Although the pressure tonnage of this 1.5-ton hot die forging press is larger than the 1.5-ton free forging hydraulic press being developed by the Jiangnan Shipyard in Magic City, in fact, from the manufacturing difficulty point of view, the 1.2-ton hot die forging press is lower than the 1.5-ton free forging hydraulic press being manufactured in Magic City. Therefore, the Red Star Machinery Manufacturing Plant was able to successfully manufacture the 1.2-ton free forging hydraulic press in Magic City first. This not only demonstrated their technical strength and innovation capabilities, but also injected new vitality into the industrial development of Rabbit Country.

The successful manufacture of this 1.5-ton hot die forging press is like a bright dawn, illuminating the road ahead for the Red Star Machinery Manufacturing Plant and clearing the way for them to manufacture higher-performance six-cylinder engines. Its appearance enables the Red Star Machinery Manufacturing Plant to manufacture more powerful and efficient six-cylinder engines. The six-turn crankshaft forged by this 1.5-ton hot die forging press can be assembled on a higher-horsepower six-cylinder engine, thereby improving the performance and reliability of the engine. From then on, the heavy-duty truck engines produced by the Red Star Machinery Manufacturing Plant will no longer have the problem of insufficient life due to the insufficient strength of the six-turn crankshaft. When designing the 1.5-ton hot die forging press of Hongxing Machinery Manufacturing Plant, the same cylinder design scheme as the 1.2-ton hydraulic press of Shanghai Jiangnan Shipyard was adopted. The main cylinder structure of the die forging press is to replace a large main cylinder with 6 sub-cylinders. This design not only allows the die forging press to generate several different pressures, but also reduces the difficulty of the manufacturing process. If a large main cylinder is used to generate tons of pressure, a large cylinder with a diameter of about 2.75 meters is required. For such a large cylinder, it is necessary to bear such a large pressure, which is not only very difficult in manufacturing technology, but also difficult to meet the requirements with the existing material strength in China. With six sub-cylinders, each sub-cylinder plunger only needs to generate 2500 tons of pressure. For such requirements, only a cylinder with a diameter of 1.13 meters is needed, which solves the difficulty of manufacturing the cylinder and reduces the requirements for material strength.
