Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 257 Hermione's Concerns
"Fire is an extremely primal and powerful element," Dumbledore continued, "but it is also a dangerous force. Only those wizards who can maintain their inner peace and not be controlled by it can absorb its power."
Harry gently stretched his hands toward the big fireball. He could feel the heat of the flames close to his palms, but he did not feel burning or uncomfortable, but a warm and wonderful feeling. He closed his eyes and began to focus on his inner self, allowing himself to establish a subtle and mysterious connection with the flames.
He began to think of his days in Gryffindor Tower, where every inch of stone and every corner was filled with laughter and friendship. He remembered the happy times playing with Ron, and the days of exploring magical knowledge with Hermione in the library. These memories made his heart calmer and more stable.
He also remembered the final battle between him and Voldemort, which was a contest of fate. He was burdened with a heavy responsibility, but full of faith and courage. He was no longer afraid of the power of darkness, because he knew that he had the ability to resist them and even turn them into his own strength.
"Focus, Harry." Dumbledore's voice sounded in his ears again. "You need calmness and concentration to control the power of fire."
Harry took a deep breath, he could feel the flow of magic inside his body, it was a powerful and mysterious feeling. He began to slowly guide the energy in the flame into his body, carefully balancing and adjusting each force.
As time went by, he could feel his body gradually being filled with the power of the flame, and every cell in his body seemed to establish a wonderful resonance with the flame. His brows furrowed slightly, but he did not stop, because he knew that this was the path he had chosen, and he had to stick to it.
"Very well, Harry," Dumbledore's voice sounded again. "Your will and skill are growing. Absorb this power and make it a part of you."
On a quiet night, the hall of Hogwarts was filled with a sumptuous dinner. Harry Potter sat at the long table of Gryffindor College, looking at the various delicious dishes in front of him. Since he successfully absorbed the energy of the big fireball, he felt that his body and mind had been deeply nourished and strengthened.
Harry's stomach began to make a faint sound, and he realized that he was very hungry. He picked up a piece of fragrant roast meat, and there were also golden roast potatoes and a bowl of fragrant cream soup on the plate. The food exuded a tempting aroma, which made his mouth drool.
"Harry, you look in good spirits tonight." Ron sat next to him, his face filled with satisfaction and happiness.
Harry smiled and nodded. "Yes, Ron. I feel stronger than ever. I can feel magic flowing through my body, like every bite of food is fueling my magic."
Hermione sat across from them, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and excitement. "How did you do it, Harry? Absorbing the power of a large fireball is not an easy task."
Harry frowned, recalling the practice just now. "That's not easy, Hermione. I need to concentrate my attention and keep my mind calm. Only in this way can I control the energy of the flame."
Ron muttered, "If I could absorb the power of the fireball, I could make my wand more powerful than Ford Folfrey's cloak."
Harry smiled, knowing that Ron always liked to joke around. He continued to enjoy the food in his hand, savoring every bite, while also feeling the stronger magic in his body slowly accumulating and growing.
After dinner, Harry followed Hermione out of the hall and they strolled along the corridors of Hogwarts, the moonlight pouring through the windows onto the floor, casting mottled shadows.
"Harry, what do you think we should do next?" Hermione asked, her eyes full of anticipation.
Harry paused and thought for a moment. "I think I need more practice and learning. Mastering the power of the fireball is just the beginning. I hope to be able to explore and understand the depths of magic further."
Hermione nodded. She understood Harry's pursuit. "Your determination and perseverance will always be an example to us, Harry. I believe you can achieve your goal."
In the following weeks, Harry Potter continued to absorb and control the energy of the fireball. Every day's training was full of challenges and efforts, and he needed to maintain a high degree of concentration and inner peace to avoid being harmed by the fire energy.
However, as time went on, Harry began to feel that he was becoming more and more exhausted. After each practice, his body would feel extremely tired and weak, as if his magic had been completely drained. His mind also became increasingly unstable, and he often felt dizzy and even had occasional memory fuzziness.
Both Hermione and Ron began to notice the changes in Harry. Hermione's brows were often furrowed, and she was worried that Harry would hurt himself due to over-exertion. Ron often advised Harry to slow down, but he also knew Harry's character and knew that he would not easily give up his determination to pursue greater power.
One night, Harry walked alone by the lake at Hogwarts. The lake was sparkling, and the moonlight shone on his body, making him look a little pale. He was immersed in his own thoughts, and realized that his physical and mental state was gradually becoming unstable.
"Harry, what are you doing here?" A voice broke his thoughts and he looked up to see Hermione standing by the lake.
Harry smiled, but couldn't hide his inner exhaustion. "I just need a moment, Hermione. I'm thinking about something."
Hermione approached him, her eyes filled with worry. "You need to rest, Harry. You've been training with the Fireball for weeks now, and it's obvious that you've exhausted it."
Harry shook his head slightly. "I can't stop, Hermione. I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to mastering this power, and I can't just give up."
Hermione's frown deepened. "But, Harry, your health is more important than any strength. You need to find a balance and not let yourself go into a state of overexertion."
Harry was silent for a while. He understood Hermione's concerns and knew that what she said was right. However, his deep desire and sense of responsibility made him feel that he could not let go easily.
