and sat on the stool. As soon as the dirty hat was put on her head, she started to scream.
"Hufflepuff!"
The girl smiled shyly and trotted over to the Hufflepuff table and sat down.
Is this the legendary difficult entrance exam? Ciel looked at Draco, whose face was a little stiff, and then at Zabini, who was also uncomfortable...
Rather than saying it's difficult, it's more like the bad taste of parents, right?
Perhaps, they were also deceived in the past?
Out of consideration for his new friend's face, Charles did not say this.
After the serious-looking witch called out seven or eight people in succession, Charles finally heard a familiar name.
"Hermione Granger!"
Hermione Granger: !!!
The girl's already fluffy curly hair seemed to have exploded.
"Don't be afraid, it's okay, don't be nervous..." She muttered softly as she walked out of the crowd, sat on the high stool on tiptoe, and then the hat was placed on her head.
"Why is she a little neurotic?" Ron Weasley bent his elbow and nudged Harry beside him and whispered.
"Maybe I'm too nervous?" Harry said.
Seeing that he did not agree with him, Ron Weasley curled his lips and said nothing more.
The hat paused for a moment on the girl's head, as if communicating something with her, and then it shouted loudly: "Gryffindor!"
Hermione Granger jumped off the high stool and walked to a long table with the largest number of people and sat down. Here, she received a warm welcome and the attitudes of the seniors were very enthusiastic.
The atmosphere in Gryffindor seems to be very good, but it seems like it will be very noisy... Ciel couldn't help but think so.
