Apostate?

These people are actually apostates?

Everyone else was shouting loudly. No wonder they had to hold the meeting underground. It would be strange if the noise above ground didn't attract the Vatican.

Seeing that Phil Gray didn't shout, several people looked over at him.

Phil Gray shouted quickly, "Take control of your own destiny!"

He felt a little embarrassed in his heart that he, the Pope of the Church of Destiny, would one day shout slogans together with apostates.

Those people turned around.

After shouting for a while, the veiled woman raised her hand and signaled them to stop.

Everyone fell silent instantly.

The woman's voice was low and eloquent.

"I know that many of you are poor people abandoned by the God of Fate. We once believed in Him devoutly, but when we encountered hardships, He did not give His believers any protection at all."

"Instead, it plays with our fate!"

She pulled off her veil, revealing her face covered with scars from being burned.

"What god would rain down merciless fire on his followers while they are praying to him in the temple?"

"I thought it was a test from God, but when I returned home in agony, I discovered that my family had been arrested by the Vatican because of the bishop's false accusation. It was clear that the bishop coveted my family's money!"

"I begged the gods desperately, but they still played tricks on my fate!"

"It was not until the bodies of my family members were carried out and they accused us of disrespecting the gods that I realized that we were just toys of the god of fate!"

"He and his lackey the Church only take pleasure in our suffering to show how superior they are!"

"Our destiny should not be determined by others, we should control our own destiny!"

The woman burst into tears when she was excited.

Everyone bowed their heads, and from time to time a few people could be heard sobbing.

It seems that these apostates are people who have experienced major changes in their lives and no longer believe in the god of fate, as well as people who have been persecuted by the parasites in the church.

It's really like one bad apple spoils the whole barrel.

The bishop's personal actions directly tarnished the image of the entire Vatican, and even the gods had to take the blame.

The God of Fate should be renamed the God of Blame. Not only should he be blamed for the actions of the Holy See, but any bad things that happen to people can be blamed on the arrangements of the God of Fate.

Phil Gray sighed inwardly.

But he didn't want to stand up for the weak, because who asked Him to let him travel through time?

The woman wiped away her tears.

"It's useless to talk about these things. We are not cowards who only know how to complain, but warriors with strong wills! Only by overthrowing the Church can more people stop suffering from our pain and stop being deceived by that evil god of fate."

“You may have just joined us in the past few days and don’t know our habits. The time of our gatherings is uncertain, but as long as you see our signs on the street, it means we are going to gather.”

"What's the sign?" asked a man in front of Phil Gray, who seemed to be a newcomer as well.

“It’s a fist, crushing a flower of destiny.” the woman replied.

This logo is really intuitive and bold.

Phil Gray was helpless.

The woman coughed. "The purpose of today's meeting is mainly to explain two things. First, everyone must know that the Pope is missing. This is our chance. If we can find the Pope before they do and kill the leader of this lackey, our plan to overthrow the Vatican will be halfway successful."

Phil Gray swallowed.

The Pope you are looking for is right before you.

"Isn't the Pope in Noce?" someone asked.

The woman shook her head. "Not necessarily. Several cities under the Church of Destiny are looking for him, which shows that the Pope could be anywhere."

"Another thing is that we still have to continue to cause trouble for the Vatican, whether it's smashing their things or exposing their scandals on the streets, so that more people can know their true colors."

The woman smiled again. "You can also observe more people around you to see if there are people who have also been deceived by the God of Fate and tortured by the Church, and no longer trust the God of Fate. The more members we have, the better."

It smells like a pyramid scheme, Phil Gray thought.

"I have also prepared small gifts for everyone." The woman waved her slender fingers, and a pile of bottles and white round beads similar to pearls appeared out of thin air on the ground.

Could this woman be a person favored by God?

There were also sounds of exclamation around.

"This bottle contains face-changing mucus. You can temporarily change your face by applying it on it. However, your face will be very stiff and you won't be able to make any expression. It lasts for four hours each time. It's only for people to use when they want to cause trouble for the Church. The amount in the bottle can be used three times. It's very precious, so use it with caution."

The woman explained again.

"If you bite the white round balls with your teeth and throw them on the ground, they will emit thick smoke for everyone to use when escaping."

It turned out to be a smoke bomb, but he was very interested in the face-changing slime. As long as he applied it, he would feel more at ease when he went to the City Lord's Mansion.

"It's amazing!" Phil Gray saw Lisa looking at the things on the ground excitedly.

This lively girl doesn't look like she has been devastated by fate. Why did she join the apostates and be so bold as to drag him, the current Pope, into the group?

"Everyone, come and get one," said the woman.

When Phil Gray arrived, the woman's eyes were always on him, which made him feel a little nervous. Did this woman discover something?

Unexpectedly, the woman patted his shoulder and said meaningfully, "You have a pretty face, but you have to rely on your own efforts to protect yourself and avoid being played with by others!"

What is going on? Phil Gray's mouth twitched and he felt relieved.

I took my things and wanted to leave, "Yes, thank you for the reminder!"

Lisa excitedly stepped forward, "Chief, this is my new recruit!"

"Okay, okay, what's your name?"

"Kane," Phil Gray replied.

"That's good, Lisa, keep up the good work. If you introduce a few more people to join us, I will give you the qualifications to go to the headquarters. The headquarters will give you the opportunity to learn abilities like mine, and they will have everything you need." The woman encouraged.

"I will!" Lisa clenched her fists.

Could it be that the headquarters of the apostates is filled with people favored by God?

How can someone who betrays the God of Destiny become a favored one? Could it be that he is worshipping other gods?

Phil Gray was deeply curious.

However, he was not interested in exploring these things. He just looked at the face-changing slime in his hand with great interest. It was really a good thing. He thought that the Holy See should have more magical things like this.

It's just that I had no idea that there was such a side to the world before. I just looked at the Holy See as an ordinary person, so I couldn't get anything to protect myself, and finally relied on apostates.

Even he couldn't help but sigh that fate is really magical!
