Naruto: We are invincible

After the Daimyo was dealt with, the Water Kingdom found a more suitable leader and everything began to calm down.

The new Daimyo works hard to forge new trade deals with other nations in an attempt to save the Hidden Mist Village from years of darkness.

The Hidden Mist Village was full of life. Naruto's attack had caused little damage, and the buildings only needed simple repairs.

There was a relaxed and happy atmosphere in the village. In the past, people lived under oppression and feared their cruel rulers, but now, their faces were full of smiles and laughter.

It was a rare sunny day, perhaps because Naruto used a modified version of the Lightning Release Ninjutsu, which drew energy directly from the atmosphere. Naruto and his girlfriend walked hand in hand in the village. He had taken off his armor and changed into casual clothes.

Naruto was wearing a pair of black trousers and a dark blue shirt, with a red windbreaker on top, the hem of which had a black flame pattern embroidered on it.

On the back of his trench coat, the crest of the Senju clan was proudly displayed.

He glanced at Hinata beside him and couldn't help but be surprised at her choice of clothing.

She was wearing a dark blue dress that highlighted her beautiful figure, and her long dark blue hair fluttered gently in the breeze.

They were walking towards the Mizukage building where a small party was being held to celebrate the end of the war and Mei Terumi's inauguration as the fifth Mizukage.

The new Mizukage candidate was quickly decided upon and was approved with an overwhelming majority.

At least 95% of the villagers of Kirigakure support Mei Terumi to become the new Mizukage.

Naruto and Hinata smiled and responded to the greetings from the villagers along the way. Naruto and his companions had become famous during their stay in the Hidden Mist Village.

They are known as the "Eight Heroes of the Hidden Mist Village".

Mei Terumi also tried to uncover the secrets behind their masks, but failed every time.

But at least she knew the identities of Naruto and Hinata.

Mei Terumi awarded Naruto and his companions the title of honorary villagers of the Hidden Mist Village and said that they were welcome to visit at any time.

When the two arrived at the Mizukage Building, they saw a long red carpet on the ground. The other companions had already arrived, and it felt a little strange to see them wearing masks, but it was necessary to protect their identities.

"You came just in time." Terumi Mei said with her hands on her hips. After all, Naruto and his friends were the guests of honor at this small banquet.

"Sorry." Naruto said, scratching his head embarrassedly, "Hinata and I took a little long to prepare." He explained to Mei Terumi.

Mei Terumi narrowed her eyes and asked with a smile:

"You don't want to attend the party in combat uniform, do you?" Naruto asked, "Of course not." Mei Terumi smiled and led them into the building.

They enjoyed dinner amidst laughter and chatter and had a pleasant afternoon.

As night fell, a bright moon hung high in the night sky. It was a cloudless night. Naruto stood on the roof of the Mizukage Building and could clearly see the beautiful starry sky.

He sighed, looking at the starry sky, twirling a kunai in his hand.

"So you're here." A familiar voice came, Naruto turned around and saw Hinata walking towards him. "Why are you hiding here alone?" Hinata asked, she stopped beside Naruto and looked up at the starry sky.

"Nothing." Naruto lied. He sighed and cast his eyes to the sky again. "I just wanted to be alone." Naruto explained, but it didn't fool Hinata.

"We have known each other and lived together for nearly ten years. Do you think you can still hide anything from me?" Hinata asked back, with a hint of teasing in her tone, which made Naruto couldn't help laughing.

"Okay, I admit it," Naruto said as he gathered his thoughts, "I just... I don't know... I feel guilty for killing so many people."

He sighed and continued:

"They are innocent, even Yagura. This is all Afei's fault. He used Isobuki to control Yagura." Naruto explained.

Hinata's eyes widened in surprise, she didn't know this before, Naruto had never mentioned to anyone that Yagura was controlled.

"When I saw you...lying on the floor there, I don't know...I felt like something inside of me broke," Naruto said, a hint of pain in his voice.

Hinata listened quietly, holding his hand tightly.

"I know that even if you died, I could still revive you, but when I saw you lying lifeless on the ground like that, I... I felt extremely angry. I lost my mind and rushed into the village recklessly and killed Yagura." Naruto explained, his tone full of self-blame.

"You released the Nine-Tails' chakra on them, right?" Hinata asked softly. Naruto nodded.

"You know me too well." Naruto smiled bitterly, "I think Itachi is right."

Hinata had a puzzled look on her face.

Seeing this, Naruto explained:

"I have known Itachi for a long time. I have the Sharingan, so I often watch the Uchiha clan's training to learn how to use my eyes. Once, I heard him say to his brother Sasuke: 'Becoming strong is not as good as you think. When you become strong to a certain extent, you will become arrogant and lonely. Even if you realize your dream, you can't escape this fate.'"

"He's right, I got too obsessed with my own power and I started comparing myself to God. Maybe I haven't become arrogant yet, but it's only a matter of time." Naruto said worriedly.

"That's why I know Naruto-kun isn't a god," Hinata replied and Naruto looked at her curiously, waiting for her explanation.

"The gods don't feel regret or guilt because to them, we are nothing but ants. We are their creations and they believe they have the power over us to manipulate us at will or even discard us like garbage," Hinata explained and Naruto listened intently.

"Feelings are what make us human, and the fact that you feel guilty about what you did is proof of your kindness," Hinata said softly.

"Maybe." Naruto replied, "I just... I don't know... I have absolute power over life and death. Life seems meaningless to me. However, every time I take a life, I feel guilty. Don't you find it strange?" Naruto asked, "I can give or take life at will. However, every time I take a life, I feel empty."

"This is the fate of ninjas," Hinata said. "No matter how we deceive ourselves, we are weapons. We train and kill to protect the people we love so that they can live in peace. We kill so that the people of Konoha can live happily." Hinata said.

Naruto looked at her. Hinata was really no longer the shy girl she used to be. She drew strength from Naruto, and now, she had her own strength.

"Everything you do is for the good of the Hidden Mist Village, to end this war as soon as possible, and to avoid more bloodshed and sacrifice. This is the responsibility of a ninja and the fate we must bear." Hinata said, looking at Naruto affectionately, gazing into his blue eyes.

"You don't need to feel empty or lonely... because you still have me." Hinata said, pulling Naruto over and kissing him gently on the lips. The bright moonlight fell on them, as if covering them with a layer of silver veil.

Naruto forgot all his troubles, his mind was only on his lover.

He wrapped his arms tightly around Hinata's waist, pulling her close, feeling the happiness and love. Hinata also wrapped her arms around Naruto's neck, and the two hugged each other tightly, immersed in a world that belonged only to each other, not noticing that Aoki and the others were standing not far away, witnessing all this.

"Yo yo yo yo yo!" Akagawa (Kushina) and Genryuu (Mito) suddenly started to cheer loudly, cheering for the couple who were kissing in the moonlight.

Naruto and Hinata quickly separated after hearing the sound.
