Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 297 Don’t Put Too Much Pressure on Yourself
Dinner started, and Harry ate his pumpkin pie while listening to the whispers around him. The students were all guessing how intense the debate would be tonight, and some were even betting on who would win. Harry was a little nervous, because he knew that this debate was not only about teaching methods, but also about the future of the entire wizarding world.
After dinner, Dumbledore stood up and the whole hall fell silent. He walked to the podium and waved his hand, "Students, we have some important things to discuss today. I know that everyone is concerned about the future of Hogwarts, so we decided to make this discussion public. Let everyone know what kind of decision we are making."
Then, Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape, and Professor Flitwick also walked up to the podium. They stood on either side of Dumbledore, with different expressions on their faces. Professor McGonagall looked a little nervous, Snape was as indifferent as ever, and Professor Flitwick seemed more relaxed.
Dumbledore spoke first. "Recently, we have been discussing some important issues regarding the future of Hogwarts. The first is about the adjustment of teaching content. Do we need to add more practical magic courses to deal with external threats?"
Professor McGonagall was the first to speak. She said firmly, "I think we should keep the existing curriculum, but add some elective courses to give students more choices."
Snape disagreed, "I think our students need more defense classes, especially during these uneasy times."
Professor Flitwick said softly, "I think we should pay more attention to the mental health of students, so that they can not only learn magic here, but also feel the warmth of home."
The debate became increasingly heated, and each professor had his own unique opinions and reasons. Harry listened quietly, but he became more and more nervous. He knew that no matter what the final decision was, it would have a profound impact on every student studying at Hogwarts.
At this moment, there was a commotion at the door, and everyone's eyes were focused there. An old wizard in a green robe walked slowly into the hall, and everyone recognized him - the new Minister of Magic, Ralph Scrimgeour.
"Good evening, Dumbledore," Scrimgeour said dryly, "I heard there was an important discussion going on here, so I decided to come and see."
Dumbledore nodded, "Of course, Minister Scrimgeour, you are welcome to join our discussion."
Scrimgeour walked to the podium, facing all the students and teachers, and said seriously: "The wizarding world is currently in crisis, and we need to make changes. I propose to add more defense classes, especially defense against the dark arts."
There was an uproar in the hall, and students were talking in low voices. Harry's heartbeat quickened, and he knew what Scrimgeour's proposal meant. This was not just about adjusting the curriculum, but the Ministry of Magic trying to interfere with the teaching of Hogwarts.
Professor McGonagall firmly objected, "Minister, Hogwarts has its own teaching system. We don't need outside interference."
Snape expressed his support, "I agree with the Minister's proposal. We need a stronger defense course."
Professor Flitwick tried to mediate, "Perhaps we can find a compromise solution that increases defense classes without cutting other courses."
The argument intensified, and Harry felt powerless. He hoped he could do something, but he didn't know where to start. At this moment, Dumbledore spoke again, "Whatever decision we make, it must be in the best interests of the students. We will continue to discuss and find the most appropriate solution."
The meeting ultimately came to no conclusion, but Harry knew that the debate would not end soon. Hogwarts would face new challenges, and he and his friends must prepare for the uncertainty of the future.
Hogwarts was particularly quiet at night, with only the sound of the night wind blowing the curtains. Harry Potter sat by the window of Gryffindor Tower, looking at the dark sky outside, and his heart could not calm down for a long time. The argument in the hall during the day still lingered in his mind, especially the appearance of Minister Scrimgeour, which made him feel an ominous premonition.
Harry's eyes turned to a book on flying magic on the table. He had borrowed this book from the library and never had the chance to study it properly. Harry had a special passion for flying magic. Ever since he first rode a broom, he knew he had a special connection with the sky.
"Perhaps learning some new flying magic can distract me and make me forget those troubles for a while." Harry whispered to himself and opened the book.
The first page of the book was an ancient magic circle diagram, which detailed the casting methods and precautions of various flying spells. Harry read it carefully, and every symbol and annotation fascinated him. Flying magic is not only about operating aircraft, but also about controlling wind and air, and accurately mastering magical power.
As Harry read, he gradually entered a state of ecstasy, as if he were flying in the air. He closed his eyes and seemed to feel the wind whistling in his ears and the sky spreading out under his feet.
"Harry, are you still studying?" Hermione's voice came from behind, interrupting his thoughts.
Harry turned around and saw Hermione and Ron standing at the door, looking at him with concern. He smiled, "Yes, I'm working on some new flying magic. Why aren't you asleep yet?"
Hermione walked closer, picked up the book on the table and looked at it. "Harry, do you know how complicated these spells are? Moreover, some of them are even very dangerous."
"I know," Harry nodded, "but I think I need some challenges, something new to learn."
Ron patted Harry on the shoulder. "Hey, man, don't put too much pressure on yourself. What happened today is indeed annoying, but we will find a solution."
Harry looked at his friends with gratitude and felt a warm feeling in his heart. He knew that no matter what difficulties he encountered, they would always be there for him.
Hermione looked at Harry seriously. "Harry, if you really decide to learn these magics, we will support you. But please be careful."
Harry nodded, "Thank you, I will."
In the next few days, Harry immersed himself in studying flying magic whenever he had free time. He got up early every day and practiced new spells on the grass outside the castle. As time went by, he gradually mastered some basic skills, but he knew that the real challenge was still ahead.
One morning, Harry stood alone on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, ready to try a new flying spell, which was a difficult spell that required changing direction and speed instantly in the air.
