Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 216 Becoming a Night Watchman
"I understand, Hagrid. Thank you for your love and support all the time." Harry held Hagrid's hand tightly to express his gratitude.
Hagrid smiled, with a loving light in his eyes. "Harry, you are my pride and my hope. No matter what happens in the future, I will always stand by your side, support you and protect you."
Hagrid sat alone in the hut, holding in his hands an old copper necklace with a crimson gemstone on it, an item he had treasured since childhood, for it was his only memory, his only clue to his biological mother.
He closed his eyes and recalled his mother's gentle smile when he was a child, but his memory of his mother was vague and unclear. For many years, Hagrid had been dreaming of finding the whereabouts of his biological mother and figuring out the mystery of his life experience.
"Hagrid, what are you thinking about?" A familiar voice broke his thoughts. It was Harry Potter.
Hagrid looked up, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes. "I was thinking, how wonderful it would be if I could find my biological mother."
Harry walked over to Hagrid and looked at the necklace in his hand. "Is this what your mother left you?"
Hagrid nodded, "Yes, this is my only memory, of my biological mother."
Harry stared at Hagrid. "Have you always wanted to find her?"
Hagrid sighed deeply, "Yes, for years I have dreamed of finding her. But until now, I have found nothing."
Harry stood quietly beside Hagrid. He could feel the pain and confusion in Hagrid's heart. "Maybe one day, you will find her."
Hagrid smiled, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Thank you, Harry. Your words gave me some confidence."
At this moment, suddenly, there was a hurried knock on the door. Hagrid and Harry turned their heads at the same time, wondering who would come to visit at this time.
Hagrid opened the door and saw a panicked woman standing outside, her eyes full of pleading.
"You...you are Hagrid, right?" the woman asked in a trembling voice.
Hagrid was stunned for a moment, then nodded. "Yes, I am Hagrid. Who are you? What can I do for you?"
Hagrid was stunned, his eyes full of shock and disbelief. He had never expected that his biological mother would suddenly appear in this remote cottage.
Harry was also startled by this unexpected visitor, but he quickly calmed down. He knew that this woman might know the mystery of Hagrid's life experience.
"You are... my mother?" Hagrid said these words with difficulty.
The woman nodded, tears rolling down her cheeks, her voice trembling, "Yes, I am your mother. I have been looking for you for many years."
Endless emotions surged in Hagrid's heart. He held his mother's hand tightly with trembling hands, as if he wanted to engrave her existence firmly in his heart.
"Why did you leave me?" Hagrid's voice was full of confusion and sadness.
A trace of regret flashed in the woman's eyes. "That was a mistake I made when I was young. I didn't have the courage to face my responsibilities, so I chose to leave."
Hagrid was silent for a moment, he could feel the pain and guilt in his mother's heart. He knew that no matter what happened, he could not change the past, but what was important now was that they had a chance to reestablish the connection between mother and son.
"I can go back to Winterfell, but I need time," Harry interrupted suddenly, "I promise that I will tell you about Hagrid's life story before I come back."
Hagrid turned his head and looked at Harry, his heart full of gratitude. He knew that Harry was an honest and trustworthy person who would keep his promise and would not let him down.
The woman raised her head, her eyes gleaming with hope. "Thank you, thank you for giving me this opportunity."
On the morning of departure, the sky over Winterfell was dyed with a faint morning glow, and a bright sun slowly rose, enveloping everything in warm light.
Harry Potter stood at the gate of the castle, watching Hagrid leave. His heart was filled with mixed emotions, feeling lost and lonely, but also feeling an endless hope and expectation.
Hagrid stood in front of Harry, his eyes filled with deep reluctance. "Harry, I'm leaving. I'm going to the Wall and do my best to protect that land."
Harry nodded silently. He knew that this was Hagrid's deepest desire and mission. "I understand, Hagrid. You have to do what you think is right."
Hagrid looked at Harry deeply. "You are an outstanding young man, Harry. I am sure you can handle any challenge."
Harry smiled, "Thank you, Hagrid. You have always been a mentor and friend to me."
Hagrid stretched out his strong arm and patted Harry's shoulder. "No matter what happens, I will always support you."
Harry held Hagrid's hand tightly, his heart full of gratitude and respect. He knew that no matter where Hagrid went, he would always cherish his friendship and help.
When Hagrid turned and left, Harry's heart was filled with an inexplicable emotion. He knew that this separation might be a long time before they would see each other again, but he also believed that Hagrid would do his best on the Wall to protect the land and the people.
As Hagrid embarks on his journey to the Wall, his heart is full of expectations and challenges for the future. However, he also understands that this means he will bid farewell to his past life and will no longer have his own family.
During the journey, his thoughts often returned to his biological mother. Although he finally found her, he was unable to establish a true mother-son relationship with her. This made him feel endless regret and loneliness.
At the time of parting, Hagrid's conversation with Harry often echoed in his ears. He remembered Harry's honesty and courage, and he knew that he was fulfilling his mission and responsibility by leaving Winterfell to guard the Wall.
As time went by, Hagrid finally arrived at the foot of the Wall, a magnificent building that towered into the clouds and seemed to touch the edge of the sky.
When Hagrid stood on the Great Wall and looked down at the land beneath his feet, he felt a sense of solemnity. He knew that this was not only a border, but also the last line of defense to protect the wizarding world.
"Hagrid, would you like to be a night watchman?" A deep voice suddenly sounded behind him.
