When the Christmas holidays arrived, the students in Hogwarts who were frightened by the attack could not wait to take the train home in order to spend a peaceful Christmas at home, which resulted in very few students spending the holiday in the castle.

Hermione and Draco also stayed during the Christmas holiday. Without the worries of studies and homework, they had a great time for a few days.

Harry always wandered around the castle intentionally or unintentionally, hoping to hear that strange voice again.

One day after the holiday, Aris followed Harry around the castle helplessly. Hermione went to the library. Draco was annoyed by Harry's wandering around these days and hid in the Slytherin common room. Ron followed Aris and Harry.

After turning a corner of a corridor, a large amount of water flowed towards the three people.

"Was anyone attacked again?" Ron asked with a grim expression.

"Unlikely," Aris said. "It's the holiday season now, and whatever that thing is in the secret room won't be able to find anyone even if it wants to attack."

"The water is coming from that direction," said Harry, "Let's go over and take a look." Then Harry strode towards the direction where the water was flowing.

"Do you think that's wise?" Ron muttered, following Harry's lead.

Aeris quickly followed, and the three of them came to a bathroom, the same bathroom that they had tried to enter last time but were stopped by Percy.

Harry turned the doorknob and was about to go in, but Ron hesitated: "Is it appropriate? Harry, this is the girls' bathroom after all..."

Harry looked around and said, "Hermione also said that no one usually comes here."

"I'm just afraid Percy might suddenly jump out..." Ron said sullenly.

As the bathroom door was opened, the three of them hurried in, and Harry closed the door with extraordinary skill.

A pearly white ghost was crying. Its long brown hair was comically combed into two parts and tied with rubber bands. Well... I think it was tied with rubber bands. It wore a pair of funny big glasses on its face.

It was still wearing the witch robe representing Ravenclaw College and was crying heartbrokenly. The "rushing" sound of water in the bathroom made its crying less obvious outside the bathroom door.

Noticing that there were three uninvited guests in its territory, it looked over and stopped at Harry. It said in a pretentious and coy voice, "Oh! I recognize you, you are Harry Potter!" After saying that, it chuckled shyly, and then its voice became fierce, "What are you doing here?"

"Hello," Harry asked tentatively, "What should I call you..."

"People call me Moaning Myrtle," the shy voice said again, and then a fierce voice said, "Are you here to throw things at me too?"

"Um... excuse me," said Ron, "Is it okay to throw things at you? I mean... those things can't hit you..."

Before Ron could finish, Moaning Myrtle shouted angrily, "Great... As long as the things can't hit me... you can throw things at me at will... If you throw them on my chest, you'll get ten points... If you throw them on my head, you'll get twenty points..."

"Who was throwing that thing at you?" Harry asked quickly.

"I didn't see clearly..." the shy voice sounded again, "I was thinking about life and death, and a man walked in, just like you, without asking for my consent. That man turned on all the faucets and then threw something at me..." After saying that, Moaning Myrtle pointed in a direction and dived into a water outlet.

Harry walked over curiously and picked up an old notebook with a black cover from the water. Aeris and Ron looked at Harry curiously from behind.

The accumulated water here did not damage the notebook at all. After Harry shook it hard, the notebook was as clean as if it had never been touched by water.

Harry flipped through the notebook at random and found that there were no notes or words in it. There was only a line of words written on the title page, and Harry read it out:

"This diary belongs to Tom Riddle"

"Whose diary do you say this belongs to?" Aeris asked with a frown.

"Tom Riddle," Harry repeated, looking at Aris in confusion. "What's the problem?"

Aris groaned for a moment and said, "Last year, Professor Dumbledore mentioned to me inadvertently that Voldemort's name when he was a student was Tom Riddle..."

Ron let out an incomprehensible cry of fear, Harry's hand trembled, and the diary fell into the water again...

On Christmas Day, heavy snow fell outside the castle. When the few people who had slept well came to the restaurant wearing Weasley sweaters, Draco sat at the Gryffindor table with an unnatural look on his face, also wearing a Weasley sweater.

This left Fred and George stunned. They circled around Draco several times, marveling at his actions.

Fred: "Mom is so partial. Whether it's Aris, Harry, or Malfoy, their sweaters are prettier than ours."

George: "Little brother, welcome to join our big family..."

Draco glared at the two of them unceremoniously and said in a drawn-out tone, "If you are not hungry, don't disturb me while I am eating."

"Can you two stop teasing him?" Ron said dissatisfiedly.

Fred: "Yoho! Has little Ronnie gotten a little carried away lately?"

