Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 187 Powerful Magic Attack

Vernon glanced at Harry coldly, a sneer on his face.

"Oh, little Harry, you are such an emotional guy," he sneered. "Do you think you can become great with some magical skills? You are still an insignificant child and can never surpass me and my son!"

Harry felt the rage boiling inside him, but he held it in. He knew that Vernon's taunts were only meant to provoke him, to drive him off his feet.

"You are nothing but an incompetent coward," Harry said calmly, his voice full of coldness and sarcasm. "You only rely on the power of others to show your superiority, but you never have any real value."

Vernon's face turned livid when he heard this, and his eyes flashed with anger. He raised his hand and seemed to be about to attack Harry, but his aunt stopped him in time.

"Vernon, don't be like this," said his aunt anxiously, trying to calm Vernon's anger. "Now is not the time to quarrel, we should unite and help Dudley get through this difficult time."

Vernon looked at Harry with gritted teeth, then turned and left the infirmary. His back gradually disappeared into the darkness, leaving behind a silence and depression.

In the quiet of the infirmary, Harry and his aunt sat by Dudley's bed, their hearts filled with worry and anxiety. Dudley was still unconscious, and his aunt gently stroked his forehead, praying that he would wake up soon.

Suddenly, a slight knock on the door broke the silence of the infirmary. My aunt raised her head, a hint of doubt flashed in her eyes, then she stood up and walked towards the door.

"Who's visiting at this hour?" my aunt whispered to herself, her fingers tightening on the door handle.

She opened the door and immediately saw Vernon. He stood at the door with a kind face, as if to express his concern and condolences. However, her aunt knew that Vernon's actions were just a hypocritical attitude.

"Vernon, you're here," my aunt said with a hint of doubt and indifference in her tone.

Vernon walked into the infirmary with a smile, his eyes moving between Dudley and his aunt on the bed, as if searching for something.

"Yes, Patty," said Vernon, with a hint of cunning in his voice. "I heard Dudley had a little accident, so I came to see him."

Her aunt frowned. She knew Vernon's thoughts very well and knew that he didn't really care about Dudley's safety.

"Yes, Dudley..." Auntie said softly, with a hint of sadness in her voice. "He is still in a coma, and the doctor said he doesn't know when he will wake up."

Vernon looked concerned, but there was a hint of smugness in his eyes.

"Oh, this is so unfortunate," he said in a mock sigh. "I hope Dudley can wake up soon. After all, it must be hard for you to have one less person at home."

When her aunt heard this, she felt a surge of anger in her heart, but she suppressed her emotions and did not want to argue with Vernon.

“Yes,” she said softly, with a hint of resignation in her tone. “I just hope he can get well soon.”

Vernon looked at his aunt, a sly glint in his eyes.

“I know this is a big blow to you,” he said, with a hint of false sympathy in his voice. “But you have to be strong. After all, we have a family to take care of.”

After hearing this, my aunt felt a little indignant, but she knew that now was not the time to lose her temper. She could only swallow her anger and not give Vernon any excuse.

“Yes,” she said softly, trying to hide her sadness. “I’ll do my best.”

Vernon looked at his aunt, a smug smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, then he turned and left the infirmary. His back gradually disappeared at the end of the corridor, leaving behind a silence and depression.

Auntie was immersed in deep sorrow. She sat quietly beside Dudley's bed, staring at his peaceful sleeping face. Although Dudley's body was quiet, the atmosphere beside the bed was full of uneasiness and anxiety.

Harry stood by the infirmary, feeling equally heavy-hearted. He was fully aware of the challenges he and his aunt were facing, and was worried about Dudley's coma. He didn't know what kind of misfortune Dudley had encountered, and whether it was related to his magical identity.

At this moment, the door of the infirmary was gently pushed open a crack, and then a familiar figure walked in. It was Ron, Harry's good friend.

"Harry," Ron walked carefully to Harry, with a hint of concern in his tone. "I heard something happened to Dudley. Are you and your aunt okay?"

Harry nodded and looked at Ron gratefully.

"Yeah, we're fine," said Harry, a hint of fatigue in his voice. "But Dudley hasn't woken up yet, and the doctor doesn't know what's going on."

Ron frowned, a hint of worry flickering in his eyes.

"I hope he's all right," Ron said, his tone full of worry. "This kind of thing is really worrying."

Harry nodded, knowing that Ron was as worried about Dudley's safety as he was. Their friendship was particularly important at this time, allowing them to feel each other's support and encouragement.

Just then, the door of the infirmary opened again, and a witch in a white robe walked in. She was the medical professor, and she had just finished examining Dudley.

"I'm sorry to bother you," the medical professor said, a hint of seriousness in his tone. "I just gave Dudley a thorough checkup and found some problems."

Harry and his aunt immediately became nervous, and they anxiously waited for the medical professor's explanation.

"As far as I know," said the medical professor, with a hint of heaviness in his tone. "Dudley's coma was not caused by a physical problem, but because he suffered a powerful magical attack."

Harry and his aunt were shocked to hear this. They couldn't believe that Dudley had been attacked by magic.

"But who would cast magic on him?" Harry asked doubtfully, his heart full of confusion and anxiety.

The medical professor paused for a moment, then said, "This is what I am investigating. But according to my initial observation, this magical attack is not simple. It contains extremely vicious power and seems to come from an extraordinary magician."

Hearing this, Harry and his aunt were filled with anxiety and fear. They didn't know who had cast such a vicious spell on Dudley, and they were even more worried about whether this mysterious wizard would harm their family and friends.
