Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 25: All the blame for Hogwarts today will be paid by Mr. Snape!
Being able to not study was naturally what Dudley was most happy to see. Even Miss Granger, who was devoted to studying, became curious about Hagrid's behavior. So, an hour later, they knocked on the door of the hunting lodge.
It was incredibly hot in the hut. As soon as Dudley entered, he took off his robe completely, revealing the tight vest underneath. Harry and the other two were also sweating profusely. Hagrid didn't care. He just made a pot of tea and brought them stoat sandwiches. The three of them felt a little sorry for such cute little creatures, so they politely declined Hagrid's kindness.
Only our brother D was there, holding a teacup in one hand and a sandwich in the other, eating with his mouth full of oil.
"Hagrid, besides Fluffy, are there any other mechanisms guarding the Philosopher's Stone?"
Hagrid shuddered, then stammered something perfunctory.
"Oh, of course I can't tell you. In the first place, I don't know myself; and in the second place, you know too much."
"In short, it makes sense that this stone is placed in Hogwarts instead of Gringotts."
Hermione's eyes rolled, and the quirky Miss Granger quickly changed her tone to a sweet and flattering one, which made Dudley, Ron and Harry feel creepy.
After all, it is an extremely rare scene to see the serious Miss Granger making the clip sound.
"Oh, Hagrid, you don't want to tell us, do you?"
"You must know. Nothing that happened at Hogwarts could escape your eyes."
You shouldn't hit a smiling person, not to mention that Hagrid is a tight-lipped person. His beard trembled, and although he made no sound, you could tell from his expression that he was smiling.
"Actually, we just want to know who designed those mechanisms."
"We want to know, who else can Dumbledore trust to help him besides you?"
Hearing this, Hagrid's back straightened up immediately. Harry and Ron looked at each other, and it was done.
Dumbledore borrowed Fluffy, the three-headed dog, from Hagrid. In addition, several professors cast spells to protect him, including Hufflepuff's head of house, Pomona Sprout, Ravenclaw's head of house, Flitwick, Gryffindor's head of house, McGonagall, and Professor Quirrell.
Of course, Dumbledore himself also performed some magic, and finally, in Hagrid's recollection, he still spat out the name Severus Snape.
Harry instinctively shuddered. This was what he expected, but also what he least wanted to see.
Because all the previous reports had ended with Dumbledore's "don't bother with him", Hagrid would never believe what Harry saw with his own eyes, but to Harry, Snape was basically a confirmed criminal.
How could this be such a coincidence?
During Quidditch, he saw Snape chanting a spell; on the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest, he saw Snape "threatening" Quirrell, and coupled with the usual difficulties in Potions class, let alone Harry being only a boy of eleven or twelve, even if he was a young man of twenty-four or twenty-five, or the same age as Dumbledore, it would be difficult to clear Severus of suspicion.
More and more questions made Harry fall into some kind of thinking, so much so that the little dragon did not attract his attention.
Hermione glanced at Dudley subconsciously, and Dudley just quietly raised his index finger and put it to his lips. Miss Granger nodded in understanding.
Basically, a spoiler and a very smart wizard were enough to deduce the whole thing. However, because of Dudley's words, Hermione did not offer any additional opinions. However, this made her a little unhappy because she was outspoken, so she could only kick Dudley's calf without leaving any trace.
Actually, when it comes to this matter, Dudley himself has his own selfish motives.
If all the evidence was placed before Dumbledore, Professor Quirrell might be arrested soon, given his status as Harry's protector. However, Voldemort was so cunning that he would not be burned to death by Harry's Fidelius Curse as in the normal plot. Given the strictness of the guards at Hogwarts...
Dudley scratched his head, he began to miss the Dementors he had never met.
What happened afterwards was natural. Malfoy's peeping and the 200 points deducted for sending Norbert away made Harry unable to hold his head up in front of the Gryffindor students.
However, no one dared to say anything in front of Harry and the other two, because Dudley behind him would beat up anyone who acted sarcastic, no matter if they were seniors or freshmen. Even Malfoy, who was gloating, could only leave in shame when he saw Dudley roll up his sleeves and show his fists.
A new kind of fairness has been achieved among the students of Hogwarts.
Naturally, the scene of beating Goyle and Crabbe and making Malfoy lose face that day spread all over Hogwarts. Strangely, Snape did not deduct points from Gryffindor for this, so Dudley's reputation spread all of a sudden. Who dared to offend him?
After witnessing the Riddler's men and the poor corpse of the unicorn in the Forbidden Forest, the atmosphere between the trio became particularly heavy. Even Miss Granger, who was paying close attention to the score, couldn't help but focus on the whereabouts of the Philosopher's Stone.
But this did not affect Dudley's mood. He just exercised, boxed, ate, and slept day after day.
Soon, exam week came.
Professor Flitwick's content involves having a pineapple tap dance across a desk.
Professor McGonagall asked everyone to turn the mouse into a snuff box. The more exquisite the box, the higher the score.
Logically, Dudley should not be able to pass these two exams. However, Dudley has not been idle during this period. The system has given him a very good reward for "correcting the school spirit of Hogwarts" - wizard bloodline.
This meant that Dudley truly became a wizard and could perform magic and learn spells like other students without having to worry about having only brute force.
However, starting from scratch was still a bit difficult for Dudley. Fortunately, Miss Granger was a responsible tutor, so Dudley had some twists and turns in the two exams. For example, the one about the snuff box, when Professor McGonagall saw the mouse whiskers on the box, she trembled and wanted to deduct points.
But when Minerva thought of Dudley's bloodline, she suppressed her emotions. After all, compared with other students, Mr. Dursley had more important tasks, didn't he?
Next, it was time for the Potions exam.
Harry had great talent, inherited from his mother, which made his performance in Potions class exceptionally good even without Snape's sarcasm.
Ron did memorize a lot, and although the finished product wasn't very pretty, it was still considered a low score.
Hermione needed no introduction, her skills were always top notch.
Snape gnashed his teeth, unable to find any reason to deduct points from Gryffindor, so he could only come to Dudley's stirring pot with his personal emotions.
"You call this a forgetfulness potion?"
Looking at the sticky liquid that was rolling with black bubbles and emitting a burnt smell, Snape wished he could use his famous spell on this honest Gryffindor student.
