The Charles Becomes a Wizard
Chapter 6 Draco
Draco Malfoy, ten years old this year, is the only heir of the Malfoy family, one of the most prestigious families in the wizarding world. He has beautiful platinum hair and a delicate face. So when such a fragile and beautiful child appears alone on the streets of London at night, it is natural that he will attract the attention of certain special people.
The boy who had never come into contact with the Muggle world was extremely gullible. Although he remembered the teachings of his elders and never let down his guard, he looked down on Muggles from the bottom of his heart, so he was easily knocked unconscious and locked in a cage.
"Hiss..." Draco shook his still dizzy head and opened his eyes dazedly. The completely unfamiliar scene and the cage that was so noticeable made his face change instantly. "Where is this? Is there anyone here? These damn Muggles! How dare they!"
"Stop shouting, it's useless." A thin voice came from behind. Draco turned around suddenly and found a skinny little boy curled up in the corner of the cage. The boy was huddled up with his hands on his knees. He was wearing a dirty robe. His exposed skin was covered with purple scars and his big eyes were desolate.
"Who are you?" Draco subconsciously raised his chin, trying to hide his panic with a proud attitude. "Where is this place?"
"My name is Ryan." The boy pulled the corner of his mouth, as if he wanted to smile at him, but it was obvious that he failed. "They call this place a warehouse. If you attract them, you will be beaten..."
Draco pinched his palms hard, forcing himself to calm down. His magic power was completely consumed by the previous magic riot. Before the magic riot, he was practicing magic in Malfoy Manor, so the various magic props prepared by his father to protect him were not on him...
Now he couldn't even open the cage that trapped himself, let alone leave the room filled with disgusting smells.
The room was pitch dark, with only a window on the wall, through which Draco could barely see the layout of the room with the faint moonlight shining in. However, this sight made Draco feel a chill in his heart.
There was no furniture in the room, but there were about a dozen half-human-high cages stacked one on top of the other, and in each cage there were one or two children curled up! The most terrifying thing was that even in such a harsh environment, these children were all quiet, and there was no other sound in the room except for their shallow breathing, as if they had lost hope and would not cry anymore...
You know, to a wizard, every cub is extremely precious, and no one will treat a fragile cub like an animal!
Muggles are really as lowly as his father said... Draco pursed his lips. He was not really worried about his own safety, because he knew that once his father knew that he had disappeared from the manor due to the magic riot, he would immediately use blood magic to find his location and take him away...
Those who brought him here will pay the price! They must pay the price! No one can humiliate a Malfoy!
Of course, if these little Muggles were willing to accept a forgetfulness spell, he would ask his father to set them free.
Although he had confidence in his father, Draco still felt empty and unsure at the moment. The overly quiet space made time seem extremely long, as if there was a huge hole in the room that could easily swallow a person completely.
"Hey," Draco endured for a moment and decided to speak up to break the uncomfortable silence, "How long have you been locked up here?"
Ryan didn't really want to pay attention to this boy who was obviously spoiled. In fact, if he wasn't afraid that the boy would make too much noise and attract those people, causing them to be punished together, he wouldn't have taken the initiative to speak.
"Hey, can you hear me?" Draco frowned in dissatisfaction.
"Three months."
Draco's eyes widened in disbelief. "It's been so long? Didn't your parents look for you?"
"Heh..." Several sarcastic laughs came from all directions of the room.
"Look at this young master, he is probably still dreaming of going home to enjoy his life!"
"You've landed here and you still want to leave?"
"If we report him for trying to escape, we should be able to have a meal of white bread, right?"
"How about giving it a try?"
"Stop talking." Ryan said abruptly.
"Hey, Ryan, stop being so kind. Don't forget how you became what you are now. Why don't you learn your lesson?"
"Yes, he looks like a noble young master. His future treatment will definitely be much better than ours. Who knows, he might not even appreciate your kindness."
"Stop talking!" Ryan chuckled. "You all know he's a high-end commodity. They won't do anything to him before they make a move. If we keep talking and bring him in, we'll definitely be the ones to suffer!"
As if frightened by his words, the children immediately quieted down.
Ryan frowned again and looked at Draco who was obviously confused: "We can't escape. I'm giving you a piece of advice. If you don't want to suffer, just do whatever they say. Now, be quiet. Even if you want to die, don't implicate us."
Draco was choked by his rude words. When he was about to retort, he heard footsteps approaching from afar at the door. A few tiny sobs were heard in the room, muffled, as if covered by something. Ryan hid half of his face in his arms and returned to his previous half-dead state.
With the sound of keys colliding, the door of the room was slowly opened, and then a dazzling light was sprinkled from the ceiling. Draco didn't know what the light was coming from, but he felt that it was brighter than the candlelight in the manor. Then he saw a man with rude manners appear at the door. The man was half bent over and saying something respectfully, and the flattering smile on his face made him look even uglier.
And the object of his flattery turned out to be a teenager who was about the same age as him!
The boy was wearing a dark blue suit and a small hat. The expression on his handsome face was the aloofness and arrogance that Draco was familiar with. He raised his hand and pointed casually with his cane carved with delicate patterns. "Is that all?"
"That's right," the man chuckled, "this is the best batch we have."
"It has a good appearance and is very obedient. It is very good whether used for sacrifice or as a plaything."
"Take me over to have a look." The young man was silent for a moment and nodded slightly.
"Please come in." The man nodded and bowed as he led the person closer, still introducing something.
