HP Princess bravely enters Hogwarts

Chapter 12: Cygnus' Game

"Draco, are you really going?" Segnus leaned on the sofa, gently stroking Draco's hair while flipping through the thick "Dictionary of Magic Runes".

Draco lay lazily on her legs, his eyes narrowed comfortably. "How is that possible? I'm not a fool. If you are caught wandering at night, you will lose points. Let them wait in the trophy display room."

Blaise listened from the side, with a glimmer of appreciation in his eyes: "Draco, this is a cunning trick. You let them return empty-handed, while you are here enjoying yourself."

Draco raised the corners of his mouth slightly, with a hint of pride in his smile: "Excitement, isn't this the purpose of my night tour this time?"

"You guys chat here, I'm going to go out for some fresh air." Segnus made an excuse, stood up and walked out of the common room.

She needed some time to sort out her thoughts. For the greater goal, she had to plan more carefully step by step.

Segnus moved lightly through the dim corridors. She knew that Peeves loved to hang out in these spooky places.

Sure enough, within a few minutes, she saw the floating ghost.

Like a cunning fox, Cygnus approached Peeves silently and said in a low voice, "Hey, Peeves, I have a little news. Harry Potter and his friends are going on a night tour tonight. I bet you can give them a surprise if you block the road to the trophy room."

When Peeves heard this, his empty eye sockets sparkled with excitement.

"Oh, is it so?"

He was completely absorbed by Cygnus's plan.

She blinked and continued to add:

"If you can lead them to the forbidden area on the fourth floor, just think what a great prank it would be!"

Peeves chuckled, completely convinced.

At this moment, Harry and Ron were about to step out of the door, but Hermione rushed over in a hurry, her eyes leaping with anger, and said anxiously:

"Are you two crazy? If we are caught wandering at night, we Gryffindor will be deducted points!"

She was about to turn around and leave, but suddenly she was stunned. The fat lady in the portrait disappeared.

Hermione panicked and looked around, but finally joined the night patrol team reluctantly.

The three of them quietly came to the trophy display room, but found it empty.

At this moment, Filch's voice came from outside the door, and they immediately realized that it was probably Draco Malfoy who told the secret.

At this critical moment, Filch's footsteps were getting closer and closer.

"Swoosh--" In the chaotic corridor on the fourth floor, three figures shuttled back and forth quickly, their hearts beating wildly.

They thought victory was in sight and they had escaped danger, but suddenly they came face to face with Peeves around the corner!

"First-year students are on a night out! First-year students are on a night out!" Peeves' shrill cry echoed in the corridor.

"Run!"

Hermione shouted nervously, waving her wand at a seemingly ordinary door and quickly chanting the unlocking spell, "Aladonghokai!"

As the door creaked open, they hurried into the room.

But instead of bringing safety, this almost made their hearts stop.

Because a huge three-headed dog was staring at them viciously with its greedy eyes.

"Back off!" Hermione ordered in a low voice, and the three of them retreated slowly and cautiously.

His eyes were fixed on the three-headed dog's every move, but his mind was calculating rapidly.

"It's now!"

She suddenly shouted, and together with her companions, she slammed the door open, ran out, and locked the three-headed dog in the room.

In the corner, Cygnus lurked in the darkness like a shadow cat.

Her eyes were like a cheetah stalking its prey, closely following the hurriedly departing figure.

"Ha, now it's going to be interesting." He smiled, a smile that concealed a dagger and a hint of playfulness.

"This game is getting more and more interesting."

She talked to herself, her voice low but full of excitement.

The sunlight shone through the stained glass windows of Hogwarts, painting the next morning with colorful colors.

Draco Malfoy's eyes widened, and he could hardly believe his eyes - Harry Potter was still staying in the school so brazenly. After all, he was a serious violator of school rules!

At this moment, six owls flapped their wings and landed accurately in front of the surprised Harry, with a long package tightly grasped in their claws.

