With the successful completion of this arduous task, a magnificent, modern open-pit coal mine with advanced equipment was built and given a resounding and inspiring name: Hongqi Coal Mine. This coal mine is like a shining pearl, inlaid on the land of the motherland, shining brightly.

What is gratifying is that just the next month after its construction was completed, it demonstrated amazing production capacity, achieving an output of up to 100 million tons of coal in one fell swoop!

After that, a professional exploration team conducted a comprehensive, in-depth and detailed survey of the Hongqi Coal Mine. After a lot of hard work, they finally came to a remarkable conclusion: the entire coalfield covers an area of ​​more than 1 square kilometers!

Moreover, according to preliminary estimates, the coal reserves here are at least 1000 billion tons! Such a huge scale of coal reserves undoubtedly provides a strong guarantee for the country's energy supply. According to the current level of coal consumption in the country, these coal resources are enough to meet the country's needs for hundreds of years in the future. Its importance is self-evident.

Faced with the huge coal resources in Hongqi Coalfield, how to maximize their utilization has become a key issue facing relevant departments. To this end, after careful consideration, the Ministry of Coal Industry proposed a very constructive suggestion to the State Council: to upgrade the existing single-track railway between Jincheng and Xiyu Province to a double-track railway.

This will not only greatly improve the railway's transportation capacity, but also ensure that the large amount of high-quality coal produced by the Hongqi Coalfield can be smoothly and efficiently transported to those areas in the east that are in urgent need of coal, thereby better serving the country's economic construction and social development.

Then, in 1962, the last year of the second five-year plan, a large-scale project began: a comprehensive double-track reconstruction of the railway from Haizhou City in the east to Dihua City in the west! The double-track reconstruction of all lines was planned to be completed in 1972.

At the same time, the Hongqi Coalfield located in the vast land of Xiyu Province also achieved amazing results. In 1962, just the first year after its completion, it broke through the 2500 million tons of coal production mark in one fell swoop, becoming the first large-scale coalfield in the history of the Republic to achieve a monthly output of 200 million tons and an annual output of more than million tons.

In 1962, the total coal output in the country was 2.5 million tons, and the output of Hongqi Coalfield alone accounted for 10% of the country's total output. The rise of this coalfield is like a shining pearl, shining brightly in the energy field, and its role in stabilizing domestic coal supply is extremely important.

However, it is not easy to transport such a huge amount of coal to the eastern coastal provinces. To this end, the railway department carefully planned and deployed a large number of steam locomotives for transportation. These steel behemoths shuttled between Dihua City and Haizhou day and night, running tirelessly, like a never-ending wheel of time.

Despite this, since the railway was still in single-line operation at the time, its transportation capacity was greatly limited, and the annual output of the Hongqi coalfield was difficult to increase further and could only be maintained at around 2500 million tons.

Although the coal production in 1960 was produced during the Great Leap Forward and part of it was wasted, such a huge drop in coal production has begun to affect the operation of the national economy.

Faced with such a severe situation, in order to fill the huge gap caused by the sharp decline in coal production in other regions, the railway department acted decisively and took prompt action to speed up the construction progress of the double-track railway improvement project between Ludu and Dihua City.

They knew very well that only in this way could they ensure that after the Hongqi Coalfield expanded its production capacity, it could smoothly transport the continuously produced coal to the eastern region which was in urgent need of energy supply.

Hard work pays off. With the successful completion of the railway line reconstruction project, Hongqi Coalfield has ushered in new development opportunities. Since 1963, its output has soared like a wild horse, successfully breaking through the 3000 million tons mark.

In 1965, the double-track railway reconstruction from Lvdu to Dihua City was completed, which undoubtedly gave a boost to the output growth of Hongqi Coalfield. From then on, Hongqi Coalfield was like an eagle spreading its wings, completely breaking free from all constraints, and its output continued to rise.

In that year, its coal production soared to an astonishing 6000 million tons! Thanks to the strong production capacity of the Hongqi Coalfield, the total coal production in China once again exceeded the important milestone of 1965 million tons in 3, providing a solid and reliable energy guarantee for the country's industrial production and economic construction.

The natural disasters that were originally scheduled to end in 1962 ended ahead of schedule in 1961, giving the Rabbit Country sufficient strength to continue the Second Five-Year Plan. At the same time, due to the completion of the Hongqi Coalfield, the Second Five-Year Plan was successfully completed, avoiding the original national economic adjustment period from 1963 to 1965 in history, and allowing the Third Five-Year Plan to be carried out ahead of schedule.

At the same time, because He Yuzhu led the technical staff of the Red Star Machinery Manufacturing Plant to develop diesel heating stoves and export them in large quantities to the Russian Bear, the Rabbit Country had sufficient capacity to repay the debt owed to the Russian Bear.

In particular, He Yuzhu led the Red Star Steel Plant to achieve a series of achievements in steel and put off-road vehicles into production, which enabled the Rabbit Country to reduce the materials that originally needed to be imported from the Russian Bear and reduce the scale of foreign debt owed to the Russian Bear.

Therefore, after the relationship with the Russian Bear deteriorated in 1960, the Rabbit Country quickly repaid the 2.06 million rubles of foreign debt owed to the Russian Bear. After entering 1961, the development of the international communist movement changed, and the Russian Bear needed the support of the Rabbit Country. In order to ease the relationship with the Rabbit Country, the Russian Bear leader Su Suizong began to relax military aid to the Rabbit Country.