"This hair color is quite rare," the thin cane passed through the gap in the railing and raised Draco's chin. "The appearance is also acceptable."
Draco was so angry at the overly frivolous tone and the obviously admiring attitude that his face turned red. He clenched his hands tightly at his sides, but considering his current situation, he had to swallow his anger.
He would never let him go! As long as, as long as his father found him...
"You have a good eye. This is new stock. It has not been touched by anyone else. It is the cleanest among all these."
"Oh?"
“But this price…” The man rubbed his palms.
"Price is not a problem," the boy interrupted him, "bring the man out for us to see."
"Okay!" The man answered and happily opened the cage that trapped Draco. He grabbed his arm with his big hand and pulled him out without mercy. "Take a look at it."
Just as he finished speaking, there was a loud noise outside the room, mixed with a few painful howls.
"It's you!" The man reacted quickly. After realizing that he had been fooled, his originally ugly face became even more distorted. He didn't care about Draco who was still in his hand, and pounced on the boy with a ferocious face.
Draco, who was pushed to the ground, suddenly narrowed his eyes and shouted subconsciously: "Be careful!"
"Congratulations, you guessed it right." The boy curled the corners of his lips and raised his arm. With a "bang", a bright red liquid splashed out. Then the burly man staggered and fell to the ground with a bang, raising a large amount of dust.
"..." Draco opened his mouth, but found that he could not make a sound.
The boy stared at Draco with an almost horrified look and put away the smoking object in his hand. He kicked the man's body with his foot, then walked around him and half-knelt in front of Draco, stretching out a hand to him. "Do you want to leave here with me?"
Draco looked at the hand wrapped in a black leather glove in front of him, his eyelashes trembled, and he raised his hand to hold it.
Draco had always been well protected. This was the first time he faced the disappearance of a life. He knew that the man was dead, and died at the hands of this seemingly powerless boy. This made him start to doubt whether the "weakness" of Muggles as his father said was true. If every Muggle could have that kind of magic prop, could wizards really resist it...
Draco shuddered violently and subconsciously dared not think any further.
The boy pulled him up from the ground with a little effort, and paused his eyes on Draco's dusty clothes: "I am Ciel Phantomhive, I thought you might need a new pair of clothes."
His voice and expression were very calm, as if he didn't care about a life at all. Compared to the man on the ground, he seemed to care more about Draco's clothes.
"I'm Draco, Draco Malfoy." Hearing the low sobbing sound again in his ears, Draco pursed his lips: "What will happen to them?"
"The next step is the police's mission. If the parents can be found, they will be sent home. If the parents cannot be found, they will be sent to an orphanage." Charles looked at Draco in surprise, but still began to explain.
Isn't it said that pure-blood nobles look down on ordinary people? The man in front of him didn't seem to be as arrogant as the legend said, which made Ciel feel better about him.
As soon as he finished speaking, the crying in the room suddenly became louder. The hysterical crying seemed to try to vent out all the suffering they had endured through tears.
At this moment, several men in uniform walked into the house. Charles tapped the man lying on the ground with his cane. "He has the key. I'll leave it to you guys from now on."
After saying that, he walked towards the door without waiting for their reaction. Draco hesitated for a moment and followed him.
"Wait a minute," one of the young men stood in front of Draco, "Where are you going?"
"He is mine, of course he has to leave with me." Charles stopped.
"I never told you that you had an accomplice in this." The man looked at him suspiciously.
"Why? Do we in the Phantomhive family need to report to you about our work?" Ciel raised an eyebrow. "Sir Randall, your subordinates are meddling in too many matters."
"You!" The young man wanted to say something, but was grabbed by the arm by a middle-aged man, who said, "It's just a routine inquiry. There's nothing else to it."
"That's good," Charles nodded. "It's because you wasted too much time on this kind of thing that the efficiency of handling the case is so low. If you continue like this, the Queen will be disappointed in you."
"If I remember correctly, the heir of the Phantomhive family doesn't seem to be you?"
"So what? Lord Randall is planning to cross the river and burn the bridge? This case has not been officially concluded yet. Is this really a good idea?"
"Hehe, if you are too arrogant, you will suffer." The middle-aged man sneered.
"You sound worried about me, but you should worry about yourself first. This should be the third case of trafficking this year, right? London has such a big mistake right under your nose. Have you thought about how to explain it to the Queen?"
"Then I won't bother you!"
"Well, I wish you good luck."
……
"So, where are you going to take me?" Draco, sitting in the strange iron box, couldn't help but ask as he looked at the ever-changing scenery outside the window.
"You dare to follow me without knowing where you are going," Charles looked at him with a slightly strange look, "Aren't you afraid that I will sell you out again?"
He also said that in cases like this one against human trafficking, his father had always forbidden him to intervene in order to prevent him from recalling the painful past. Why did he suddenly change his attitude this time? It turned out that there was such a big Easter egg hidden in the abducted person!
I don’t know where my father got the news from... But isn’t this boy named Malfoy a little too naive?
"You won't." Draco said firmly. "You led the team that rescued them all."
"..." Ciel was silent for a moment about Draco's inexplicable trust, then handed him a handkerchief: "There's blood on your face, wipe it off."
"Where are we going?" Draco wiped his cheek, and his fingers trembled unconsciously when his eyes fell on the dark red blood stains on the handkerchief.
"Go to the London annex," Charles glanced at him. "Your family should be able to find you soon."