Along with the package came a thick letter.

Harry's eyes widened, he picked up the letter, opened it and saw that it was the latest model of Quidditch Nimbus 2,000 broom! His heartbeat accelerated, he suppressed his excitement and quickly handed the letter to Ron Weasley.

"Look at this, Ron!"

Harry lowered his voice, his eyes sparkling.

Ron took it, and they smiled at each other, silently thanking Professor McGonagall for her generosity.

They carefully hid the package and decided to wait until night fell and when people were quiet before secretly taking the precious broom back to the dormitory.

However, just as they turned around and prepared to leave quietly - "Hey, look who is this?"

A sarcastic voice suddenly sounded, and Draco appeared in front of them with his arms folded across his chest and a smug look on his face.

The sharp-eyed Draco caught sight of the packages in Harry and the others' hands, and snatched them away like a cat that smelled blood.

When he opened it, his face changed drastically, as ugly as if he had eaten a toad.

"This is Nimbus 2000?! Don't you two know that freshmen are not allowed to bring brooms to school?"

His eyes were wide open, as if Harry and Ron had broken some divine law.

Harry and Ron were confused and were about to explain when Professor Flitwick happened to walk by.

Draco rolled his eyes and complained: "Professor, look, they bring brooms to school!"

Professor Flitwick slowly stopped and looked at Draco with a sidelong glance, a barely perceptible smile on his lips:

"Oh, Malfoy, you may not know that Harry is already Gryffindor's Seeker. This broom was specially allowed by Professor McGonagall."

Draco was stunned for a moment, the expression on his face was like a color palette, changing red and white, it was so embarrassing.

Harry and Ron secretly rejoiced and were grateful for Professor McGonagall's generosity.

Professor Flitwick looked at Harry and said earnestly:

"Harry, you must make good use of this broom and bring honor to Gryffindor. It is the best broom in the school. I believe it will help you."

Harry nodded heavily, already looking forward to the upcoming Quidditch match.

Draco rolled his eyes and turned away unwillingly.

As night fell, Harry and Ron quietly took the Nimbus Two Thousand back to the dormitory.

When they put their brooms in the dormitory, Hermione Granger's mouth opened in surprise: "You really got the Nimbus Two Thousand? That's great!"

The three of them sat together, excitedly discussing the upcoming Quidditch match.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Draco's face looked darker than the sky before a storm.

He never expected that things would actually turn out as Sensenas predicted - Harry Potter, that guy, actually became Gryffindor's Seeker!

His face was ashen, and his heart seemed to be blocked by something. An indescribable feeling of unwillingness was churning in his chest.

He scratched his head but couldn't figure out: Why does Harry Potter always get the favor of good luck?

In his opinion, Potter, the boy from an ordinary family, unexpectedly became the seeker of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, which made Draco, who was born in the prominent Malfoy family, feel uncomfortable.

That night, Draco sat alone in the Slytherin dormitory, and even the smell of dinner failed to arouse his appetite.

Segnus pushed the door open and saw Draco's lonely figure. The corners of her mouth rose slightly. She walked to his side and comforted him softly:

"Hey, Draco, this is just a small matter. You are very good in many ways. Don't be discouraged by such a small thing."

Draco looked up, his helpless eyes exposed in front of Cygnus: "But, sister, what about Potter..."

"Harry Potter," Cygnus interrupted him, "he is certainly quite capable, but don't forget that he is not invincible."

She paused, her eyes fixed firmly on Draco.

"You are equally outstanding, Draco. As the young master of the Malfoy family, your talent and strength are unquestionable. Wait until next year's Quidditch match, and you will have a great opportunity to teach him a lesson."

Hearing this, Draco's eyes slowly lit up, like a ignited flame.

He knew that Cygnus was right. How could a temporary failure make Draco Malfoy unable to recover?

"I want to prove with my strength that I, Draco Malfoy, am the best Seeker in Hogwarts!"
