Crossing the Other World: My Warcraft System

Chapter 59: Attack of the Kobolds

On the other side of the mountain and the sea, there lived a group of dog-headed people. They were naughty and stupid, lively and stubborn. They lived freely in the dark cave and moved forward by the light of candles.

For the millions of lords fighting in Azeroth, who doesn’t have a few lives on their hands?

What Garin remembered most clearly was that the first named kobold who died at his hands was named Goldfang, a kobold leader he encountered in Elwynn Forest.

As the native race of Azeroth, the kobolds are naturally timid and cowardly. They will actively stay away from creatures that pose a threat to them. To be safer, they are so timid that they don't even go to the ground and live only underground.

Even so, the range of the Kobolds' activities is still too wide, and they may be found in various mountains or underground areas with rich mineral resources. In addition, the Kobolds have a very strong reproductive capacity, probably because there is nothing else to do in the dim mines except mining, and as long as there is enough food, they can reproduce.

When playing the Alliance, Garin fought from Elwynn Forest to Westfall, and when playing the Horde, he fought from Durotar to Stonetalon Mountains. In the end, he could also meet the Kobolds in Arathi Highlands.

He even did a quest line about kobolds in Highmountain of the Broken Isles, telling the story of the love-hate relationship between the tauren and kobolds in Highmountain.

The kobolds simply grew up with millions of great lords.

Garin had also heard a legend that the kobolds worked tirelessly underground day and night to dig for unknown treasures. When necessary, they would exchange some gold for daily necessities. The king of the kobolds hid all the gold and treasures and left a message:

"As an adventurer, do you want to get the treasure that the Kobold has accumulated for tens of millions of years? If you want, I'll give it all to you. Go find it. He has put all his wealth there!"

Treasure! An essential element of an adventurer's life is to search for treasure that is rich enough to rival a country!

However, this has little appeal to Garin. It would be better for him to occupy the Kuxu Mine and mine for decades, and still become rich enough to rival a country.

There is also the treasure of the ogres. The ogres must know it best. Garin remembered that the Withered Beard Tribe had a leader, the geomancer Flintag. Find him, capture him, subdue him, and then ask him about the treasure. Perfect!

After Amor's order was issued, the troops in the camp began to move. Master Karlu had already led the stealth team to advance, and Aragon's team was swapping shifts with Varokal's team to hand over the defense of the camp.

After a while, Aragorn's team took the lead, and three battalions of the Red Flame Army walked out of the camp, marching eastward in a mighty manner and entering the Alterac Mountains.

To deal with a tribe of kobolds, three thousand people were dispatched, just because of one word: stable!

Not long after the army entered the forest at the foot of the mountain, Aragorn raised his arm and stopped the team alertly, as if he had discovered something!

Just as the infantrymen had raised their shields and began to be on alert, Egghead came out of stealth in the dense forest and his figure slowly emerged.

Master Ludan walked through the team, came up to Jialin and Amor, and reported the reconnaissance intelligence to them.

"Your Highness, Lord Amor, the canyon entrance is two kilometers ahead. There are less than a hundred kobolds wandering in the canyon, and most of them are only low-level warriors. I went deep into the mine to check. The tunnels inside the mine are complicated and there are a large number of kobolds. The number is unclear at the moment, but roughly speaking, the Drybeard Kobolds should be a medium-sized tribe."

"Thank you for your hard work, Master."

After saying this, Garin looked at Amor, and after seeing that he had no objection, he issued an order: "Keep moving forward!"

After a while, Aragorn led the vanguard and arrived at the Bearded Canyon first.

The kobolds in the canyon were wandering around in a scattered manner, when suddenly one of them sniffed his huge nose.

The main force of the Red Flame Army is not like Egghead and his men. They carry deodorizing powder with them to prevent being discovered by enemies with a keen sense of smell while sneaking around.

A large number of humans gathered together, and although they were still at a low point, the kobolds' keen sense of smell came into play. The kobolds looked at the mouth of the canyon and immediately showed a horrified expression. He saw that the mouth of the canyon was densely packed with red figures.

Those figures are taller than the two kobolds, they are enemies!

"Ah! Ah! Ah!"

As the kobold ran towards the mine, he made sounds similar to the barking of a puppy, and then the rest of the kobolds also swarmed back into the mine.

It seems that they have to go back for reinforcements, but it doesn't matter. This kind of terrain is not suitable for ambush. Garin and his men's goal is to wait for the ogres to gather and then defeat them in one wave.

Defeat them, crush their spirit, energy and spirit, and then issue an edict of appeasement.

The width of the Drybeard Canyon was more than 200 meters. Aragon commanded the infantry to form two square formations and march in parallel. Behind them were more than 300 musketeers. Aragon was in the center of the team. His position increased the aura of the entire team.

Pious Aura: Level 4.5, provides an additional armor for surrounding friendly units.

Basically, when dealing with Kobolds, once the Aura of Piety is activated, their mining pickaxes will find it difficult to break through the infantry's defense.

When Aragorn's team reached the center of the canyon, a large group of kobolds rushed out of the mine.

The kobold in the front is the strongest among all the kobolds. He is about 1.2 meters tall and wears red and orange clothes. There are faint scale-like patterns on his exposed arms and he has two small horns on his head.

The weapons in their hands were varied, including maces, axes, javelins, spears, and some even held crossbows.

There were about four to five hundred of these strong kobolds, and they were probably warriors of the Withered Beard Tribe. Although there were many kobolds behind them, most of them were probably kobold diggers, holding mining tools as weapons, and they were not full-time guards of the tribe.

According to the racial division of labor among the kobolds, every forty kobolds can produce a small leader and two warriors. If the more than 400 warriors at the mouth of the canyon are all the guards of the Withered Beard Tribe, then this tribe should have nearly 10,000 kobolds.

There are more than 10,000 ogres. Fortunately, they only like to mine and dig holes, otherwise they would be a big scourge on the border of the kingdom.

The last kobold that appeared was the tallest of all the kobolds at the entrance of the mine and should be the leader of the kobolds. After he appeared, no new kobolds appeared in the mine.

The ogres here should be most of the adult males of the Withered Beard Tribe.

"Aw! Aww!"

"Ow!"

Garin could hear the barking of the dogs of the kobolds from afar. Even though they spoke goblin language, Garin could understand some of it, but he really didn't know the language of the kobolds.

Suddenly thinking of this, how could he persuade Gandalf to surrender if they couldn't communicate in the same language? He immediately notified Gandalf to teleport over through the Heart of Origin.
