Siheyuan: The rise and fall of the He family is our responsibility
Chapter 302: My ankle hurts a little
"Yuzhui, you are really the pride of our courtyard!" said Uncle Liu, raising his glass.
"No, no, we are all the same, working hard to make a living." He Yuzhu answered modestly.
After the dinner, He Yuzhu and Zhang Xiaomei sat on a stone bench in the yard, looking at the starry sky. He Yuzhu held Zhang Xiaomei's hand, feeling extremely happy.
"Xiaomei, I have an idea." He Yuzhu said suddenly.
"What idea?" Zhang Xiaomei asked curiously.
"I think we can open our own blacksmith shop together, not only to do repairs, but also to make some exquisite ironware, so that more people can know about our craftsmanship." He Yuzhu said with anticipation.
Zhang Xiaomei's eyes sparkled after hearing this. "That's a good idea. I believe you can do it."
"Let's work together to make our lives better," He Yuzhu said firmly.
The days continued to pass in a dull and fulfilling way. He Yuzhu and Zhang Xiaomei began to work hard for their dreams. They saved every penny, accumulated experience and resources, and prepared to open their own blacksmith shop in the future.
One weekend, He Yuzhu and Zhang Xiaomei decided to go to the market in the suburbs for an inspection. The market was crowded with people, and the hawking of various small vendors was endless. He Yuzhu and Zhang Xiaomei shuttled through the bustling crowd and carefully observed the goods on each stall.
"Yuzhu, look at the ironware in this stall, it seems very unique." Zhang Xiaomei said, pointing to a stall.
He Yuzhu walked over and carefully looked at the ironware on the stall. These ironware were exquisitely made and unique in shape. He chatted with the stall owner to learn about the production process and sales of these ironware.
"Your ironware is very good. We also want to try to make some such products." He Yuzhu said sincerely.
The stall owner smiled and said, "All of our ironware is handmade, which requires great skills and patience, but you can try."
He Yuzhu nodded, and had more ideas in his mind. They continued to wander around the market, learning how to make various handicrafts, and accumulated a lot of inspiration and experience.
After returning to the courtyard, He Yuzhu began to try to make some new ironware. He combined his own ideas with the inspiration he saw in the market and made some unique ironware. Zhang Xiaomei was responsible for the design and decoration. Their cooperation made these ironware more exquisite and practical.
When the neighbors in the courtyard saw these novel ironwares, they expressed their appreciation and support. Their works gradually spread in a small area, and more people began to come and buy them.
"Yuzhu, your craftsmanship is getting better and better." Aunt Wang praised.
"Thank you, Aunt Wang. It's all Xiaomei's good design." He Yuzhu responded with a smile.
Zhang Xiaomei smiled shyly and said, "We will continue to work hard."
As time went by, He Yuzhu and Zhang Xiaomei's ironware became more and more popular. They decided to expand production and open their own blacksmith shop. After some preparation, they finally rented a small shop on the corner of the street and officially started their own business.
On the opening day, all the neighbors of the courtyard came to support the event. They gathered together and gave their sincerest blessings to He Yuzhu and Zhang Xiaomei.
"Yuzhui, Xiaomei, I wish you a prosperous business and lots of money!" said Uncle Liu.
"Thank you all for your support, we will do a good job!" He Yuzhu replied excitedly.
After the new store opened, He Yuzhu and Zhang Xiaomei became even busier. During the day, they were busy in the store, making and selling various ironware. At night, they discussed new designs and improvement plans at home. Despite the hard work, they were full of expectations for the future.
"Master He, this pair of scissors is a treasure passed down from my ancestors. Unfortunately, it is very rusty now and it is not easy to cut with it. Can you help me fix it?" The customer looked at He Yuzhu expectantly.
He Yuzhu took the iron scissors, examined them carefully, nodded and said, "These iron scissors are well-made, they should be able to be repaired, but it will take some time."
"It doesn't matter. As long as it can be repaired, I will wait no matter how long it takes." The customer said quickly.
He Yuzhu took the scissors back to the workshop and began to work on them carefully. He first used a steel brush to carefully clean off the rust on the scissors, then used fine sandpaper to polish them to make them smooth again. Then, he carefully sharpened the blades to make them sharp again. Throughout the whole process, he was fully focused and did not dare to be careless at all.
One night, Zhang Xiaomei walked into the workshop and saw He Yuzhu still working hard. She asked with concern: "Yuzhu, take a break. You haven't had a good rest these days."
He Yuzhu raised his head and said with a smile: "Xiaomei, this pair of scissors is very important to the guests. I have to fix it as soon as possible."
Zhang Xiaomei nodded and handed over a cup of hot tea. "Then don't be too tired. Take care of yourself."
After several days of careful repair, the iron scissors finally returned to their original state. He Yuzhu wiped his sweat with satisfaction and returned the iron scissors to the customer. The customer tried to cut the scissors and showed a happy smile on his face.
"Master He, thank you so much. These scissors are now better than before!" the customer said excitedly.
"You're welcome. This is my duty." He Yuzhu replied with a smile.
However, life's challenges are far more than these. One day, He Yuzhu was busy in the store when he suddenly received an urgent notice from his neighbor, Uncle Liu: "Yuzhu, Zhang Xiaomei is in trouble!"
He Yuzhu's heart tightened, and he quickly put down his work and rushed to the scene. It turned out that Zhang Xiaomei accidentally fell on the way home and sprained her ankle severely. She was helped home by her neighbors and was now lying on the bed, her face pale and beads of sweat on her forehead.
"Xiaomei, how do you feel?" He Yuzhu asked anxiously.
"Yuzhui, I'm fine, just my ankle hurts a little." Zhang Xiaomei forced a smile.
He Yuzhu held her hand distressedly and comforted her: "Don't worry, I will take care of you."
In order to take care of Zhang Xiaomei, He Yuzhu rushed between the blacksmith shop and home every day. During the day, he was busy working in the blacksmith shop, and at night he went home to take care of Zhang Xiaomei. Seeing this, the neighbors also lent a hand to help take care of Zhang Xiaomei.
"Yuzhui, go to work without worry. Xiaomei is here and we will take care of her," said Uncle Liu.
"Thank you all for your concern. I really appreciate it." He Yuzhu said with emotion.
With everyone's help, Zhang Xiaomei's injury gradually improved, but He Yuzhu began to be exhausted due to overwork. One day, he suddenly felt dizzy while working and almost dropped the hammer in his hand. When Old Zhang saw this, he quickly supported him and said, "Xiao He, what happened to you?"
