Jiraiya's Heroic Stories: Genshin Impact

Chapter 19: Beast Realm Hound

I saw a pitch-black claw reaching out to grab Paimon. Looking at the size of the claw, Paimon's small body might not be able to block it, right?

Fortunately, Jiraiya was quick and pulled little Paimon behind him, thus narrowly avoiding this strange sneak attack.

What the hell? It's so close to me, but I didn't notice it at all?

Jiraiya looked at the pair of black claws sticking out of the carriage wall in amazement, and it was hard to understand how this was done. Even when facing the ninjas from the Hidden Mist Village who hid their aura to the extreme, Jiraiya had never been so embarrassed.

Suddenly, a ripple appeared in the space inside the carriage, and then a huge dog's head emerged from the ripple.

I saw a strange black creature. Although it should be a large black wolf from the head alone, it had no lower body. It was suspended in the air in a strange posture, and even its only two front paws were not connected to the body.

There are some golden stripes on the fur, which seems to be out of place in the world.

"What is this?" Jiraiya looked up and down at the strange thing in front of him. Although his origin was unknown, the aura it exuded made Jiraiya feel extremely disliked.

Paimon was too shocked to explain. But Kurumi seemed like a know-it-all. He frowned slightly and said, "The Beast Hound, a monster released by the legendary sinner. It is always corrupting and killing."

"The great sinner?" Jiraiya wanted to know more, but when he looked out the window, he feared that he did not have much time to ask in detail.

"Wolves in the Beast Realm rarely act alone. Most of the time they rush towards their targets in groups. Their attacks not only erode humans' bodies, but also torture their souls."

From the tone of her voice, it seemed that the torture of her soul was more serious than the damage to her body. Yes, she was Walnut after all.

"Phew! I'm scared to death! Teach it a lesson!" After little Paimeng recovered, he shouted angrily at the beast hound in front of him.

After all, Jiraiya's strength is obvious to all. It is no problem for him to deal with a small beast hound.

However, Jiraiya grabbed little Paimon and jumped out of the carriage without saying a word.

"Eh?"

"It's enough to leave a few people here. They should be able to deal with it. Now we have to find a way to deal with those outside and protect the people."

After Jiraiya jumped out of the window, he did not forget to tease: "Hey, little brother. Don't be so shy like a little girl! It's time to show your manliness!"

As Jiraiya spoke to Xingqiu, he looked around in the direction of the Beast Realm wolf pack. At this moment, there were actually nine Beast Realm hounds of all sizes.

For some unknown reason, although these beast hounds were standing in scattered positions, they were flying in the same direction, which was exactly opposite to the front of the convoy and the back of the convoy where Jiraiya was following.

Although the people along the way hid in the carriages in fear, these beast hounds seemed to have a clear purpose and did not attack anyone.

"Is this the direction of the woman from the treasure-stealing group?" Jiraiya looked at it puzzled. In order to ensure that the seriously injured woman could receive treatment as soon as possible, she was placed at the front.

But what was so special about this woman that attracted these creatures that didn't seem to have thoughts or intelligence? Even if these monsters were controlled by Chi or the Fatui, according to their behavior, they shouldn't pursue a woman who was clearly seen as a pawn.

Even if it was intelligence, a woman at the bottom of society like this shouldn't have the information that required such a big fuss.

In this case, Jiraiya would not act rashly, but would wait until they gathered together before attacking in unison.

As Jiraiya expected, after a while, these beast hounds slowly floated to the outside of the woman's carriage, as if they were about to launch an attack at the next moment.

Jiraiya didn't know how strong the Beast Realm Hound was, but based on the idea that mass-produced ones were rubbish and time was running out, Jiraiya didn't try to test it and casually rolled out a super-large Rasengan.

Jiraiya suspiciously threw down the huge Rasengan, and the already soft yellow soil was instantly smashed into a huge pit with a radius of more than three meters.

However, there was no feeling of the blow on his hand. Did he dodge it all?

Sure enough, they saw that there was nothing below, but there was some remnant of space fragments where they were originally located.

"Space-based ninjutsu? Is it so worthless?" Jiraiya complained, but he saw that the beast hounds had disappeared. Even after opening the barrier and the sky-covering magic circle, Jiraiya did not notice that there were any people around except the refugees from Qingce Villa.

So, could it be that these guys are not living things at all? They really don't look like living things.

"Phew! I've never seen a pack of Beast Realm wolves run away. When I was adventuring with the travelers in Inazuma, these guys were always wandering around aimlessly outside, and then suddenly, with a crackle, they appeared right in front of us. It always gave us a scare."

Paimon said this in a cute way, but Jiraiya probably didn't understand what the crackling sound was.

However, instead of trying to understand what "crackling" meant, Jiraiya always felt that there seemed to be a crucial point that he had not figured out.

"Wandering aimlessly... Paimon, do they never attack a target in an organized manner?"

When Jiraiya asked this, Paimon fell into a brief period of thought.

But Jiraiya didn't wait for Paimon to finish his thought, and took a look to ensure the safety of the woman in the carriage.

Jiraiya immediately rushed out at a quick pace, his speed almost escaping Paimon's eyes, much faster than his previous speed in front of the Hilichurl camp.

And when Jiraiya was on his way back, the beast hounds that had disappeared suddenly appeared again, which confirmed Jiraiya's guess.

If Jiraiya was not mistaken, their target from the very beginning was Kurumi!

Not long after Kurumi appeared in the carriage, the beast hound suddenly attacked. The other beast hounds flew past Jiraiya and flew to the other end of the convoy.

They are simply trying to lure the tiger away from the mountain!

At this moment, inside the carriage, the beast hound had been killed by Hu Tao and Xing Qiu, and was still emitting a strange black aura.

However, there was a third person in the carriage, with blonde hair and a white dress, just like the traveler Kong, holding a simple sword without a blade, pure and beautiful. (But her eyes didn't look very smart)

"Nice to meet you two, thank you for taking care of my brother."
