Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 312 Completely Ruthless

Harry thanked the shopkeeper and returned to Hogwarts with the sausages. As night fell, he walked into the Gryffindor Tower and felt the familiar warm atmosphere. In the common room, Hermione and Ron were sitting in front of the fireplace, talking about today's lessons and exercises.

"Harry, you're back!" Hermione saw him and a happy smile appeared on her face.

"How was it? Did you gain anything from the trip to the Forbidden Forest?" Ron asked with a hint of curiosity in his eyes.

"Yes, I found some answers," Harry replied with a smile, and then he took out the box of magic sausages, "I also brought some gifts for everyone."

Hermione and Ron's eyes lit up, and they looked at the sausages curiously. Harry explained, "Each of these magic sausages has a different magical effect. We can try them together."

They sat on the sofa in the common room, and Harry shared the sausages with everyone. Hermione picked up one, looked at it carefully, and then took a bite. Her eyes lit up instantly, and a surprised expression appeared on her face: "This is really great! It feels like I'm instantly full of energy."

Ron couldn't wait to take a bite, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face: "It's so delicious! I feel relaxed."

Harry looked at their reactions and felt very satisfied. He knew that these little magic sausages not only brought delicious food, but also brought them some relaxation and happiness in their busy studies and intense training.

"Thank you, Harry," Hermione said, smiling, "You are always so thoughtful."

"That's right, old friend," Ron patted Harry's shoulder, "It's great to have you around."

Harry felt a warm feeling. He knew that it was the support and companionship of these friends that gave him the courage and strength to face all challenges.

As the night deepened, the common room gradually became quiet. Harry lay on his bed, thinking about everything that had happened that day. He felt his inner strength growing, but he also realized that this was just a new beginning. There would be more challenges waiting for him in the future, but he was no longer afraid, because he knew that no matter what happened, he had his best friend by his side to face everything together.

The next morning, Harry, Hermione and Ron walked into the Great Hall together to have breakfast. The Great Hall was already bustling with students sitting at long tables in groups of three or four, talking about various interesting topics.

"Harry, what are your plans for today?" Hermione asked, watching him as she ate her breakfast.

"I'm going to go to the library and continue researching the clues about those dark wizards," Harry replied, "We have to find out their next plan."

"Good idea. I'll help too," Hermione nodded. "We must find more clues."

Ron chewed his bread and said, "I will continue to keep an eye on the campus and notify you immediately if there is anything suspicious."

After breakfast, the three of them went to the library. The library was quiet and mysterious, with the shelves filled with all kinds of ancient magic books. Harry and Hermione found a corner and began to read books about dark magic and defensive magic.

"Harry, look here," Hermione pointed to a passage in a book, "It mentions an ancient defensive magic that can be used to strengthen the barrier of Hogwarts."

Harry leaned over and read the text carefully. He felt a hope that this might be the key clue they needed. They decided to study this magic further and try to apply it to the protective wards of Hogwarts.

Time passed quickly and night fell again. Harry, Hermione and Ron returned to Gryffindor Tower, feeling tired but full of hope and confidence. They knew that as long as they persisted, they would find a solution to the problem.

Ron agreed, "Yeah, we can't let him get away with it near Hogwarts."

Dumbledore pondered for a moment, then said, "Perhaps we can try a method. Although Selwyn is powerful, he is currently under our temporary control. If we can convince him to save himself, we may be able to obtain more useful information."

A trace of doubt flashed in Harry's eyes, "Save yourself? How is that possible?"

Dumbledore smiled and explained, "Self-salvation does not only refer to physical salvation, but also spiritual salvation. Perhaps he is struggling deep in his heart, but we need to find a way to touch his heart."

Hermione nodded, "That sounds difficult, but we can try."

So, they decided to go and see Selwyn who was under control. In a safe room underground, Selwyn was bound in magic chains, with an indifferent and cold expression. Harry and his friends walked into the room, and Dumbledore stood aside, watching everything.

"Selwyn, we know you are not completely heartless," Dumbledore said, "Why did you choose the Dark Arts? Perhaps you have your reasons."

Selwyn sneered, "Reasons? What do you so-called righteous magicians know?"

Harry took a step forward and looked Selwyn in the eyes, "We may not fully understand your situation, but we are willing to listen. If you can tell us your story, perhaps we can help you."

A hint of mixed emotions flashed across Selwyn's eyes, but he quickly concealed it, "You kids don't understand anything."

Hermione also stepped forward, "Selwyn, we all have moments of confusion and pain. Dark magic may have given you power, but can it really fill the emptiness in your heart?"

Selwyn was silent for a while, his eyes softened, "Do you really think that black magic is my only choice?"

Ron followed up, "No, Selwyn. Everyone has a choice. You can choose to let go of hatred and choose redemption."

Selwyn's expression gradually became complicated, and he lowered his head, as if he was lost in deep thought. Harry felt that he was indeed struggling deep in his heart, with unknown pain.

“You may be right,” Selwyn whispered, “but it won’t be easy.”

Dumbledore stepped forward and whispered, "No one said redemption would be easy. But this is your one chance to choose your path again."

Selwyn looked up, a look of determination in his eyes, "Okay, I'm willing to try. But I need your help."

Harry nodded, "We will help you, Selwyn. No matter what you did in the past, we are willing to give you a chance to start over."

In the following days, Harry and his friends often visited Selwyn, listened to his past experiences, and helped him gradually get rid of the shadow of the dark magic.