George: "Hehehe... I have to ask Lee Jordan for more spider eggs."

Seeing Ron's face turn ugly, the twins put their arms around each other's shoulders, laughed and went to eat nearby.

Ginny was also wearing a Weasley sweater, but she looked unhealthy and sat in a corner away from the crowd, drinking her oatmeal in silence.

Percy went over to sit next to Ginny several times, as if trying to counsel her, but seemed to leave in disappointment after Ginny said something.

It was snowing heavily outside. After breakfast, people came to the "DA Cottage". Ginny also came with everyone. They did not practice spells in the "DA Cottage", but played in the small park of this small world. Fred and George set off several fireworks, which stayed in the air for a long time and formed various patterns.

When everyone was tired of playing, they sat around an open space. In the middle of the space, Aris conjured a large stone brazier out of stone, Hermione conjured a series of beautiful bluebells flames, and Fred and George took out a lot of food and seasonings from a small handbag, preparing for a magical flame barbecue.

Aeris looked at the twins in surprise and asked incredulously, "How long has it been since you mastered the Traceless Extension Charm? Cedric hasn't even learned it yet."

Fred and George looked at each other proudly and smiled. Fred said, "We just practiced it a few times and learned it."

George said darkly, "That's right. We have destroyed almost all the containers in our dormitory. The other roommates have submitted a "dormitory change application" to Professor McGonagall."

"You two are actually very talented..." said Aries, but before Aries could finish, Fred interrupted him.

"Our talents are all in mischief," said Fred as he grilled himself over the magic flames. "What good would it do us even if we were good at studying?"

George said, "Don't say that, Fred. If we study hard, we may be able to successfully sneak into the Ministry of Magic. We can find an opportunity to hide a firework under the chair of the Minister of Magic."

Fred: "That's great, George. That's a great plan, but if we study well, we might become prefects or even student council president, and I can't afford to lose that position."

"Maybe Ron will become a prefect." Aris said with a smile. Ron chewed a sausage and looked at Aris in confusion.

Fred curled his lips and said, "Little Ronnie, don't blame me for not reminding you. If you dare to become a prefect, I will sever our brotherhood."

George stuffed the roasted bacon to Ron and said with a smile, "When little Ronnie becomes the prefect, we will put hundreds of spider bombs in his room and celebrate."

Ron glared at the twins fiercely. Everyone was laughing, but Aris noticed that Ginny had been silent and looked very sad.

While everyone was chatting, Harry took out Tom Riddle's diary and flipped through it intently, wanting to know what secrets the young Voldemort had hidden in the diary.

When Ginny saw Harry take out Tom Riddle's diary, her expression instantly became terrified. She stretched out her hands and tightly grasped Harry's arm holding the diary. Harry did not expect Ginny's action, and he lost his grip and Tom Riddle's diary fell into the magical flames.

"I'm sorry, Harry," Ginny apologized in a trembling voice, "I didn't mean to..."

"Hermione..." Harry said anxiously, "Put out the flame, quickly!" Hermione retracted the blue bellflower flame. In the stone brazier, a black leather diary lay intact in the brazier. Harry picked it up. The diary, which had been burned by the flames for a while, did not have any temperature at all.

Ginny's face became even uglier. Realizing the delicate situation, Fred and George volunteered to take their little sister back to the common room.

"What on earth is this thing, Potter," Draco asked, "that makes you so nervous."

"This is Voldemort's school diary," said Harry.

Hermione gasped and Draco nearly fell out of his seat as Hermione stammered, "Is…is…is this really…are you sure?"

Harry glanced at Aries, who said, "To be honest, we are not 100% sure. The owner of this diary is Tom Riddle. As far as I know, Voldemort's name when he was a student was Tom Riddle. However, this name is not particularly rare, and it is possible that someone with the same name and surname could have the same name."

For a moment, everyone's expression was extremely solemn.

"What kind of monster do you think is in the Chamber of Secrets?" Draco said, noting that the atmosphere was somewhat heavy.

"Let's make a bold guess and verify it carefully," Aris said, "Slytherin's house symbol is a snake, and Slytherin is also a well-known snake whisperer, so could there be a very big snake in his chamber of secrets?"

Harry opened his eyes wide in thought and looked at Aries, who nodded at him imperceptibly. Hermione, who noticed their little movements, also fell into deep thought.

Another incident happened during the holiday. A thief broke into the dormitory of Aris, Harry and his friends.

