Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 7: The Sorting Hat: Sometimes I am really scared. If I tell the truth, I will be beaten.

"First-year students, please note that no student is allowed to enter the Dark Forest. It is a forbidden forest."

Dudley secretly complained in his heart, although the name is Forbidden Forest, but for the "iron triangle" in front of him, Forbidden Forest? It's just a copy that freshmen must play.

However, there are indeed many "interesting" things in the Forbidden Forest, such as centaurs, giant spiders, etc. Dudley couldn't help licking his dry lips.

"Also, our caretaker, Mr. Filch, asked me to remind you that the corridor on the right side of the third floor is also a restricted area."

Argus Filch, who was leaning against the door with a grim look on his face, narrowed his eyes and quickly locked onto a few freshmen who seemed particularly fond of mischievous behavior.

"If you don't want to die miserably, don't go."

"Thank you."

Unlike Dudley's understanding of the "briefness" of leaders in his previous life, Dumbledore finished his words quickly and sat back in his chair. Professor McGonagall cleared her throat.

"Students whose names are called, please come to the front. I will put the Sorting Hat on your head and determine the house you will go to."

Harry and Ron's hearts tightened. This was the moment.

Hermione subconsciously glanced beside her, and saw Dudley looking confident.

"Hey, which college do you want to go to?"

She lowered her voice, her curiosity temporarily overriding her observance of the rules.

"Who knows, Gryffindor? Maybe."

Dudley smiled. On the other side, Professor McGonagall had already called the first name.

"Hannah Abbott!"

After getting over the surprise of the "talking hat", Harry and Ron no longer found it strange.

Dudley looked at the freshmen who were full of expectation and felt secretly amused. After all, many people's personalities could not determine whether they were born to be perfectly suited to a certain college, just like Hermione, whose name was about to be called. Miss Granger was naturally extremely intelligent, which matched the motto of Ravenclaw College; but what was more outstanding than her intelligence was her courage, so there was no doubt about which college Hermione would be sorted into.

"Hermione Granger!"

Professor McGonagall's voice rang out, Hermione took a deep breath, and quickly sat down on the chair. The Sorting Hat lay on her brown hair, and the wrinkles like a human face were squirming.

"Very good... That's right..."

After hesitating for a while, the Sorting Hat seemed to have made up its mind.

"Okay, Gryffindor!"

The students of Lion College cheered loudly. This seemed to be some kind of tradition. Before this, Harry and others had witnessed continuous cheers. No matter whether the freshmen were famous or not, the senior students would always warmly welcome the younger students. Miss Granger's appearance was not as mediocre as the original novel that Dudley had read. Naturally, this attracted more enthusiastic cheers than ordinary people.

Ron grunted, his cheeks puffed out like the toad Neville had found.

He was not very happy. After all, this competitive little girl had taught him a lesson on the train, and the boy's heart was always filled with resentment.

"Okay, relax a little, she's really smart after all, isn't she?"

Harry whispered something to comfort Ron, and then Draco Malfoy, who was still a little groggy, sat down on the chair.

"Slytherin!"

Without even a hint of hesitation, as soon as it touched Malfoy's head, the Sorting Hat started shouting as if it had been prepared. Cheers also came from the Slytherin table. Malfoy walked off the stage triumphantly, showing an extremely proud expression towards the freshmen from other colleges.

Harry frowned. Because of Malfoy, he now felt disgusted with Slytherin House.

Especially the guy with greasy hair, hooked nose and sallow skin sitting in the teacher's seat seemed to care a lot about his eyes.

"You can tell they're Slytherins at first glance. All those dark wizards who turned bad were Slytherins."

Ron said with a pursed mouth, and Dudley behind him couldn't help but shrugged.

It seems that even if I hadn't spoiled it, Harry would never have joined the Serpentine Court. If Malfoy had been more restrained and humble, perhaps he would have gained friendship with Harry earlier? However, it is difficult to change one's nature. The Malfoy family's bloodline theory and arrogant style will not make the two of them become good friends who love each other.

"Harry Potter!"

Finally, the pressure fell on the young savior. As Dudley knew, after a rare "negotiation" with the Sorting Hat, Gryffindor got their Harry.

"We've got Potter! We've got Potter!"

The Weasley twins cheered enthusiastically. Dudley subconsciously glanced at Severus Snape, who was wrapped in a black robe in the teacher's seat. The corners of his mouth were curled and an expression of disgust appeared on his face.

"It would be meaningless if we reveal too many spoilers, so let them figure it out slowly on their own."

"But for those who shouldn't have died... I will change their trajectory."

Dudley muttered to himself. While he was thinking carefully, all the freshmen had been assigned to colleges in order, and he was the only one left.

"Dudley Dursley?"

Professor McGonagall frowned and raised her voice a little. Dudley finally came to his senses, looked around slowly, and then sat down on the chair.

"Oh, Muggle boy!"

Hagrid laughed.

"He has a pretty solid build, and is a good material for an Auror."

Madam Hooch, the flying teacher at Hogwarts, couldn't help but sigh.

"Yes... yes... yes, haha..."

Quirinus Quirrell stammered, echoing with a strange, awkward smile.

Dumbledore didn't say anything. He just stared at Dudley, who was about to be assigned to a college, with a more expectant look than when he looked at Harry Potter.

"Where will Dudley be sorted into? Hufflepuff? Or us, Gryffindor?"

"It can't be Ravenclaw, can it?"

"Hiss... Don't get sorted into Slytherin, Harry, what do you think?"

Ron talked a lot, and it was no wonder. The excitement of being assigned to Gryffindor just now made his legs tremble slightly.

"do not know."

Harry was also looking forward to it. He hoped that Dudley would be assigned to the same college as him, so that they could play tricks on the Slytherin guys together.

However, Hufflepuff was also a good choice. After all, Harry had met Cedric in Diagon Alley and had a great impression of him. As for Ravenclaw, Harry was not familiar with it, so he had no objection.

"Not everyone can be like Harry."

Hermione whispered, she had yet to thank Dudley for his help.

"Oh, look, it looks like the Sorting Hat is going to talk."

Harry quickly said "hush", and the audio triangle quickly stopped talking and looked towards the stage expectantly.

Then they saw a rare scene in their lives.

The wrinkles on the Sorting Hat's face formed a fearful expression. Its "mouth" trembled and uttered a few trembling words:

"Ah..."

"If you dare to say this word, I will tear you apart."

The noisy freshmen suddenly became quiet.

Threatening the Sorting Hat at the Hogwarts matriculation ceremony?

He is indeed a ruthless person who can use street lights as magic wands!
