The Charles Becomes a Wizard
Chapter 93: Petrification and Snake Language
As the saying goes, good fortune never comes alone, and misfortune never comes alone.
The issue of students secretly making Horcruxes has not been completely suppressed yet, and another student who was inexplicably petrified appeared in the castle.
The British wizarding community was in a panic for a time, and the Ministry of Magic was even seriously considering closing Hogwarts for the safety of the cubs.
From the troll that suddenly appeared in the castle in the first semester, to the Horcruxes before, to the petrification incident today...how can Hogwarts still be the safest place in the British wizarding world?
Although most of the parents graduated from Hogwarts and have deep feelings for the castle, those feelings and memories do not seem to be that important compared to the safety of their own children.
Of course, some smart people have linked the troll incident last year to the savior who entered school in the same year. Hogwarts has stood on this land for hundreds of years and has always been safe. Why did so many things happen when the savior appeared?
Whether someone wanted to train him or someone wanted to target him, the end result was the same, their children were implicated by the Savior.
Because of the existence of the savior, Hogwarts is no longer safe.
Although no one expressed their thoughts for various reasons, everyone still had a grudge against the Savior.
Hogwarts has been plagued by accidents one after another, and Dumbledore, as the headmaster, cannot escape the blame. He needs to deal with accusations from students' parents, the Ministry of Magic, and even the entire wizarding world. He needs to attend various complicated meetings non-stop, and he needs to explain to everyone the necessity of the existence of Hogwarts...
This also resulted in the old principal spending less and less time on campus.
The students began to walk in groups. They became cautious, like frightened birds. The Hogwarts Castle, which was originally full of laughter and joy, turned into a gloomy and strange beast. You never know which corner you will be turned into a stone.
When the overall atmosphere was so tense, Professor Lockhart, in order to demonstrate his ability, forced Snape to create a duel club.
Ciel had no hope in Gilderoy Lockhart's ability and simply did not leave the dormitory. Draco went there with great interest, but looked very unhappy when he came back.
When Draco pushed the door open, Ciel was the only one in the room. He had sent Sebastian out to investigate the culprit who caused the petrification incident.
"What happened?" Charles looked at Draco in surprise, who had a gloomy face.
"Damn it, that scarred guy can speak Parseltongue!" Draco turned around twice in annoyance. "He can actually speak Parseltongue!"
"And yet he went to Gryffindor!"
Although he had been cramming for a while, Ciel still lacked common sense in the wizarding world and was puzzled: "Is there any conflict between knowing Parseltongue and going to Gryffindor?"
"Oh, Merlin's pointed shoes!" Draco exclaimed.
"What conflict?"
"Conflicts are everywhere! Oh, Ciel, you really should improve your common sense about the wizarding world." Draco reached out and grabbed his hair, then began to explain to Ciel tirelessly: "Even in the wizarding world, being able to understand or communicate with other creatures is a very special ability."
"And Parseltongue comes from the founder of Slytherin House, Salazar Slater, and his descendants."
"You don't think..." Harry is a descendant of Slytherin?
Charles felt that this guess was a little too far-fetched.
"Maybe he learned it himself?" Ciel suggested another idea. "Since you said it's a language, he should be able to do it after some study, right?"
"But didn't you tell me that Scarhead lived in the closet at his aunt's house?" Is it really possible to learn snake language in this situation?
Ciel was stumped by Draco's question.
"Did the Potters marry into the Slytherins before?"
If Draco's guess was true, then this bloodline could not have come from Harry's mother.
When Charles was checking Harry, he had already found out all the information he could about Lily Evans' ancestors.
"I don't think so." Draco shook his head, and then he became annoyed again.
"A Parseltongue! And he went to Gryffindor! How could he go to Gryffindor?"
Who doesn't know that Parseltongue is the symbol of Slytherin?
If Draco simply disliked the Savior before, now that Parseltongue was revealed, he has labeled the Savior a "traitor to Slytherin".
"Why can't he go?" Charles asked calmly.
"No, I mean he should be in Slytherin."
"But Slytherin and Gryffindor are both part of Hogwarts, right?"
Although the little snakes and little lions do not get along well...
"That's true, but how could he..."
"I suppose the Big Four were friends when they founded Hogwarts?"
"..."
"So," Ciel raised his eyebrows, "Did anyone stipulate that people with Slytherin blood can't enter Gryffindor?"
"..." Draco was speechless, but there was still some resentment on his face.
"Besides, we still haven't figured out why he can speak Parseltongue. Maybe he's just an exception," Charles added.
He still thought it unlikely that Harry was a descendant of Slytherin.
Seeing that Draco still looked unhappy, Ciel raised his index finger and shook it, "Look at the bright side, you should be glad that Harry went to Gryffindor. Otherwise, judging by the frequency of his getting into trouble and losing points, Slytherin might not be able to win the House Cup in the next few years. After all, there is no Dumbledore in Slytherin."
"The identity of the savior itself means trouble. As long as he is in Gryffindor, Gryffindor will never be able to settle down," Ciel laughed. "Perhaps we can regard him as a non-staff member of Slytherin?"
All the little snakes combined could not trip up the little lions as much as Harry alone could have done to Gryffindor.
"You don't have to dirty your hands, and you can watch a good show from time to time. What's wrong with that? Why do you have to drag trouble into your own home?"
The displeasure on Draco's face quickly turned into shock.
An unexpected but very reasonable angle emerges!
It seems to be true!
Think about Scarhead's stupid face, and think about how Gryffindor still has very few gems despite the hard work of those stupid lions day and night...
Draco straightened up instantly.