Harry, who had studied the diary to no avail, hid it under his bed in the dormitory. The snow that had been falling for several days finally stopped, and a group of people went to the field outside the castle to have snowball fights and build snowmen. Aeris cast several exquisite Transfiguration spells to make the snowmen he had built move. With his own strength, he surrounded the dozen people who stayed in school for the holiday.

When Aris, Harry and others, who were soaking wet, returned to the dormitory, they were shocked by the scene in front of them. Their dormitory was in a mess, and all kinds of objects were scattered everywhere. If you didn't know, you would think that the dormitory had experienced a small typhoon.

Aeris waved his wand and returned all the objects to their original places, saying, "Someone must be rummaging through something."

"He succeeded anyway," said Harry ruefully. "Tom Riddle's diary is missing."

As the holiday was coming to an end, the attack happened again. When Aris, Harry and Ron saw Hermione lying on the hospital bed after being petrified, Harry and Ron seemed at a loss, and Aris's teeth were chattering.

"You dare to touch my friend, do you want to die?" Aeris looked at the petrified Hermione and said ruthlessly, "No matter what the hell is in the Chamber of Secrets, I will tear its bones apart. I mean what I say."

Harry and Ron, who had never seen Edwards in such a state, were frightened. Harry tried to comfort Edwards. Edwards took a few deep breaths, regained his composure and said, "I'm fine, Harry." Then he held Hermione's clenched hand and frowned. Hermione seemed to be holding something in her hand. Edwards took the thing out of Hermione's hand calmly and put it in his pocket.

"Miss Granger was found outside the library," said Professor McGonagall. "You are still a student, Mr. Grindelwald, don't do anything dangerous. When Miss Granger was found, she was holding a small mirror in her hand. Do you know what Miss Granger meant?" Several people shook their heads at the same time.

After several people were driven out of the school hospital by Madam Pomfrey, Aris took Harry and Ron to a secluded place and took out the thing he got from Hermione. It was a piece of paper full of words. Several people read it curiously:

"Among the many monsters roaming the magic world, the most terrifying is the basilisk. Among a million snake eggs, there is a chance that a basilisk will be born. The basilisk is huge, and its fangs are extremely venomous. It can kill instantly if it sees blood. If there is enough food, it will live a long life. Anyone who looks at a basilisk will die immediately. Only the snake speaker can control the behavior of a basilisk."

"So," Ron said in a dry voice, "there's a basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets?"

"No wonder I could understand what it was saying," Harry said, looking at Aris. "It really is a snake."

Aris took Harry and Ron to Professor Lockhart's office and managed to get a few "Library Prohibited Book Reading Permits", which was actually just asking Professor Lockhart to sign a few permission slips, which was not very difficult.

Then, several people rushed to the library without stopping. Under Madam Pince's suspicious gaze, they handed the note signed by Professor Lockhart to Madam Pince, and entered the restricted book area under Madam Pince's scrutinizing gaze.

"I still don't understand, what are we doing here?" Ron asked puzzled.

"We know too little about the basilisk. We need to know how to deal with it." Aeris answered while flipping through an ancient book.

Harry was also aimlessly flipping through an old book. Ron, impatient, asked in a low voice, "If just staring at a basilisk will kill you, of course I don't mean anything else. I'm just curious why the person who was attacked was only petrified and not dead."

"Because no one actually made eye contact with it," Harry replied. "Remember? Almost everyone who was attacked made eye contact with it indirectly."

"Mrs. Norris saw the basilisk through the water on the floor," Aeris said casually.

"Colin saw the basilisk through the camera," Harry continued.

"Justin Finch-Fletchley saw the basilisk through the ghost Nick. You can't expect the dead Nick to die again, right?" said Aris.

"After Hermione knew that it was the basilisk that attacked the students, she used a small mirror to observe the surroundings and said that she would tell other students about this after school started," said Harry.

They spent an afternoon in the restricted section of the library, but gained nothing.

During dinner, a piece of news that was no less than tragic was circulated among the few students who stayed on campus:

The headmaster of Hogwarts, Professor Albus Dumbledore, was impeached by the school directors headed by Lucius Malfoy. The Ministry of Magic decided to temporarily remove Professor Dumbledore from the position of headmaster of Hogwarts and ordered Professor Dumbledore to leave Hogwarts. The vice-headmaster, Professor Minerva McGonagall, was temporarily appointed as the headmaster of Hogwarts.

"Professor Dumbledore is gone," Ron said in a desperate voice. "Under the shadow of the basilisk, is there still hope for this school?"

Everyone looked at Draco at the Gryffindor table. Draco said unnaturally, "I can't stop my father from doing anything."
