Siheyuan: A journey of mountains and rivers

Chapter 327 Return to the 4th courtyard

He Yuzhu said no more and turned to leave the alley, with a clear plan in mind. He returned home and immediately called Lao Li to tell him the details of what happened. After listening, Lao Li said in a deep voice: "Yuzhu, we must use legal means to solve this problem. You first collect all the evidence, and then we will work together to find a solution."

He Yuzhu nodded, feeling relieved. He knew that Lao Li's advice was always very useful. What he needed to do next was to find more evidence to prove Liu Lan's forgery. He began to visit the neighbors in the courtyard and ask them if they knew about the relationship between Liang Ladi and Liu Lan. Soon, he collected some strong testimonies to prove that Liang Ladi had never borrowed money from Liu Lan.

A few days later, He Yuzhu met with Lao Li again and handed him the evidence he had collected. Lao Li looked through it carefully, nodded and said, "The evidence is strong enough, we can formally file a lawsuit."

He Yuzhu said gratefully: "Thank you, Lao Li, it's all thanks to you this time."

Old Li smiled and said, "You're welcome. We are old friends. This matter must be resolved so that Liu Lan knows that the law is not a joke."

He Yuzhu and Lao Li submitted the materials to the court and applied for an emergency hearing. A few days later, the court heard the case. During the trial, He Yuzhu and Lao Li provided sufficient evidence to prove that Liu Lan's loan note was forged. The judge ruled that Liu Lan lost the case and ordered him to compensate Liang Ladi for the losses.

After the trial, He Yuzhu felt relieved. Finally, Liu Lan received the punishment she deserved. He returned to the courtyard and told Liang Ladi the good news. Liang Ladi was so excited that tears welled up in his eyes. He thanked He Yuzhu and Lao Li repeatedly.

He Yuzhu patted Liang Ladi on the shoulder and said with a smile: "Ladi, you can rest assured this time. Liu Lan will never dare to bully you again."

Liang Ladi nodded, his eyes full of gratitude: "Brother Yuzhu, you are really our good brother. If there is anything in the future, as long as you say a word, I will go through fire and water without hesitation."

He Yuzhu smiled and said, "Our courtyard is a big family. We can live well only if we help each other. In the future, if there is anything, we will discuss it together and work together to make our courtyard better."

Liang Ladi nodded heavily, his heart full of hope for the future. He Yuzhu looked at Liang Ladi in front of him and felt warm in his heart. He knew that although there were many challenges ahead, as long as everyone united, they would be able to overcome all difficulties and usher in a better tomorrow.

As time went by, life in the courtyard gradually returned to peace. Under the leadership of He Yuzhu, the neighbors became more united and harmonious. He Yuzhu knew that this was just the beginning and there would be many things he needed to solve in the future, but he believed that as long as everyone worked together, they would be able to build the courtyard into a truly warm and harmonious home.

He Yuzhu was full of confidence in the future of the courtyard, but the trivialities of life continued. One morning, He Yuzhu decided to go to the market to buy some fresh vegetables and happened to meet Qin Huairu in the yard.

Qin Huairu was a young widow with a gentle personality and was kind to others. The neighbors in the courtyard liked her very much. She had two children and although her life was hard, she was always optimistic and positive. He Yuzhu had known her for a long time and they were very familiar with each other.

"Sister Qin, where are you going today?" He Yuzhu greeted with a smile.

Qin Huairu was holding her little son. When she saw He Yuzhu, she smiled: "Yuzhu, good morning. I'm just about to go to the market to buy some beans. Do you want to come with me?"

He Yuzhu readily agreed: "Okay, I'm going to buy some vegetables too, let's go together."

The two walked out of the courtyard side by side, the sun shone on them, and the air was filled with the fresh breath of the morning. On the way, Qin Huairu and He Yuzhu chatted about the recent trivialities of life, and the atmosphere was relaxed and happy.

"Yuzhui, I heard that you have helped a lot of neighbors solve their problems recently. Thank you for your hard work." Qin Huairu said with gratitude.

He Yuzhu smiled and waved his hand: "It's nothing, this is what we should do. We all live in the same yard, and it's only natural for us to help each other. Besides, seeing everyone living well, I feel at ease."

Qin Huairu nodded, with admiration in her eyes: "Yuzhu, you are really the big brother of our courtyard. With you around, we all feel much more at ease."

He Yuzhu felt warm in his heart. Qin Huairu's words made him feel that his efforts were worthwhile. They continued to walk towards the market and soon arrived at the bustling market. The market was bustling with people, vendors were shouting constantly, and the air was filled with the aroma of various vegetables and fruits.

"Sister Qin, how many beans do you want to buy?" He Yuzhu asked.

"Not much, just enough for our family to eat for a few days." Qin Huairu replied with a smile.

The two came to a stall selling beans. Qin Huairu carefully selected fresh beans while He Yuzhu helped carry the basket. They chatted as they selected, and the topics ranged from vegetable prices to children's studies.

"Sister Qin, how is your child doing in school recently?" He Yuzhu asked with concern.

Qin Huairu smiled with satisfaction: "Not bad, the teacher said they all work hard. Although their family conditions are not very good, I always encourage them to study hard and have a bright future."

He Yuzhu nodded, and admired Qin Huairu's strength and optimism even more. He knew that as a single mother, Qin Huairu had to bear a lot of pressure, but she never complained and always tried her best to take care of the children.

"Sister Qin, you have worked hard. If you need any help, just tell me and I will do my best to help." He Yuzhu said sincerely.

Qin Huairu looked at him gratefully: "Thank you, Yuzhu. I really feel lucky to have a friend like you."

After they had picked the beans, He Yuzhu insisted on paying for Qin Huairu, who could not refuse but finally accepted. The two of them carried their baskets and continued to walk around the market for a while, buying some other vegetables and fruits, and then returned to the courtyard together.

When they returned to the yard, the neighbors came forward to greet them. He Yuzhu and Qin Huairu distributed the vegetables they bought to several neighbors in need, and everyone expressed their gratitude to them.

He Yuzhu felt satisfied, and helping others made him feel that his life was fulfilling and meaningful. He looked at Qin Huairu and the children busy in the yard, and secretly made up his mind to care for and help them more in the future, so that this courtyard would become a truly warm big family.
