HP Princess bravely enters Hogwarts

Chapter 40: At Flourish and Blotts

As they were chatting and laughing, they passed by a second-hand shop. Segnus glanced at it inadvertently and found that a son of the Weasley family was reading a book called "How Prefects Gain Power".

She recognized that it was Percy Weasley, and the corners of her mouth couldn't help but rise slightly

He seems to be interested in power.

"Look there," Cygnus whispered, "ambitious little fellow, eh?"

Hermione followed her gaze and immediately understood what she meant.

She nodded slightly.

"Indeed. But are you going to act now?"

Cygnus shook her head, “Now is not the time.

But people like him will become our helpers sooner or later. I must remember this name well. "

There was a shrewd glint in her eyes, like a hunter spotting potential prey.

Segnus has this kind of talent. She can always see into people's hearts, especially those who have the same ambitions as her.

"Let's go," Cygnus said softly, walking at a leisurely pace alongside Hermione along the busy street.

Her eyes were as calm as water, as if everything that had just happened was just an illusion.

"We have to come up with a perfect plan," she said to herself, but her eyes seemed to penetrate the front and fall on some unknown future.

"When dealing with people like this, you can't be impatient. You have to do it step by step, like a spider weaving a web."

Hermione smiled, a smile full of trust, and her support was as solid as a rock, no matter how bold and risky Cygnus's plan was.

"You'll always find a way, Sensei." Hermione's words were full of admiration. "I believe in you."

The corners of Segnus' mouth rose slightly, but her eyes were fixed on the shabby shop in the distance, as if the secret in her heart was hidden there.

Her brain, like a sophisticated instrument, had begun to plan quietly. Every strategy and every possibility was being rehearsed in her mind.

"Power," Cygnus murmured in a low voice, her eyes still fixed on the junk shop, as if there was a secret in her heart, "is a tempting game. But only those who know how to play it can truly master it."

Hermione felt the warmth of Cygnus's palm and held it tightly, as if she could grasp the tail of power in this way.

Their eyes met and Hermione gave her a knowing smile.

After passing the junk shop, Cygnus and Hermione arrived at Flourish and Blotts bookstore. The front of the store was bustling with people.

Gilderoy Lockhart sat at the other end of the table, surrounded by large color photographs of himself.

In every photo, he struck a different pose, blinking at the crowd, flashing his eyes and showing off his shiny white teeth.

This scene is as funny as it can be.

Cygnus glanced at it and couldn't help but feel amused.

Cygnus said as she poked a finger in Lockhart's direction and turned to Hermione and raised an eyebrow, "What do you think of that guy?"

Hermione rolled her eyes exaggeratedly, curling her lips with a hint of disdain: "Oh, that? It's just a fancy thing."

Cygnus raised her lips; Hermione's outspokenness always put her in a good mood.

Lockhart was wearing a robe as blue as a forget-me-not, which surprisingly matched his blue eyes.

He looked positively smug, with his pointed wizard hat perched cheekily on an inch of shining blond hair.

"Hey, Hermione," Cygnus whispered softly, with a sly glint in her eyes, "Don't underestimate guys like Lockhart. They may not look like much on the surface, but they can be useful at critical moments. We have to learn to tap the potential of the people around us, what do you think?"

Hermione smiled and nodded. She had long seen through Sensei's intelligence and knew that she was always planning something in her mind.

Segnus' eyes were burning, as if she had seen the blueprint for the future.

A smile appeared on her lips, and she reached out to hold Hermione's arm, and they walked into the book-filled shop together.

"I have to find a chance to get close to Percy Weasley," Cygnus said as he walked, with a hint of ambition in his tone.

"This guy is much more valuable to me than Lockhart."

Hermione followed Sensei closely as they moved through the narrow aisles of the bookstore, her eyes fixed on Sensei's figure, admiration and trust flashing in them.

Segnus, this girl is not only smart, but also thoughtful and has an ambition that cannot be concealed.

She always seems to be able to see through people's hearts and cleverly use all the resources around her for her own benefit.

The bookstore was filled with the smell of paper and ink. After they walked around, a gleam of light suddenly appeared in Segnus' eyes.

She raised the corners of her mouth, leaned close to Hermione's ear, and whispered: "I just had a flash of inspiration and thought of a brilliant idea." She smiled slyly and continued,

"But this matter can only be accomplished with you and me. How about it, are you willing to take the risk with me?"

Hermione smiled softly, already accustomed to Cygnus's fearless spirit of adventure.

"Go ahead, I'm here listening," she said.

Sensei's eyes flashed cunningly, and she leaned forward, almost close to Hermione's ear, and whispered in a whisper that only the two of them could hear.

"How about this? We hold a lecture in the academy on the theme of power and leadership. We invite Percy to give the lecture. You know, we want him to have a chance to show off his intelligence and let him feel our support. How about that?"

