The Charles Becomes a Wizard
Chapter 76 Principal’s Office
Things developed just as Charles had expected, and Harry and Ron Weasley soon appeared at the Gryffindor table.
Their school uniforms were dirty and wrinkled, their faces were pale, and they looked not in good spirits. Facing the concerned inquiries from the little lions, they just put on a forced smile.
"Scarhead must have been in trouble!" Draco said confidently.
"Principal Dumbledore won't make it too difficult for him." Zabini poured cold water on him.
"Humph, the principal is too partial. If I knew..."
"What would happen if you knew, Mr. Malfoy?" A deep voice sounded from behind them.
Draco froze instantly. His neck clicked like a rusty part as he turned his head. When he met Snape's almost black face, he almost jumped up from his seat.
"Mr. Malfoy, please answer my question, or do you want to stand in front of the podium and tell everyone your thoughts?" Snape frowned, "I think you gentlemen should know that it is extremely bad to talk about others behind their backs."
"No, I mean, I'm sorry." Draco trembled under Snape's shadow.
Ciel glanced at Snape's face, which was even uglier than before, and fell into deep thought.
This reaction...
It seems that Harry has really gotten into quite a bit of trouble this time.
It was just a one-way trip, what on earth had Harry done?
Look, how angry this has made their usually stable dean?
"Mr. Phantomhive."
"Yes?" Charles, who was caught off guard by his name, looked up.
"Principal Dumbledore invites you to visit the principal's office after the dinner." Snape looked at Charles solemnly, and seemed to sense the boy's resistance. He curled the corners of his lips coldly: "If I were you, I would not refuse this invitation."
"Well, thank you Professor Snape for bringing the message to me." Ciel nodded slightly. "I will be there on time after the dinner."
"The password is jelly slug." After saying this, Snape walked towards his seat in a menacing manner.
Charles's eyes fell on the old man sitting in the center of the podium, and he gave a polite smile when the other looked over.
I don’t know whether Dumbledore wanted to see him tonight because of Harry or because of the Floo Network?
......
The principal's office looked even messier than before.
This was Charles' first reaction after entering the door.
Dumbledore didn't do any more disgusting things, and sat down behind the desk piled with scrolls. But this time there were more than just the two of them in the office, Snape was there too.
The man with a bloody background stood expressionlessly at the window, looking out.
"Mr. Dumbledore, what can I do for you?" Charles stopped in front of the desk and asked politely.
Even if he had many objections to Dumbledore, Charles would not allow anyone to find fault with him in terms of etiquette.
"Oh, Mr. Phantomhive, you are here." Dumbledore's face was rarely without a smile. "Please wait a moment. When everyone is here, we can talk together."
Not long after, the office door was pushed open again, and Professor McGonagall led Harry and Ron Weasley, who had their heads down and eyes drooping, in.
"Why are you here!" Before Dumbledore could say anything, Ron Weasley pointed at Charles and shouted like a cat whose tail was stepped on.
"Mr. Willis seemed surprised that I showed up at Hogwarts?" Ciel raised an eyebrow and said, "I'm sorry, I caught up with the Sorting Ceremony and couldn't do what you wished."
"You..." Although he knew that he had caused a big disaster, before meeting Charles, Ron Weasley felt a secret sense of happiness in his heart.
He thought that Charles would have no other way to get to school on time this time.
Ron Weasley actually really, really hated the Ciel.
He is clearly just a punk with no foundation in the wizarding world, but he acts like a superior person all day long.
But, those vicious and despicable Slytherin snakes, perhaps because they were poisoned by some kind of magic potion, became so spineless that instead of bullying him, they were willing to follow him!
This made Ron Weasley jealous and hateful. It was obvious that the Weasley family was pure-blood like them, but why did Ciel, a punk, get treated differently by them?
As a child who is often neglected in the family, Ron Weasley is undoubtedly both inferior and arrogant. He longs for the attention of others and wants to be the focus of everyone's attention.
If there was no Charles as a comparison, he could confidently pin Slytherin as vicious and pretentious, and he could confidently regard the little snakes' disregard and ridicule as persecution for not "going along with them"...
But, there just happened to be one more person named Charles here.
Charles's existence was like a heavy hammer that smashed all his self-righteousness and all his disguised nobleness into pieces.
He thought he would be able to defeat Charles this time...
"Okay," Dumbledore interrupted the conversation, "now who can tell me what happened on the platform this afternoon?"
"I think it's more appropriate for Harry to tell this story," said Charles, glancing at Harry. "When I arrived at the platform, the passage was already sealed."
"But I don't know what happened," Harry whispered, "George and Fred, who were before us, both managed to get into the platform."
"But when Ron and I tried to go in, we were suddenly blocked."
Dumbledore looked at Ciel with his azure eyes: "Mr. Phantomhive, can you tell me why you chose to leave alone in the first place?"
"Because I can't get into the platform." Charles opened his eyes innocently, "Do you want me to wait there stupidly?"
"Well, I mean, why didn't you go with Harry and the others?"
"Because everyone is free to decide their own actions?"
"Then why didn't Mr. Phantomhive inform us immediately when he contacted Professor Snape that there were two more young wizards blocked outside the passage?"
Dumbledore's tone was vaguely questioning, and it seemed that he was going to make Ciel laugh, and he actually did laugh.
"Mr. Dumbledore, first of all, I hope you understand that I, Harry, and this... whatever, this red-haired classmate, the three of us are three completely independent individuals."
"I don't have a close relationship with them, so I have no obligation or need to take any responsibility for their decisions or actions."
