One Piece: Three Fruits, Starting with the Dark-Dark Fruit

Chapter 401: Garp Returns to the Village

Donghai, Windmill Village,

Inside the bar, Machino, with a big belly, was wiping the wine glass in her hand at the bar. Opposite her was Cap, who was wearing a floral shirt and shorts.

Garp didn't look like a naval commander at all. He crossed his legs, a pair of flip-flops dangling from his feet, and held a small wooden barrel of wine in his hand. He said,

"Machino, please fill my glass again."

Makino smiled and responded, but Cap glanced at Makino's big belly and said,

"Forget it, I'll do it myself."

As he said that, Karp stood up and walked into the bar, taking down a bottle of wine from the cupboard.

Makino had no intention of stopping him, he just said softly,

"Mr. Karp, you should drink less."

Karp waved his hand indifferently and said with a smile,

"What's wrong, Makino? Do you think I'm old?"

Makino looked at the gray hair and stubble on Cap's face, and the expression on his pretty face seemed to be saying "Isn't it?"

Cap was not annoyed. He shook his head helplessly, returned to his seat and filled his glass with wine.

But this time he was not in a hurry to drink. Instead, he stared at the wine barrel on the table, his eyes full of loneliness.

Now it is his vacation time, and as usual he returns to his hometown, Windmill Village.

The feeling of returning home this time was different for Cap. He only felt a deep sense of loneliness because he had no relatives.

His son Dragon is dead and his grandson Luffy is still missing.

Although he couldn't see his son and grandson when he came back before, he at least knew that they were safe.

Thinking of Dragon and Luffy, Garp sighed heavily and thought to himself that he should never come back. It would be better to stay in the headquarters and live out his retirement with Sengoku and the others.

Makino saw that Cap was in a bad mood, and she roughly guessed the reason. Not only her, but everyone in the entire Windmill Village knew about Cap, but no one would mention it.

Cap drank the wine in the barrel, looked up at Makino, and said,

"Machino, when your child is born, you must teach him well. Don't be like me. Both my son and grandson became criminals. Haha... I am such a complete failure in my life!"

When Makino heard this, a strange look appeared on her face. She raised her hand and gently stroked her belly. You know, the father of her child is the only big pirate left in the world.

According to the laws of the World Government, this child is already a criminal even before he is born...

Karp noticed that Makino looked strange, and couldn't help but ask,

"what happened to you?"

Makino smiled awkwardly and said,

"Nothing, I just suddenly thought that with the momentum of the navy in recent years, there will definitely be fewer and fewer people who want to go out to sea as pirates in the future."

Karp nodded and said,

"That's because he is the current Admiral of the Navy! Just wait and see, the so-called Age of Discovery will soon end in his hands, from the Pirate King to the Four Emperors... Hehe, I just don't know when he is going to destroy the Red Hair Pirates."

Hearing about the Red Hair Pirates, Makino's hand that was wiping the cup suddenly shook, and the cup fell to the ground and broke into pieces, scaring Garp who was sighing.

Karp quickly stood up and asked,

"Are you okay, Makino? Are you hurt by the debris?"

Makino quickly turned away to hide the panic on his face.

"I'm fine. Um, Mr. Garp, is the Navy really going to take action against the Red Hair Pirates? Will Marshal Tianlong go out in person again?"

Karp responded:

"Of course. He has never been absent from such an event. And Sakaski and the others. By then, it will probably be me and the old guys like Zhan Guo who will stay behind at the headquarters."

"This lineup sounds really reassuring. The Red Hair Pirates have no chance of winning at all..."

"Chance of winning? What chance of winning? The strength of both sides is totally different. I even think that Jiger alone can destroy the entire Red Hair Pirates. With his current strength, I am afraid that I can't last more than a few rounds in his hands. He is simply a monster!"

Garp was talking to himself, not noticing that Makino's face was getting paler.

Makino bit his lip and said,

"Is there no way out for Shanks?"

"Unless he disbands the pirate group and learns from Pluto Rayleigh to find an island to spend the rest of his life, otherwise he can only wait for death."

"But how is it possible for someone like Shanks to disband the pirate group?"

The more Karp listened, the more he felt something was wrong. He stared into Makino's eyes and said in a deep voice,

"Makino, do you have any relationship with Shanks?"

Makino lowered his head in silence and whispered,

"Yes, a little bit. He came to my bar before. He was very kind and didn't seem like a bad person."

Karp always felt that things were not that simple, but seeing Makino's embarrassment, he did not ask any more questions, but just said lightly,

"Compared to Whitebeard and the others, Red-haired Shanks is indeed the most gentle of the Four Emperors, but..."

Snapped!

Before Cap could finish his words, the door of the bar was flung open, and a villager from Windmill Village rushed in and shouted,

"Oh no, Mr. Garp! There's a fight at the entrance to the village!"

Karp frowned when he heard this, and stood up from his seat.

"Is there a fight? Where are the navy stationed there?"

The visitor took a few deep breaths and said in panic,

"I don't know who they are, but they look like monsters. The navy seems no match for them!"

Without saying anything more, Karp immediately left the bar and rushed in the direction the villagers pointed.

At the entrance of Windmill Village, the navy led by Bogart was confronting a group of cloaked people in front.

Just now, Bogart and several marines from headquarters encountered this group of strangely dressed people trying to enter the village. Out of his military intuition, Bogart stepped forward to check the identities of these people, but was rejected.

This made these people seem even more suspicious. Bogart wanted to forcibly check them, but the group suddenly attacked and many naval soldiers were knocked to the ground.

Then the battle broke out. What shocked Bogart was that this group of people was very powerful. Not to mention the navy stationed in Windmill Village, even those who came from the headquarters were completely defeated and suffered heavy losses in just one encounter.

A drop of cold sweat rolled down Bogart's forehead. He looked at the group of people in front of him and said in a deep voice,

"Who are you?"

The shorter man in the lead, with a slightly bulging cloak on the back, spoke slowly,

"Uncle Linde, go ahead and make a quick decision."