Hermione's eyes moved, and a sly smile appeared on the corner of her mouth: "This is an interesting idea. We really need to plan this lecture carefully. However, you have to find a way to get close to him and test his tone to see if he is interested in this."

Segnus raised his head confidently, a shrewd look in his eyes: "Don't worry, leave it to me. I have my own way."

Harry stood out in the crowd, and at this moment, Gilderoy Lockhart caught sight of him.

His eyes suddenly lit up, like stars suddenly shining in the night sky.

He couldn't wait to wave at Harry, with the corners of his mouth raised and a smug smile on his face.

"Harry, come here, my boy!" Lockhart's voice was full of enthusiasm, and his hands made exaggerated circles in the air, motioning Harry to come over.

The people around him were attracted by his actions and cast curious glances at him.

Harry Potter stood uncomfortably between the rows of bookshelves, an awkward yet polite smile on his face.

At this moment, Sensei and Hermione were discussing their secret plan enthusiastically. The wooden door of the bookstore was pushed open and Draco walked in.

His eyes quickly locked onto Harry, and an indescribable complex of emotions crossed his face.

"Hey, Harry," Draco greeted casually, with a hint of cynicism in his tone, "We meet again."

Harry opened his mouth and was about to speak, but was interrupted by Ron beside him anxiously, "Hey, Malfoy, why don't you find a snake hole to hide in? Don't hang around here."

Draco glanced sideways, raised one eyebrow, and the sneer at the corner of his mouth could not hide his sarcasm.

"Oh, Ron Weasley, is your father's meager salary enough for your family to live on? Don't tell me he plans to tighten his belt just to buy you those crappy books."

Ron's face flushed instantly, and he was about to retort when Harry gently pulled his sleeve.

Harry knew there was no point in arguing like this.

At this time, Arthur Weasley walked in with heavy steps, followed by the naughty twins Fred and George.

His eyes quickly scanned the small battlefield, his brows furrowed, as if he was trying to understand the origin of this chaos.

"Ron, it's too... busy here." Arthur tried to break the deadlock with a relaxed tone.

"Let's go out and get some fresh air."

At that moment, with the grace of a cat and mouse, Lucius Malfoy was standing silently behind Draco, his hands pressing like a vise on Draco's shoulders.

He looked through the crowd, staring at Arthur provocatively, with a mocking smile on his face: "Oh, Weasley, did the Ministry of Magic give you overtime pay? You're working so hard, you're really diligent."

Then he slowly walked to Ginny's cauldron, reached out and picked up the worn-out Transfiguration Guide, his tone full of sarcasm:

"It seems that there is no such thing. Why do you work so hard for a job that doesn't pay? Is it just to become a loser in the wizarding world?"

Lucius was about to accuse Arthur of being too close to Muggles, but his eyes suddenly turned to Hermione, who was always with Seconas and was from a Muggle family.

He swallowed the words in his throat, leaned forward slightly, one hand unconsciously stroked the collar of his robe, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, revealing a meaningful smile.

Ginny's cauldron arced through the air and was thrown roughly towards her by Arthur Weasley.

Lucius reached out and caught it nimbly, a sly smile on his face.

The two people's eyes collided in the air, and it seemed that one could hear the crackling sound of lightning.

"Oh, Weasley, is this your little provocation to me?" Lucius said jokingly, with a hint of pride in his eyes.

Arthur clenched his fists and bravely met Lucius' gaze: "Malfoy, your arrogant and rude tricks should have been stopped long ago!"

As soon as the words came out, the two of them were like lit firecrackers, fighting each other with bare hands in an instant.

The people around dodged in panic, the order in the bookstore collapsed instantly, and the pages of the book flew in chaos.

"Dad, teach that guy a lesson!" Fred and George fanned the flames, their faces lit with excitement.

Their shouts sounded particularly sharp in the messy bookstore.

Arthur Weasley and Lucius' fists intertwined, like two fierce whirlwinds.

The people around hurriedly retreated, and some even nervously took out their wands, ready to join the battle at any time.

Just as the two were about to cast the spell, Hagrid's huge figure suddenly appeared at the door.

He walked into the bookstore quickly with heavy steps, like a moving hill, and pulled the two apart. "Enough! Stop it!"

His voice was like summer thunder, booming in the bookstore.

Hagrid stood in the middle, his eyes sweeping over everyone present, with an unquestionable determination on his face.

"Listen, this is a place to turn pages, not a place to swing fists. Both of you, shut up!" Hagrid's voice was like rolling spring thunder.

Arthur and Lucius looked at each other and reluctantly loosened their clenched fists.

The crowd around seemed to be intimidated by Hagrid's majesty and gradually calmed down.

Lucius snorted coldly and threw Ginny's book back into the cauldron with a hint of disdain in his action.

He dragged Draco along, turned around, and strode towards the door.

"Segnas, go home early when it gets dark, and don't let your mother and me worry." He said this and disappeared behind the curtain of the bookstore with Draco.

Cygnus, she looked at her father's back and sighed softly in her heart.
