The Favored Concubine: The Doting Prince

There was another period of lingering drizzle last night. Today the sky cleared up and everything was washed clean. The bamboo leaves were illuminated by the sunlight with a full green color.

A playful figure walked leisurely on the winding forest path, wearing a goose yellow jacket and a white pleated skirt, like a small light spot in this deserted scenery.

Cui Tao had just finished taking care of Fan Yue's washing and breakfast early in the morning. Now Fan Yue wanted to read the book that the prince had found for her, so Cui Tao came to the kitchen to get the small cakes and milk tea that Fan Yue would have in the morning, and also came to greet Juan Niang.

As she was walking, she saw a figure walking out of the woods in front of her. Cui Tao's heart tightened when she saw the person's face, but when she looked at the plain robe the person was wearing, she slowly relaxed.

It turned out to be Yuxiao. Although according to the young lady, Yuxiao and Yuliao were in the same group as them, Cuitao was still a little afraid of Yuliao, her accomplice. This seemingly good-tempered brother was better.

"Miss Cuitao." Yuxiao nodded slightly and stood in front of Cuitao.

Yu Liao just came out of the small courtyard and saw the two people on the small road. He dodged and hid in the bamboo forest, staring at the two people with a look of anticipation. Could it be that Yu Xiao fell in love with that peach next to the Crown Princess? It shouldn't be, Yu Liao wondered as he watched.

"I want to ask Miss Cuitao if you know where Xing'er is. I want to find her for something in the flower garden," Yuxiao asked softly.

"Oh, you're asking Xing'er." Cuitao originally thought that she was a little bit unruly and casual, so Yuxiao came over to point her out in private. Now that she knew the purpose of Yuxiao's visit, she instantly relaxed.

"That little guy should be in the young lady's room now, no, in the Crown Princess' room. When I came out, the Crown Princess went to the study, and Little Star stayed in the room eating honey." Cui Tao smiled with squinted eyes when she thought of the greedy Little Star.

"Okay, thank you Miss Crisp Peach."

Looking at Yuxiao's back, Cuitao let out a sigh. Tsk, these two brothers are so good-looking that they make people feel a little uncomfortable.

"That's Xing'er, Yuheng." Yu Liao added with a frown.

"Heh~Yuheng..." Yuxiao glanced at Yu Liao's expression, and there was a hint of anxiety in those beautiful eyes.

"Several of the master's flowers have withered. Let's go find that flower demon."

"Bullshit, I'm the one who looks after the master's flowers, how come I didn't know that several of them withered?"

"Did the master not allow you to tell me?" Thinking that the prince might have secretly assigned some task to Yuxiao without his knowledge, Yu Liao lowered his eyes and turned his face to the side, looking a little aggrieved.

"My Lord's intention is to first ask the Flower Fairy whether it was the Crown Princess who asked her to do this, in order to prepare a surprise or something, but if it wasn't her who did this, then..."

Yuxiao didn't say anything but looked at Yu Liao.

“Don’t alarm the Crown Princess until the matter is clear. I don’t like to cause trouble for her.” Yuxiao looked at Yu Liao with an expression as if he was giving her an assignment.

Yu Luo nodded with satisfaction, raised the corner of his mouth, accepted the task, and soon disappeared at the end of the path.

As soon as Yu Luo pushed open Gu Fanyue's door, he frowned tightly with a look of disgust. The room was too bright and too fragrant. There were gauze curtains swaying in the wind everywhere, a few wisps of white smoke swirling up from the incense burner, and the occasional "ding-dong" sound, casual and scattered.

The corner table was piled with all kinds of strange things, some of which were collected by the Crown Prince from all over the place, and some of which were made by the Crown Princess.
