Became good friends with the Boy Who Lived

Chapter 82 Professor Snape's Trouble

Hogwarts Castle underwent a third thorough inspection, but the result was obvious: nothing was found once again.

During breakfast, Neville received a howling letter from his grandmother, old Mrs. Longbottom. When Neville ran out of the restaurant in fear with the howling letter, old Mrs. Longbottom's extremely disappointed voice echoed throughout the castle.

She said that Neville had brought shame to his excellent parents, brought disgrace to the Longbottom family, and made her, the old lady who had raised Neville since he was a child, unable to hold her head up in front of Professor McGonagall.

Knight Don Quixote ended his brief gatekeeping duties, and Professor Dumbledore took great pains to get the Fat Lady back.

The Fat Lady was still a little nervous, and at her strong request, Professor Dumbledore hired a group of unreasonable dwarfs to protect the Fat Lady's portrait.

Soon, the day to go to Hogsmeade arrived again. At Ron's instigation, Harry decided to secretly go to Hogsmeade again, which made Hermione quite dissatisfied.

"You are putting yourself in danger," Hermione said seriously, with a bit of Professor McGonagall's authority. "Sirius Black showed up in your dormitory. Who knows if he might be hiding in Hogsmeade."

"Okay, Miss Know-It-All," said Aris, "we'll just go to crowded places, and nothing will happen. And, Harry, you need to bring your Invisibility Cloak with you this time."

"Eris, how come even you..." Hermione said weakly, "Forget it, you guys go, I won't go."

"No," said Aeris, "you have to come too, Miss Know-it-all."

"But I still have so much homework..." Hermione said in a dilemma.

"The strings will break if they are stretched too tight," Aeris advised. "You really need to relax, Hermione."

On Saturday morning, Ron said to Harry, "See you later!" and followed Aris and Hermione towards Hogsmeade village.

This time they waited a long time in Honeydukes's house before Ron's robes were tugged at and Harry, hidden under his Invisibility Cloak, emerged.

To be on the safe side, Aeris asked Harry to hide under the Invisibility Cloak all the time. This not only made Harry feel uncomfortable, but Hermione and Ron also felt weird. Just imagine, an invisible friend.

As if feeling really suffocated, Harry took off the part of the Invisibility Cloak on his head and took a deep breath. Archer quickly put it back on him.

"Come on, Harry," said Aris. "Can you imagine how scary it would be to have a head floating in midair?"

They didn't have a great time that day. To be more precise, Harry didn't have a great time. It can only be said that when he could have been having fun, being a nobody in the crowd was not a pleasant experience.

In the afternoon, at Hermione's insistence, they hurriedly ended their trip to Hogsmeade village. Harry took the secret passage back to Hogwarts, and the others also walked back.

When Aris and his companions returned to Hogwarts, the first person they saw was Professor Snape, who looked as if he was smiling. Behind him stood Harry, who looked nervous. It seemed that the two of them were waiting for Aris, Hermione and Ron to come back.

"Come with me!" said Professor Snape, and then he walked towards his office.

The companions exchanged glances and followed Professor Snape.

Professor Snape opened the door of his office, pointed inside and said, "Go in!"

Several people filed in. Professor Snape finally entered the office, closed the door tightly, and said stiffly, "Everyone, sit down."

After everyone sat down in the armchairs, Professor Snape did not sit down, but looked at each of them with a sinister look.

Finally, Professor Snape's gaze rested on Harry. "A few minutes ago," Professor Snape's emotionless voice sounded, "Mr. Michael Dankhan of Slytherin College told me a strange story."

Several people looked at each other, not knowing what Professor Snape was talking about. Professor Snape continued, "Mr. Dankhan said that when he was wandering around the joke shop in Hogsmeade Village, he saw Mr. Potter's head floating next to Mr. Grindelwald. Do you four have anything to explain to me about this?"

Aris said with a playful smile: "Could it be that Mr. Dankhan played a little joke on you?"

"Quiet, Mr. Grindelwald," said Professor Snape. "Would you play such a joke on Professor McGonagall?"

"Indeed not," said Aris, "I am not the kind of person who would tell parents if I saw something strange..."

Professor Snape looked at Aris meaningfully, then turned to Harry and said quietly, "Mr. Potter's head is not allowed to enter Hogsmeade. In fact, no part of his body can appear in any corner of Hogsmeade."

"I'm well aware," Harry said calmly, "that it sounds like Mr. Dankhan is hallucinating. I suggest he go to Madam Pomfrey..."

"Mr. Dankhan is not hallucinating," Professor Snape roared. He bent down and rested his hands on the armrests of the chair where Harry was sitting. He looked into Harry's emerald eyes, and his black pupils seemed to be able to spit out flames.

"If your head went to Hogsmeade, the rest of your body must be there too," Professor Snape said slowly.

