I am the Pope in the Western Fantasy World

Chapter 67 Discovering the conspiracy

"What do we do?" Patrick asked.

"Catch up with them, can you swim?" asked Phil Gray.

"Will we be discovered? It's too noisy, isn't it?"

Eli took out two dark blue flowers from his hand, "After eating these flowers, you can breathe in the water temporarily. Let's follow them underwater."

"Only two?" asked Ernest.

"Yes."

Phil Gray took the flowers and said, "Eli and I will go. You stay here."

"Your Majesty, it's too dangerous..." Ernest stopped him in a deep voice.

"Yes, cousin, we're going, so you don't have to go."

"If you keep talking nonsense, they will go away." Phil Gray took the flower and jumped into the Lunsi River.

Eli jumped in too.

Patrick and Ernest looked at their figures in the water with some concern.

Phil Gray and Eli quietly dived underwater and followed George's boat.

The river water in winter was so icy cold that he couldn't help but shiver.

Fortunately, the boat didn't sail far before it stopped.

When they looked up, they saw a white passage on the calm surface of the Lunsi River.

George seemed to say a few words to the attendants, and they went straight into the passage.

"Let's go in too." After waiting for a while, Phil Gray jumped out of the water and said to Eli.

The passage looks like it is suspended on the water, but it feels solid when you step on it.

There is a road with no end in sight.

They walked along the road until they saw a black door.

The gate is heavy and simple, with some unknown patterns carved on it.

"Should we push our way in? Will we be discovered?" Eli mouthed.

"and many more."

Phil Gray noticed a small crack in the middle of the door, through which a little light shone.

He leaned over to look behind the door and found that there was no one inside.

I pushed the door open gently with my hand and there was no sound.

Only after they entered the gate did they hear George's voice. It turned out that there was a corridor behind the door, and George and his friends were at the innermost part.

Not daring to go any further, they squatted there quietly and listened to their conversation.

It was George who spoke, "Okay, just tell me when you can succeed?"

"It will take two more days. Please wait patiently." The voice was an extremely unfamiliar one, and it sounded like it belonged to an old man.

"Humph, how many women do you need?"

"We have to get at least a hundred, right?" This was another person, his voice was hoarse and sounded a bit harsh.

"I'll ask them to send some more tonight, and I'll give you two more days." George's voice sounded a little gritted teeth.

“Don’t worry. This nightmare monster, which feeds on the fear of tens of thousands of people and is bred by a female favored by God, will have pseudo-Shinto-level strength when it is born. By then, you can do whatever you want. Not to mention becoming a king, even conquering a church and becoming the Pope will be no problem.” The hoarse voice laughed.

What? Nightmare monster? Phil Gray looked at Eli, his face also solemn.

"Oh, attack a church? Do you think I'm a fool? There are so many true Shinto-level figures in the church. Just because they stay in seclusion doesn't mean they don't exist," George retorted.

"You don't know this. Since the followers of the Shinto and quasi-God level have transcended the limitations of mortals, they can go to the kingdom of the gods. Who can refuse to serve the gods? Therefore, there are really not many Shinto level people in the current Weir world. Don't worry."

"I'm not that greedy. I just want worldly power," George replied.

"Oh, then in two days it will be as you wish."

"That's good, Elder Jesse. You are an elder of the Church of the Dead. I trust your abilities. But recently people from the Cult of the Dawn have come over here, and I don't know if they have discovered what we are doing. Bishop Eugene of the Cult of the Dark Night has been getting in the way, so we can't delay any longer." George laughed and said soothingly.

When Eli heard the name Jesse, his face suddenly turned pale. Phil Gray was a little curious. Did Eli know him?

"Naturally, I will let more undead spirits enter my dreams tonight and collect more fear so that our baby can eat more." The hoarse voice also laughed, and he seemed to be Elder Jesse.

"Hahaha, then I will also increase my efforts to expand the scope of dreams to farther places. I hope the goddess of dreams will protect us and let Her offspring come to the world soon." Another voice said in fascination.

Phil Gray clenched his fists. He didn't expect that the dream and the girl's disappearance were both caused by him.

Eli gave him a look, "We should go."

The noise inside had stopped and George might come out at any moment.

They tiptoed, pushed open the door, jumped down the passage, and swam in the direction they came from.

Patrick and Ernest were still waiting.

The four of them quickly hid in the dark.

Sure enough, after a while, George's boat returned and docked at the shore.

George came down, his appearance was no longer gloomy, and he looked around the silent night with excitement.

He raised the corners of his lips, "Let's go to sleep and immerse ourselves in beautiful dreams..."

Back at the hotel, the atmosphere was somewhat depressing. They had never imagined that George had such a big conspiracy to cultivate a pseudo-Shinto-level nightmare monster!

"From what they said, we still have two days left and we must stop them," Phil Gray said in a deep voice.

“That Elder Jesse is a divine revelation who is about to enter the level of God’s descent. He is very famous in the Church of the Dead and is known as the Death Summoner. He has signed a contract with a lord of the Abyss of the Dead and can summon a large number of undead armies.” Eli’s eyes were filled with unfamiliar emotions, with a bit of disgust and nostalgia.

"Then the other follower of the God of Dreams must also be at the divine revelation level." Phil Gray frowned. They were indeed no match for the other party.

"What should we do then? Cousin, shouldn't your motto prevent him from successfully becoming king?" Patrick asked with a headache.

"We can't do it, but others can. I will write three letters to expose this matter. Eli, you send one to the Church of Life, Ernest, help me deliver one to the Church of Darkness, and my cousin, you can give the other one to the Son of the Dawn Cult. They should be very good at dealing with the undead." Phil Gray thought for a while and said.

"Okay." The other three nodded.

"Remember to try not to reveal our identities," Phil Gray warned again.

"I hope they can take this seriously and resolve this matter within two days. Otherwise, we will be helpless after the nightmare monster is born..."

After the silent sigh, there was the sound of writing on paper.
