The Charles Becomes a Wizard
Chapter 8 Character
Lucius gave Vincent a meaningful look. It was impossible for an ordinary Muggle to say the name Malfoy casually.
This person should know something about the wizarding world, and judging from his attitude, he should not have any ill will towards wizards. Lucius's mind raced. He was not worried that Vincent would take a fancy to what he had in his hands. He could persuade him with benefits, which was better than being a diehard of the church who only wanted to "destroy wizards".
"Mr. Malfoy, please come this way." Butler Tanaka bowed slightly, stepped onto the stairs first, and led Lucius to the study.
Lucius straightened his robes and gently pressed down Draco's head, who was looking at him eagerly. "Go and fix it."
Vincent, who was walking at the end, exchanged a meaningful look with Charles, then walked leisurely towards the stairs.
"I'll have someone bring you some clean clothes in a bit. They're newly made and haven't been worn yet, so you can wear them without worry." Charles took Draco into a guest room.
Perhaps because he was worried, Draco moved quickly and soon came out of the bathroom with wet short hair.
"Hey," Draco glanced at the boy who was standing by the window with his arms folded, looking at something, "You already know who I am."
Draco was not stupid. Even if he didn't react at the time, he could guess a little bit when he thought about Vincent's words in the bathroom.
"Of course," Charles turned around and said calmly, "Malfoy is quite famous in the wizarding world."
"Malfoy is of course the best." Draco said with a hint of pride and a hint of caution. "But why do you know this?"
"If nothing goes wrong, we will be classmates next year," Ciel raised his eyelids, "As you can see, my father doesn't know magic, or rather, he didn't know that there was magic in this world before. This made him very worried about my future life, so he did some research in advance."
This explanation is certainly plausible, but...
Draco's mouth twitched unconsciously. Is this guy in front of him really something he should worry about? They should be the ones who should be worried, right? After all, no matter how bad Slytherin's reputation is, I've never heard of a little snake killing someone before graduating from Hogwarts!
Draco once again thought of the blood that splattered on his face, and how Charles had treated it nonchalantly, as if he were just brushing off a tiny speck of dust on his clothes. He couldn't help but shudder.
"Be careful not to catch a cold." Charles reminded.
Draco responded casually and wiped his hair with a towel. "What do you think father and the others are talking about?"
"Well, we'll know after they finish talking." Charles took them to the small flower hall, where snacks and hot tea had been prepared on the coffee table. "Eat something first. You must be hungry."
Draco hadn't eaten for the entire day, but the series of events that happened today had a great impact on him. He didn't feel hungry until he smelled the rich aroma of black tea. Then he realized that his stomach had been empty for a long time.
The three-layer snack tower disappeared quickly. Draco sighed contentedly while holding the teacup. An irrepressible drowsiness swept over him, and soon his head began to droop down.
Is this the character of Malfoy's only child? Where is the "cunning" nobleman? This guy doesn't look very smart!
Charles looked at the sleepy platinum boy with indescribable surprise in his eyes.
No, if he remembered correctly, Butler Tanaka did shoot Malfoy, right? Shouldn't Draco be wary of him now? Shouldn't he be worried about his father? Shouldn't he try to get out of his sight? Shouldn't he be worried about poison in the food?
What happened to the hostility towards Muggles? How come he not only ate all the snacks without any vigilance, but also started yawning?!
I just don't know if his performance is fake...
Charles didn't believe it! He didn't believe that the man who was full of black mud from the written materials would raise his only heir to be so simple and stupid!
This must be his disguise...
Charles tried again and again, but Draco's reaction forced him to believe his original opinion.
This guy is just as stupid as he thinks...
If someone with this kind of personality were to be placed in their aristocratic circle, he would be eaten to pieces without leaving anything behind, right?
Charles picked up a blanket and covered Draco, who was lying on the sofa and had fallen asleep, with it.
In fact, it was Lucius' fault that Draco had developed his current temper. When he inherited the Malfoy family, he had not yet graduated from Hogwarts. He was appointed to the position in a time of crisis. In addition, the wizarding world was not stable at that time. In order to successfully control Malfoy's assets, he suffered a lot. He did not want his son to encounter those things again, so he inevitably doted on Draco.
After all, the mysterious man has disappeared, and he still has a lot of time. He can watch the little dragon grow up slowly. When the little dragon grows up, he will teach him everything he knows little by little, and then his beloved son will take over the most powerful Malfoy family smoothly and without any disturbance.
Lucius's methods were tough and ruthless. The Malfoy family he led was the leader of the nobles in the wizarding world. This also led to the fact that the lesser nobles who were attached to Malfoy were mostly fawning towards Draco, and they dared not reveal any bad thoughts at all. You know, in the wizarding world, few people dared to face the anger of a Malfoy.
Draco was well protected by Lucius, and almost everyone he knew was friendly and polite. In this environment, even though he was a born Slytherin, arrogant and cunning, he still had some inappropriate naivety. After all, some things could not be experienced personally by just describing them with simple words.
The door of the flower hall was pushed open, and two men of outstanding appearance walked in one after another. Judging from the expressions on their faces, this conversation should have been quite pleasant.
"Mr. Malfoy, I'll be sorry to trouble you for the next while." After receiving Vincent's hint, Charles stood up and bowed slightly to Lucius.
Lucius looked at Ciel, who was almost perfectly behaved, and then at Draco, who was sleeping soundly on the sofa. He felt a little complicated. They were obviously the same age, but wasn't the gap between them a little too big?
Ciel followed Lucius's gaze and explained softly, "Draco may be exhausted."
No matter how tired you are, you shouldn't sleep here. Lucius frowned. Although he was not satisfied with Draco's behavior, he didn't wake him up directly after seeing his son's sleepy face. He raised the snake staff in his hand and cast a levitation spell on Draco, and said to Charles: "I hope you won't regret it then."
"Don't worry," the boy's beautiful blue eyes burned with a fire that Lucius was very familiar with, called "ambition." "I won't let you down."
