Chapter 745: The Fall of Arthas

In the eastern part of Northrend, on a coast called Dagger Bay, Arthas landed with the fleet of Lordaeron.

But soon after setting up the camp, Arthas discovered that the continent of Northrend was vast, and he knew nothing about Mal'Ganis's whereabouts, as if he was not in Northrend at all.

Soon after, they were attacked by a group of undead. Fortunately, they were rescued by a group of dwarves who came to the Arctic to search for treasure. The leader of the dwarves was an old acquaintance of Arthas: his martial arts enlightenment teacher, Prince Muradin of Bronzebeard!

In the days that followed, Arthas and Muradin continued to advance inland into Northrend, and the fleet also moved northward along the coastline to establish new camps.

They searched for traces of Mal'Ganis and the treasure on the dwarven treasure map: a rune sword of great power, Frostmourne.

After a long time, they still got nothing. Arthas' heart was burning with anger. Later, the situation became worse. News came from Lordaeron's colony in Northrend that Terenas, at Uther's request, wanted to recall Lordaeron's fleet.

This fleet was sent on the expedition without the king's order. If they disobeyed the order and did not return home, they would be regarded as treason. In addition, after a long search and finding nothing, the soldiers were tired, hungry and cold, and they all wanted to return home, unwilling to continue to follow the prince and suffer in the Arctic.

Furious, Arthas hired a local mercenary army and burned all the ships, cutting off the return ships for tens of thousands of soldiers and forcing them to stay in Northrend. He then pinned the blame for the burning of the ships on the mercenaries and led the angry soldiers to kill them.

This sinister move of using a knife to kill someone was done very well, but it also caused a rift between Arthas and the honest Muradin.

Just when the two were about to break up, Ner'zhul sent the Undead army to surround the human and dwarf camps. In order to escape successfully, Muradin had to take Arthas to continue searching for Frostmourne to deal with the dreadlord hiding in the dark.

Finally, Arthas and Muradin came to the cave where Frostmourne was located following some deliberately left clues.

In order to gain powerful strength, the paranoid Arthas, despite Muradin's dissuasion, resolutely pulled out the cursed rune sword from the ice. The moment he pulled out Frostmourne, a powerful force surged towards him, freezing his blood and devouring his soul.

Muradin, who tried to stop Arthas, was severely injured by the sword energy mixed with icicles from Frostmourne, and his life or death was unknown!

After massacring the city and killing his master, Arthas' heart was occupied by darkness and his sanity was gone. He returned to the camp with the magic sword in his hand, cleared out the undead surrounding the camp, and killed Mal'Ganis with the magic sword.

After killing Mal'Ganis, the culprit who created the plague, he felt empty and guilty after his successful revenge. When his heart was most vulnerable, Ner'zhul summoned Arthas to the Frozen Throne through Frostmourne.

After the prince disappeared, some loyal soldiers led by Falric remained in the camp, waiting for the prince to return, while other Lordaeron soldiers and dwarves chose to leave Northrend.

They returned to the eastern continent to report the news of the prince to the King of Lordaeron, while the dwarves returned to the King of Ironforge to report the news that their Prince Muradin was killed by the Prince of Lordaeron!

In the Frozen Throne, Ner'zhul tore apart the last bit of humanity in Arthas, and dark knowledge flowed into his consciousness. He learned to use dark necromancy magic, and he became the Lich King's loyal servant, the Death Knight Arthas.

This is a very strange state. Although he has become a Death Knight, his body is still alive, but it contains blood, ice and the power of death.

After becoming a Death Knight, he returned to the camp and easily killed the knights and soldiers loyal to him, and then transformed them into his loyal Scourge warriors. Among them, his guard captain Falric, Marwyn, and the generals in the fleet were all made by Arthas into the first Death Knights of the Scourge.

They will be brought back to the eastern continent by Arthas as the main force to destroy Lordaeron.

However, Arthas had no idea that the so-called Mal'Ganis he killed was not Mal'Ganis himself, but another dreadlord Detheroc who had sneaked into Azeroth in disguise. Not only did Arthas choose the wrong target for revenge, but he also killed the wrong person. This revenge was simply in vain.

From the outbreak of the plague to the present, Arthas has been living on the path set for him by Ner'zhul, like a puppet, his emotions being manipulated, and he has fallen from a righteous prince to a dark death knight.

It would take some time for Arthas to return to Lordaeron. Garen first returned to Eldre'Thalas and selected 10,000 druids, 10,000 archers, and 10,000 huntresses from the 100,000 base units. He then handed them over to the command of Valstann and ordered the son of Staghelm to wipe out several centaur tribes in Desolace within three months.

In order to prevent a certain stunningly beautiful Earth Princess in Maraudon from intervening in the war, he specially built an Altar of the Kings in a hidden mountain in Desolace, increasing the range of activities of the Boar God's spirits and providing timely support to Vastan.

After arranging the training in Valstann, Garen remotely notified Gandalf and Aegwynn stationed at the Crusader Fortress on the Golden Plains to prepare the army, and also notified the Tauren on Thunder Bluff in advance to prepare for war.

Finally, Garen arrived at Highmountain in the Broken Isles.

Thunder Totem is the city that Garin watched being built step by step. It is located in the center of High Ridge.

At that time, Huon adopted Galin's suggestion and built the city into a huge totem pole that pierced the sky.

Thunder Totem overlooks a vast, awe-inspiring landscape of Highmountain, and many parts of the city extend beyond the totem, with tents pitched on cliff faces and flat-topped slopes connected to the city center by wooden bridges.

Garin descended from the sky in the form of a green dragon, causing tension among the Thunder Totem defenders. Soon Garin transformed into the form of a night elf on his way down.

This act of clarifying that there was no hostility was noticed by Black Horn, the soul walker in the Gaoling tribe, who immediately released the city guards' alert.

"Ahaha, Ibyssian, it's been ten thousand years, is this how you, the High Ridge Tauren tribe, welcome an old friend?"

Garin laughed at the Soul Walker in mid-air.

Heijiao's face changed!

The name "Ibyssian" was no longer used after he passed the dragon whelp stage and became a young dragon and learned the art of transformation!
