Became good friends with the Boy Who Lived

Chapter 11 Trip to Diagon Alley

Professor Dumbledore took Aries to Gringotts Wizarding Bank first. When the goblin guard at the door saw Professor Dumbledore, he quickly bowed and Professor Dumbledore also nodded.

The moment they walked into the hall, the busy goblins stopped their work almost at the same time and saluted Professor Dumbledore, who smiled and returned the salute.

"What a rare visitor!" A short goblin came forward and said in a somewhat sarcastic tone, "Mr. Dumbledore, what brings you here?"

"Good morning, Shiron," Professor Dumbledore said gently without showing any displeasure, "I am bringing Mr. Grindelwald to collect some of his money."

Shiron looked at Aeris with malicious eyes and said with a fake smile: "So~ did Mr. Grindelwald bring his key?"

Aeris didn't like this humanoid creature at all. He took the key out of his pocket and waved it in front of Shiron without saying anything.

"Very good!" Shilon said coldly.

Led by a goblin, an old man and a young boy rode on something like a small mine cart, speeding along the track. Professor Dumbledore looked very happy and seemed to like the feeling of riding a roller coaster.

They stopped at the door of a huge treasury. The goblin leading the way hung the oil lamp in his hand on the wall. "Key, thank you!" The goblin's tone was emotionless. Aeris handed him the key. As the treasury opened, a magical halo shone by.

The goblin returned the key to Aeris in a businesslike manner and stepped aside. The treasury was filled with mountains of gold coins, various gems, gold objects, and so on.

Aeris laughed bitterly and said jokingly: "Although I don't know my grandfather, it seems that I am a third-generation rich man!"

Professor Dumbledore was also amused and chuckled.

"Professor Dumbledore," Aris said, "I don't know much about the prices in the wizarding world. Can you give me some advice? That is...how much should I take?"

Professor Dumbledore looked at him approvingly and gave pertinent advice. Aeris followed his advice and did not take a single extra gold coin.

After leaving Gringotts, Professor Dumbledore took Aries to wander around Diagon Alley and bought textbooks and various necessary learning supplies.

Aries also bought some magic candies. When he handed a large box of ice cream sundae to Professor Dumbledore, Professor Dumbledore smiled with satisfaction.

Wherever they went, they would be stared at by many people, and some little wizards of the same age as Aries would whisper, "It's Dumbledore! The greatest wizard in the world, who is the brown-haired boy next to him?..."

Many people came over to greet Professor Dumbledore. Professor Dumbledore seemed to know everyone and could accurately call out the name of everyone who spoke to him. Facing Aris's curious gaze, Professor Dumbledore simply explained: "They all studied at Hogwarts and are my students!"

This sentence shocked Aesop so much that he was dumbfounded. This is what it means to have “students all over the world”!

When they went to the owl shop to buy a delivery owl, there was a commotion in the owl shop, and a big black raven flew out of the shop and stood steadily on Aes' shoulder.

Aeris was startled and looked into the eyes of the raven. The raven had no intention of attacking. Aeris shook his shoulders tentatively, and the raven stood on his shoulders without moving.

"Please don't scare it away," a young clerk ran out, "it won't go into the cage."

The raven cawed twice threateningly, and Aesius said hesitantly: "Will you come with me? Be my messenger?" The raven nodded humanely.

"I bought it!" said Aeris.

The clerk was relieved. He said, "That's great. You don't know. It beat up almost all the owls. It's nice to see you again, Professor Dumbledore."

Professor Dumbledore also smiled and said, "I feel relieved to see you so energetic, Mages!"

After leaving the Owl Shop, Aries carefully checked the list, "I also need a wand!" Aries said, and Professor Dumbledore said, "This way!"

They came to a shabby shop. Compared with the surrounding shops, it looked dilapidated. In the glass window, an old wand was displayed on a faded red cushion. The gold paint on the plaque had also fallen off a lot. Aeris took a glance and saw the plaque read: Ollivander's Wand Shop.

There were some small words on the plaque, but Aries didn't pay attention to them. He opened the door and Professor Dumbledore walked into the shop first, followed by Aries. The wind chimes on the door kept ringing.

A skinny old man walked out from the back hall. When he saw Professor Dumbledore, his big silver-gray eyes were obviously stunned for a moment, and a gentle but hoarse voice sounded: "Albus? How many years have we not seen each other?"

"Are you well, Garrick?" Professor Dumbledore greeted Mr. Ollivander as if they were close friends who had not seen each other for many years.
