Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 301 Getting closer to the truth

That night, he received a letter from Dumbledore, which briefly read: "Harry, come to my office immediately. I have something important to discuss with you."

Harry's heart was in turmoil. He put on his robes, picked up his wand, and quickly left the dormitory. The corridor was silent, with only the sound of his footsteps echoing. When he came to the stone statue, he whispered the familiar password: "Lemon Sherbet."

The stone statue swung open, revealing a secret staircase. Harry walked up and knocked gently on the office door. The door opened and Dumbledore stood at the door with a serious look on his face.

"Come in, Harry," Dumbledore's voice was still gentle, but with a hint of anxiety.

Harry walked into the office and found that in addition to Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape were also there. The three of them looked very serious, which made Harry feel that something was very serious.

"Harry," Dumbledore said, "we have discovered some unusual magical fluctuations that originate from a location we cannot determine. This place may contain unknown dangers, and we need to go and investigate it in person."

"Why me?" Harry asked confused.

"Because of your connection to Voldemort, it may make you more sensitive to such magical fluctuations," Snape replied coldly.

Harry nodded. He knew that this was not just a simple investigation, but an operation that concerned the safety of the wizarding world.

"We need to set off immediately," said Professor McGonagall. "Time is running out. A minute late may have unpredictable consequences."

So Harry and the three professors quickly made preparations, and a few minutes later, they stood in front of the gate of Hogwarts. Dumbledore held a silver wand in his hand and waved it gently. A flash of light flashed in the air, and they disappeared instantly.

When they reappeared, they were surrounded by an unfamiliar forest. The night wind rustled through the treetops. Harry felt a chill he had never felt before. This forest seemed to hide some ancient and dangerous power.

"We need to split up," Dumbledore said. "Harry, you and I will be in one group, and Professor McGonagall and Snape will be in another group. We must find the source of the magical fluctuations."

Harry and Dumbledore walked along a narrow path, with trees blocking out the sun and making it difficult for the moonlight to penetrate. As they walked, Harry noticed that the plants around them seemed to sway gently, as if some invisible force was guiding them.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, they suddenly saw an open space in front of them, with complex runes carved on the ground. Dumbledore frowned and observed the runes carefully.

"These runes are too ancient. I have never seen them before," Dumbledore whispered. "It seems we have found some important clues."

Harry took a step forward, trying to see more clearly. At this moment, a biting cold wind blew, and Harry felt a strong magical force coming towards him. He subconsciously raised his wand, ready to meet the unknown challenge.

Suddenly, a dark shadow rose from the center of the open space and gradually took the shape of a human. Harry's heart tightened, this power reminded him of Voldemort, but he knew that the enemy this time was not Voldemort.

"You shouldn't be here," the shadow said, his voice low and threatening, "This is a forbidden area, no one can enter."

Dumbledore and Harry looked at each other, and Harry saw determination and courage in Dumbledore's eyes. They had no intention of retreating, and they held their wands tightly, ready to face this unknown battle.

The appearance of the shadow made Harry tense up and sweat broke out on his palms. Past battle scenes reverberated in his mind, but he knew that this time the enemy was different. Harry tried to keep himself calm and silently recited the spell that Dumbledore had taught him.

"Who are you?" Harry asked tentatively, his voice trembling a little, but he tried hard to hide his inner fear.

The shadow didn't answer, but just smiled grimly. A suffocating sense of oppression filled the air. Dumbledore's eyes were firm. He raised his wand and whispered a few ancient spells. In the flickering light, the shadow seemed to be forced to take a step back.

"Harry, this is no ordinary enemy," Dumbledore whispered, "We need to find its weakness."

Harry nodded, his mind racing, trying to recall similar scenes he had seen in books before. He felt his heartbeat getting faster and faster, and every step was filled with uncertainty.

As they continued forward, the forest became denser and denser, and the atmosphere around them became more gloomy. Harry couldn't help but think of his days at Hogwarts, when there were dangers but there was always a glimmer of hope. But now, he felt like he was trapped in a bottomless abyss, and every step was filled with unknown threats.

"Harry, we need more information," Dumbledore suddenly stopped and turned to look at him, "Do you remember the book about ancient magic that you recently saw in the Hogwarts library? It mentioned similar runes."

Harry suddenly remembered the contents of the book. Although he had only glanced at it at the time, he remembered that it mentioned an ancient magical ritual that required specific runes and locations. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down.

"As I recall," Harry replied, his voice becoming firmer, "these runes seemed to be part of some kind of seal."

Dumbledore nodded, "We need to break this seal to completely solve the problem."

The two continued to move forward, their steps becoming more cautious. Suddenly, they heard a faint sound in the distance, like someone was singing in a low voice. Harry felt a strong magical fluctuation and knew that they were getting closer and closer to the truth.

"Professor Dumbledore, I have an idea," Harry stopped and said hesitantly, "Perhaps we can use some magical items to enhance our power, such as..."

Dumbledore's eyes sparkled with wisdom, and he interrupted Harry, "That's right, Harry. We need to find an object that can counter this ancient magic."

An idea came to Harry's mind, and he thought of his experience buying a wand in Diagon Alley. Ollivander once mentioned a special wand that only the purest magic could control. Maybe this is what they need.

"Professor, we need a special wand," Harry said firmly, "It's the wand I saw in Ollivander's."

Dumbledore nodded, "Then we must go to Diagon Alley, find Ollivander, and ask him to help us."
