Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 355 A flash of fear

On a cold night, Harry stood on the tower of Hogwarts, overlooking the entire castle. The night breeze blew gently, and his thoughts drifted back to his past experiences. The faces of those deceased relatives and friends emerged in his mind, and he knew that this was not only for himself, but also for them.

Over the next few days, Harry, Hermione, and Ron continued to prepare for the ritual. Harry's control over magic continued to improve, and he gradually regained the familiar feeling. However, things don't always go according to plan. On an ordinary afternoon, Harry read The Secret of Time in his office, trying to find more useful information from it.

"This book is so crucial," Harry whispered to himself. "Every detail could mean the difference between success and failure."

Just as he was concentrating on his books, the door of his office was suddenly pushed open, and several roommates rushed in. They were Draco Malfoy and his two followers, Crabbe and Goyle. Malfoy had his usual arrogant smile on his face, and his eyes were flashing with ill intent.

"Malfoy, what do you want?" Harry asked, feeling vaguely uneasy.

"Just came to see what you were up to," Malfoy sneered, his eyes falling on the book in Harry's hands. "This book looks interesting."

Harry immediately sensed a hint of danger. He quickly closed the book and stood up. "This is some important information I'm researching. It has nothing to do with you."

"Oh, really?" Malfoy raised an eyebrow. "Then let me see this mysterious book."

"No way," Harry said firmly, trying to put the book away in the drawer.

However, Malfoy was quicker, and he lunged at Harry, trying to snatch the book. Harry reacted quickly, but Crabbe and Goyle immediately surrounded him, their strong bodies pinning Harry down. Malfoy quickly snatched the book from Harry, a smug smile on his face.

"Thank you, Potter, I will study the book carefully." Malfoy said sarcastically, and then quickly left the office with Crabbe and Goyle.

Harry broke free, furious. He knew the importance of the book, and knew that Malfoy would never understand its true value. But he was more worried that Malfoy would give the book to someone else, even a minions of the dark forces.

"Damn you Malfoy!" Harry cursed angrily, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white.

He immediately rushed out of the office and tried to catch up with Malfoy, but the corridor was empty. Harry's mood became heavier and heavier, and he knew that he had to get the book back as soon as possible, otherwise the consequences would be disastrous.

Harry ran quickly to where Hermione and Ron were, his anxiety growing stronger. When he arrived at the library, Hermione was studying an ancient parchment, while Ron was dozing off.

"Hermione, Ron, something's wrong!" panted Harry.

Hermione looked up and saw that Harry looked unhappy. She stood up immediately. "What happened, Harry?"

"Malfoy took The Secret of Time," Harry explained briefly, a mixture of anger and anxiety in his heart.

"What!" Hermione exclaimed, her face suddenly changed, "That book is too important, we must get it back immediately."

Ron also woke up from his nap, and immediately became nervous after hearing the news, "What should we do, Harry?"

Harry took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, "We need to come up with a plan. First, we have to figure out where Malfoy might have hidden the book, or who he might have given it to."

"I think we can start from the Slytherin common room," Hermione made a quick decision, "Malfoy often hangs out there."

"Okay, let's act immediately," Harry nodded, with a determined light in his eyes, "We can't let Malfoy give the book to anyone."

The three of them set off immediately, heading towards the Slytherin common room. Along the way, Harry's mood became more and more nervous, he knew that this operation was crucial. Every step might determine whether they could successfully prevent the resurgence of the dark forces.

When they reached the vicinity of the Slytherin common room, Hermione whispered, "We need a way to be invisible without anyone being able to spot us."

Harry nodded and pulled out the invisibility cloak from his arms, "Use this, we can stay undetected."

They put on the invisibility cloak and approached the Slytherin common room carefully. The magic of the invisibility cloak completely hid them in the darkness, and they could clearly see the situation in the common room. Malfoy was sitting on a sofa, flipping through the book he had stolen, with a look of great interest on his face.

"We need a chance to get the book back when he's not paying attention." Harry whispered, his eyes flashing with tension and determination.

"I have an idea," Hermione whispered. "We can make some noise to attract their attention and then take the book back."

Harry nodded, and they began to gently prepare some pebbles under the Invisibility Cloak to throw at the far wall. Just then, Malfoy seemed to sense something, and he raised his head and looked around alertly.

"Do you feel it?" Malfoy said to Crabbe and Goyle, "It seems like there is something here."

"Maybe it's the wind," Crabbe replied disapprovingly.

"Be more careful. I have a bad feeling about this." Malfoy frowned and held the book tightly.

Harry's heartbeat quickened, and he knew this was a crucial moment. They needed to act quickly and precisely, or they would lose this opportunity.

"Now!" Harry whispered, and they simultaneously threw pebbles at the far wall, making a crisp sound. Malfoy and his followers were immediately attracted and turned to check the source of the sound.

In this brief moment, Harry acted quickly, taking advantage of the cover of the Invisibility Cloak to take the book back from Malfoy. When Malfoy looked back, he found that the book was gone, and his face showed a look of astonishment and anger.

"What's going on? Where's the book!" Malfoy shouted, with a hint of fear in his eyes.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron quickly retreated from the Slytherin common room to safety. Harry clenched the book tightly, and the tension in his heart gradually eased. He knew that they had succeeded.

"That's great, Harry!" Hermione cheered, a happy smile on her face.

"We did it." Ron also breathed a sigh of relief, his eyes full of relief.