"I've been in the Gryffindor common room..." Harry was interrupted by Professor Snape before he could finish his words.

"Can anyone prove it?" Professor Snape stood up and looked at the other three people. "Don't expect them to prove it to you. I saw them return to Hogwarts from Hogsmeade with my own eyes."

After a long silence, Professor Snape showed a creepy smile and said quietly, "Miss Lily Evans' sacrifice is really worthless. She sacrificed her precious life for her beloved child, but this child did not appreciate his mother's efforts at all."

Aris could sense that Harry was on the verge of exploding, but Professor Snape continued to speak to himself:

"Everyone, including the Minister of Magic, is working hard to protect the famous Harry Potter from being harmed by Sirius Black, but the famous Harry Potter himself is the rule. Even if those insignificant people are forced to risk their lives for him, he will not consider the consequences at all, and will not consider that his actions may cause harm to innocent people."

Aeris could already hear Harry's teeth grinding.

But Professor Snape hadn't finished his words yet: "Your mother has so many advantages, but why are you so much like your father, Mr. Potter? You only achieved a little success in the Quidditch game, but you are so arrogant with your friends and those blind admirers..."

"Shut up..." Harry yelled regardless.

Professor Snape was not angry. He said slowly, "For openly contradicting the professor, Gryffindor will deduct 50 points. As expected, the rules are made for those who follow the rules, not for Quidditch geniuses like you. Your father is also..."

"I'm not arrogant," Harry stood up from the armchair and shouted, "Neither is my father. Don't think I don't know. Professor Dumbledore told me that my father saved your life. If it weren't for my father, you wouldn't be standing here. You don't have the slightest gratitude, but you keep insulting him."

Professor Snape's face turned pale. He said nonchalantly, "You actually expect me to be grateful to him? How much butter beer did you drink in Hogsmeade to say such nonsense? Didn't the headmaster tell you what happened?"

Harry bit his lip and said nothing, and the others looked at each other.

Professor Snape spoke as if he was narrating someone else's story: "I don't want you to be expelled with the wrong idea. Your father and his friends would always wander around late at night, of course not in the castle. Hogwarts Castle was no longer enough to satisfy them. They would sneak to Hogsmeade Village or the Forbidden Forest. They took advantage of my curiosity and played a fatal joke on me. If their joke succeeded, yes, I would die, but they would also be ruined. At least they would go to Azkaban to live together for a few years. At the last moment, your father found his conscience and saved me, himself, and his friends. Now, do you think your father is really a saint?"

A creepy smile twisted Professor Snape's face, and he suddenly growled, "Turning out everything in your pockets, Mr. Potter."

Harry looked devastated. He uncomfortably turned out everything in his pockets. All kinds of things filled Professor Snape's desk, including candies, magic tricks, and the Marauder's Map.

Looking at the things on the table, Professor Snape smacked his lips in admiration. "These are the things we gave to Harry last time..." Ron said suddenly.

"I don't remember giving you permission to speak, Mr. Weasley," said Professor Snape. "You've been keeping the things from last time in your pocket until now? Your friendship is almost moving me to tears."

Professor Snape accidentally picked up the Marauder's Map. At this time, the Marauder's Map looked like an ordinary, worn parchment.

"What is this?" said Professor Snape.

"A piece of Joke Trick Parchment," said Hermione, "my Christmas present to Harry."

"I don't remember asking you to speak, Miss Know-It-All," said Professor Snape. "Since it's just a joke, why don't I throw it away?" After that, Professor Snape sent the Marauder's Map towards the fireplace.

"No!" Harry and Ron said in unison. It was too late for Aeris to stop them. Professor Snape looked at them meaningfully, tapped his wand on the blank Marauder's Map, and said quietly, "Show me your secret."

Lines of words appeared on the Marauder's Map:

Mr. Moon Face greets you and advises you not to stick your abnormally large nose into other people's business.

Professor Snape's face froze, and the others were also stunned, but this was not the end:

Mr. Prongs seconded, You are such an ugly, perverted idiot.

Aeris covered his face. If it hadn't been so inappropriate, he would have laughed out loud. Then the words appeared:

Mr. Padfoot expressed his surprise, asking when a fool like you would appear in Hogwarts.

Ron was already trying very hard to hold back his laughter, and the text was gradually coming to an end, but the last sentence still appeared:

Mr. Wormtail sends his regards and kindly advises you to wash your hair quickly because it is covered in mud.

Professor Snape looked at Harry strangely. After a while, he walked silently to the fireplace, grabbed a handful of shiny powder from the jar on the shelf next to the fireplace, and sprinkled it on the flames in the fireplace.

"Remus~" Professor Snape said, "Come to my office for a moment."

The flames in the fireplace turned emerald green, just like the color of Harry's eyes. Professor Lupin walked out of the emerald green flames and said gently, "What can I do for you, Severus?"
