Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 169 But the reason is still unclear

"Dudley!" Harry quickly lifted up his cousin and shook him to try to wake him up. But Dudley did not respond and was unconscious.

Harry looked anxiously at the Dursleys, but they stood there without saying a word, their faces full of indifference. Harry's heart was filled with endless anger and helplessness. He knew he had to take action.

"Aren't you worried about him?" Harry glared at Vernon, his voice filled with anger.

Vernon replied coldly, "He asked for it."

"You can't just leave him like this!" Harry said firmly. "I'm going to find out who did this."

Harry looked at the paleness on Dudley's face, and endless worry and anger surged in his heart. He felt the indifference of Vernon and Petunia, but he also knew that he could not do nothing. At this moment, a gentle voice sounded: "Harry, you are here."

Harry turned around and saw his aunt Petunia sitting beside the bed, her face full of worry. Her eyes revealed a complex emotion, seeming to be both worried and helpless.

"Aunt, what happened to Dudley?" Harry walked to the bed and stared at his unconscious cousin.

Petunia sighed, "He...he fell from a great height and Vernon found him. We quickly brought him home."

Harry frowned, "How could he fall from such a high place? This couldn't be an accident."

Petunia remained silent, her eyes fell on Dudley, her expression complicated. After a while, she said softly: "His performance in Hogwarts is getting worse and worse. He is always bullied and ridiculed..."

Harry felt a pang of grief. He knew that Dudley was not popular in the wizarding world, but he never thought it would develop to this point. He gently held Petunia's hand and said, "Aunt, we will find out the truth."

Petunia looked up at Harry, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "Are you...are you really willing to help him?"

"Of course." Harry answered firmly, "Dudley is my cousin. He was harmed innocently. I will not sit idly by and watch."

Tears welled up in Petunia's eyes, and she gently stroked Dudley's forehead. "Thank you, Harry. Perhaps you could ask his classmates to see if they know what happened."

Harry nodded, determined to start investigating. He said goodbye to Petunia, left the Dursleys' room, and set out on the journey to Hogwarts.

At school, Harry began to look for Dudley's classmates. Most of them avoided talking or perfunctorily asked, obviously not interested in what happened to the Dursleys. However, when Harry met a Gryffindor student named Neil, he finally heard some useful information.

"Dudley? Oh, him, he's been staying in a corner alone lately." Neil shrugged. "I heard that he was pushed to a high place by a group of boys, and then..."

"And then?" Harry asked impatiently.

Neil hung his head. "They pushed him down."

Harry clenched his fists tighter. "Do you know who did this?"

"Sorry, I just heard about it." Neil looked away, looking a little uncomfortable.

Harry was furious, and he realized that things might be more serious than he thought. He left Neil and decided to continue looking for clues.

In the next few days, Harry conducted a lot of investigations to try to find out who those who bullied Dudley were. He found that some students still had prejudice and hostility towards members of the Dursley family, and Dudley was undoubtedly one of their main targets. But he could not find conclusive evidence.

Just when Harry had almost given up, one cold evening, he overheard a whisper. He followed the sound to the backyard of the school and found a small group talking.

"…Next time I'll find another chance and get rid of that Dursley once and for all."

"Yes, they are really annoying. They always act like they are superior to others."

Harry moved closer, trying to hear more of the conversation, when a student suddenly turned around and noticed his presence.

"Hey, isn't this Harry Potter?" a familiar voice sounded.

Harry's heart tightened as he saw a group of faces with mockery and hostility in their eyes. They were the ones who bullied Dudley.

"You know what happened to Dudley!" Harry's voice was full of anger and dissatisfaction.

"What's wrong?" one boy said defiantly, "He's just a pig, isn't he? We were just joking."

"What a joke!" Harry strode forward, "You pushed him down, and now he's lying on the bed unconscious!"

"Harry Potter, what nonsense are you talking about?" sneered the other boy. "We didn't do that."

Harry's eyes flashed with anger, he knew these people would not easily admit their crimes. Suddenly, a familiar voice interrupted their confrontation.

"Harry, what happened?" Vernon Dursley's voice sounded from behind.

Harry turned around and saw Vernon and Petunia standing not far away. Petunia's face was pale, and her eyes were full of worry and sadness. Vernon pretended to be concerned, but his eyes revealed a hint of disdain and ridicule.

"Dudley was pushed down! He's lying on the bed unconscious now!" Harry glared at Vernon.

Vernon frowned, "What? How is that possible?"

"You guys!" Harry pointed at the students who bullied Dudley, "That's what they did!"

"Harry, don't make random accusations!" Vernon sneered, "Dudley has always been clumsy, it's no surprise that he fell down."

Harry was filled with endless anger, but he knew that arguing now would not lead to any result, so he decided to leave here first and find more powerful evidence.

A few days later, Dudley was still in a coma. Harry visited his aunt Petunia every day. She sat by the bed, taking care of Dudley, looking haggard. She always stayed by her son's side silently, stroking his forehead from time to time, her eyes revealing endless sadness and helplessness.

"Harry, you're here." Penny raised her head and watched Harry come in with a smile.

"Aunt, how is Dudley?" Harry walked to the bed and asked.

Penny sighed, "The doctor said he was just in a coma, but the cause is still unclear."

Harry looked at Dudley on the bed, his heart filled with helplessness and anger. He knew his aunt was in great pain, but he could do nothing.

"Aunt, I will continue to find the truth." Harry held Petunia's hand, "They can't just get away with it."

Petunia nodded slightly, her eyes full of gratitude and hope. "Thank you, Harry. You're a good boy."

In the following days, Harry tried hard to find clues. He discussed with Hermione and Ron, trying to find out the true identities of the students who bullied Dudley.
