【One Piece】Dawn in the Darkness

Ace and Luffy continued to explore the huge forest. He looked at the road ahead that was blocked by tall trees and continued to explore carefully. Ace looked around cautiously to prevent any danger. He also paid some attention to Luffy's situation at all times.

Luffy looked around curiously. The surrounding trees were very tall, with lush branches and leaves, which blocked out a lot of sunlight. The creatures in the forest could only find a little light from the gaps between the leaves. This little light made the inside of the forest not as dark as at night, and it was full of vitality. Luffy could hear the chirping of various animals and insects in the forest, which made his curiosity reach its peak. He couldn't wait to explore the forest as soon as possible. There must be many adventures waiting for him here.

Luffy looked at his brother who was holding his hand. He knew that Ace's desire to protect him had become stronger after what happened. Although he also wanted to express to Ace that he could protect himself and him, he knew that this was the way to make Ace feel at ease.

He also wanted to help Ace, but Ace was very strong and he never needed his help. Instead, his help would make him angry. Although he didn't know why, he didn't want to make him angry.

He really missed Lucci and Sabo, but he still had Ace, and he had promised that he would not die, and Luffy believed in him, so he would move forward, and he would become stronger and stronger, strong enough to protect every one of his friends.

"Luffy, there is a cliff ahead."

Luffy saw Ace standing still at the edge of a cliff.

Ace looked at the cliff that blocked their way and said, "We have to find a way to get over it."

"Ace, are we going to go around it?" Luffy looked at the cliff in front of him curiously.

"No, that's too far. It will be dark by the time we get in," Ace responded.

"Ah! I get it, hehe." Luffy looked at the trees opposite and suddenly came up with a good idea. He laughed excitedly.

"What?" Ace looked at Luffy in confusion, and found that Luffy was moving his right hand. Suddenly, Luffy stretched his right hand to the opposite side. Ace looked at him in surprise, and suddenly thought of something, with a look of horror on his face, "Luffy, you are not..."

"Ah!!" Before Ace could finish his words, Luffy's arms wrapped around his waist several times, and then the two of them flew towards the cliff in an instant.

"boom!!"

Ace was pulled by Luffy and crashed into a tree. Ace covered his head which was throbbing with pain and barely stood up. He turned around and saw Luffy bounced up from the ground as if nothing had happened.

"Nihihihi, Ace, this is fun, we're here!" Luffy said excitedly, not noticing Ace's raised fist behind him.

"boom!!!"

"Why, Ace?" Luffy covered his hit head and looked at Ace with a wronged look.

"Luffy, this is very dangerous! Don't do such dangerous things next time," Ace said angrily. Who taught Luffy to do such dangerous things? Ace cursed in his heart.

"But Ace, this is very convenient, we have already reached the other side" Luffy retorted, holding his head.

He really wanted to teach him a lesson. Was that what he was talking about? He was angry that Luffy did such a dangerous thing. "Don't do such dangerous things again, Luffy!" Ace waved his fist and signaled.

"Oh, okay." Luffy responded aggrievedly, but he still felt that his method was very good and convenient. He didn't know why Ace didn't like it. They all succeeded. Luffy puffed up his cheeks and thought unconvincedly.

"Where are we going next, Ace?" Luffy became excited again when he thought about his adventure with Ace.

"Let's go take a look ahead!" Ace decided.

"Great! Ace and Luffy's exploration team sets off!" Luffy shouted excitedly, walking forward excitedly, looking for interesting things.

Ace shook his head helplessly as he looked at Luffy's performance. They had to find a way out as soon as possible and settle down first. The stinky old man probably wouldn't show up to take them back. They had to rely on themselves to survive in this forest.

"Run, Luffy!" Ace shouted to Luffy while dodging the attack of the huge crocodile-like animal chasing them.

"Oh!!" Luffy ran forward with the fishing rod and bucket, a big smile on his face, as if he found it very interesting to be chased by strange animals.

Soon the two brothers took advantage of the complex terrain of the forest and successfully escaped the pursuit of strange animals. Ace and Luffy continued to explore the forest.

Ace looked at the red fruits on the tree. Although there were few of them, he decided to pick them. After a while, he heard Luffy's surprised voice coming from the front, "Ace, there is a hole with light in front!"

Ace heard Luffy's cry, quickly put away the fruits he picked, and ran towards Luffy.

"This should be the exit of the forest" Ace said as he saw Luffy already running towards the cave entrance, Ace quickly caught up with his brother.

"Don't run around by yourself, Luffy," Ace said viciously while holding Luffy's head.

"Uh!" Luffy glanced to the side and saw a waterfall and suddenly got excited "Ace! It's a waterfall!"

Ace followed Luffy's line of sight and saw a large waterfall hidden behind the dense bushes.

Although the waterfall was not high, the water flowing down from the cliff was very rapid. Ace pushed aside the blocking bushes and his vision suddenly became clear. He could see the water falling vertically from the cliff, forming a wide river in front and forming a huge basin-like puddle under the waterfall, with many huge fish swimming in it.

"I'm hungry, Ace!" Luffy stared at the fish in the water with his mouth drooling.

Ace looked at Luffy and shook his head helplessly, but it was time to prepare their dinner.

"Luffy, find some firewood nearby." Ace picked up the fishing rod that Luffy threw on the ground. "Don't run around. You can only find firewood nearby."

Ace took the prepared fishing rod and planned to go fishing for some fish. Although there were some fish in the bucket, considering their appetite, that was not enough for the two of them.

There were a lot of fish in the pond, and Ace had a full harvest after a while. Ace returned to the open space where they were preparing dinner, and saw that the space was full of firewood that Luffy had found, but Luffy was not nearby. Ace's heart tightened, his heart was pounding, and he felt panicked.

"Ace, come on!"

Ace heard Luffy's voice coming from the woods not far away, and his body relaxed instantly, and he ran quickly in the direction of Luffy's voice. He saw Luffy dragging a strange huge rabbit towards him.

"Luffy, where did you find the prey?" Ace asked puzzledly.

"Nihihihihi, this rabbit suddenly hit a tree and fainted." Luffy said with a bright smile.

Ace scratched his head. "Can such a stupid rabbit be eaten?" But this is food after all, Ace took the rabbit from Luffy.

"Listen to me next time, Luffy," Ace said, looking at Luffy.

"Okay," Luffy responded with a bright smile, "Ace, don't worry about me. I can protect myself and Ace."

Ace looked at Luffy who was smiling brightly and ruffled his hair with a smile, "I don't need the protection of my stupid brother. Just be at ease and let your brother protect you!"

"I also want to be Ace's brother!!" Luffy said with a pout.
