Chapter 490: Hela's Defeat

The killing intent in Hela's eyes became stronger. She suddenly took a step back, waved her hands, and countless black swords gathered in the air again. With destructive power, she fiercely threw them towards Sephiroth.

Sephiroth was still as fast as lightning. His figure was like a blurry afterimage, and he instantly appeared in front of Hela, the long sword in his hand with a deadly cold light directly at her chest.

"Bang!" The two's weapons collided again, sparks flying. Hela's body shook slightly, and a trace of shock flashed in her eyes. She obviously did not expect Sephiroth's power to be so strong that it even threatened her life.

The corners of Hela's mouth twitched slightly, and she finally put away her disdainful expression. She slowly stood up, took a deep breath, looked at Sephiroth coldly, and said with a forced smile in her voice: "Okay, I admit that you are much stronger than I expected."

She slowly raised her hands, dark energy swirled around her fingertips, and a strange and cold breath began to fill the air. Suddenly, Hela waved her hands towards the sky, accompanied by a low spell, and the entire battlefield was instantly shrouded in a dark force.

"Undead, wake up!" Her voice seemed to come from the depths of hell, carrying with it endless chill.

As she finished her words, the ground began to tremble, and cracks spread out from under her feet, as if the entire ground was responding to her call. In the cracks, pairs of skeletal arms broke out of the ground, and then a group of undead warriors crawled out from the ground. Their eye sockets flashed with green light, and they held rusty swords and shields and let out low roars.

These undead warriors quickly assembled into a line, with an astonishing number, like a huge army of the dead. Hela stood at the forefront of these undead warriors, with a proud and cold light in her eyes, like a queen who controls life and death. She gently raised her arm, as if conducting a silent symphony, and the undead warriors immediately obeyed her orders and swarmed towards Sephiroth.

Hela did not stop, she gently clenched her hands in front of her, and countless dark swords appeared from her palms again, tightly grasping them. Each sword carried a breath of destruction, emitting a deadly cold light. Her eyes became sharp, without any hesitation in her eyes, and her figure was like black lightning, rushing towards Sephiroth with the undead warrior.

Facing this surging army of undead, Sephiroth remained calm, with no trace of emotion in his eyes. He held the sword tightly with both hands, his body sank slightly, his aura condensed on the sword's edge, and he seemed to be integrated with the sword in his hand.

"Come on." Sephiroth whispered to himself, the tip of the sword flashed slightly in the cold light, and the next second, his figure suddenly disappeared.

Just as the dead warriors approached him, Sephiroth suddenly appeared among them, and his long sword cut through the air in an elegant and deadly manner, and the sword light penetrated the first row of dead warriors like thunder. Before those dead warriors could react, their bodies were cut in half and fell to the ground, turning into black ash.

Sephiroth's movements were as swift as the wind, and his long sword danced like a dragon in his hand. Every strike was extremely accurate, without any waste. His figure shuttled through the undead army, like an elegant and deadly dance. Wherever his sword light touched, whether it was a shield or a long sword, or even the bodies of these undead warriors, they were instantly shattered.

"Bang!" With a loud noise, Sephiroth swung his sword again, and dozens of dead warriors exploded in the air, turning into black dust. Every time his sword fell, it would take away the lives of a large group of enemies. Although there were many dead warriors, in his eyes, they were like grass and vulnerable.

Hela stood in the distance, watching this scene coldly, with a flash of anger and unwillingness in her eyes. She didn't expect Sephiroth's power to be so strong that even her undead army could not stop him from advancing.

"This guy... is so difficult to deal with." Hela gritted her teeth, holding the dark sword tightly with both hands, and the murderous intent in her eyes became stronger. She no longer hesitated, stepped on the ground, and rushed towards Sephiroth like a black shadow. The long sword in her hand made a sound of breaking through the air and stabbed fiercely at his chest.

Sephiroth felt the murderous intent behind him, snorted coldly, swung his long sword, and turned around to attack. The two swords collided in the air, making a harsh metal collision sound. Sparks flew, and the power of the two people collided fiercely on the sword edge, and the air seemed to solidify in an instant.

Hela's power is undoubtedly terrifying. Every time she strikes the sword, it carries violent dark energy, enough to destroy any enemy. However, Sephiroth's reaction is faster and more accurate than she imagined. His swordsmanship is as smooth as flowing water. He can block her attack at the critical moment every time, and even suppress her offensive when counterattacking.

"You are too slow." Sephiroth's voice was low and cold. As soon as he finished speaking, his sword pierced Hela's abdomen like lightning.

Hila's pupils shrank, and she quickly retreated, narrowly avoiding the sword. However, Sephiroth's attack did not stop at all, and his sword seemed to have locked onto her every move, chasing her relentlessly. Every time he struck out with the sword, it was as fast as lightning, leaving Hila with almost no chance to counterattack.

"Damn it!" Hela gnashed her teeth, secretly anxious in her heart. She didn't expect that she would be completely suppressed in strength and speed, and even had little chance to fight back. She waved her hand suddenly, trying to summon more undead warriors to support her again, but Sephiroth's sword was already approaching.

"It's over." Sephiroth's voice rang out again, and his sword light, with unparalleled power, went straight to Hela's throat.

Hela was horrified and hurriedly dodged to the side, but she was still a step too slow. Sephiroth's sword slashed across her shoulder, leaving a streak of blood. Hela's body staggered and her face turned pale in an instant.

She covered her shoulders, her eyes filled with anger and unwillingness. She had never thought that she would be forced to such a point by an outsider.

"Do you want to continue?" Sephiroth stood in front of her, his eyes as cold as ice, the long sword in his hand pointed at her throat. The air was filled with a murderous atmosphere, as if if Hela made any more moves, his sword would pierce her body mercilessly.

Hela's wound healed quickly in a very short time. Before the blood on her shoulder had completely fallen, her muscles and skin had already healed completely. Hela raised her head slightly, and the cold smile appeared on the corner of her mouth again, and the contempt and pride in her eyes were rekindled.

“Do you think you can win this battle?” Hela sneered, her voice full of endless sarcasm and confidence. “I am the goddess of death. I rule not the living but the dead. I am immortal. My power comes from Asgard and from endless death!”

She moved her fingers slightly, and the dark energy surged out of her body again. The dark power spread from her limbs like a storm, gradually covering her whole body, as if forming a dark armor that covered every inch of her skin. At the same time, the cracks on the ground widened again, and more undead warriors awakened from underground, gathering into an endless army of undead.

"I am Hela!" Her voice resounded throughout the battlefield like thunder, with unquestionable majesty and glory. "I once conquered the Nine Realms alongside Odin! I was once the strongest warrior in Asgard, and the greatest conqueror! Both the living and the dead will surrender at my feet!"

Hela's body began to shake violently, and strong dark energy erupted. Every inch of her skin was filled with this endless power. Thousands of dark swords were generated around her, suspended in the air, as if they were about to sweep away everything. She swung her hands suddenly, and all the swords rushed towards Sephiroth with the power to tear the sky and the earth apart. The air was torn with a sharp whistle, as if to completely destroy everything in front of her.

Facing such a powerful attack, Sephiroth's expression remained calm. Even though the air around him was full of oppression, his figure remained upright and motionless. He gently clenched the long sword in his hand, and the silver blade flashed a cold light in the dim light.

"You rely too much on your immortality, Hela." Sephiroth said lightly, with a hint of contempt and disdain in his tone. He slowly raised the sword in his hand, leaned forward slightly, pointed the tip of the sword straight ahead, and his whole aura changed instantly.

"I won't tangle with you for too long." He whispered, with absolute coldness and confidence in his voice, "This is your last chance, don't let me down."

As he spoke, Sephiroth's figure suddenly blurred, and the whole person seemed to blend into the air. The next moment, his speed suddenly exploded, as if he turned into a silver lightning, approaching Hela at an unpredictable speed.

“What—?” A trace of astonishment flashed in Hela’s eyes, but before she could react, Sephiroth’s sword was already within reach.

"There is always someone better than you." Sephiroth said coldly, holding the sword tightly with both hands. The blade flashed with a cold silver light, as if it contained the power to destroy the world. His body spun in the air, and the sword swept out with unparalleled power.

"Kill." Sephiroth's voice was low and cold, and his sword flashed through the air.

The dark sword was completely destroyed at this moment, and Hela's offensive collapsed instantly. Sephiroth's sword split the dark barrier like lightning and hit Hela's chest directly. Her body was violently shaken by this powerful force, and the dark energy scattered and collapsed, as if even the air was torn apart.

Hela's eyes widened, the corners of her mouth trembled slightly, her body paused in the air for a moment, then lost support and fell slowly like a leaf. The dark energy of her figure receded like a tide.

Sephiroth landed slowly, his movements graceful and calm, as if the battle just now was just a simple practice for him. He stood in place, gently swinging the long sword in his hand, with a barely perceptible cold light still remaining on the blade.

"This is your end." Sephiroth said in a low voice, without any fluctuation in his tone, as if he had already become accustomed to the victory before him.

Thor and Loki stood not far away and witnessed all this. Thor's hand involuntarily clenched the Stormbreaker, his eyes full of shock and admiration. Even though he was the God of Thunder, he had to admit that Sephiroth was much more powerful than he had imagined.

Loki stood aside, his arms folded across his chest, a look of mixed emotions in his eyes.

"This is the pinnacle of power." Loki murmured in a low voice, his eyes deep.

Hela fell to the ground, and the battlefield returned to peace. Sephiroth's figure remained upright, and the long sword in his hand gently stabbed into the ground, as if marking the end of this battle.

In the end, Sephiroth won, but Hela will always remember this defeat.
