Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 78: Enough with the literature. Is this popular in Hogwarts?
After all, what Snape hated was "Potter" rather than Harry as a person, so he was much friendlier towards Dudley Dursley, who had no blood relationship with James Potter.
Of course, his "friendliness" cannot be compared with the intimacy he had with Lily.
At most, it was reflected in Potions class, where he turned a blind eye to the strange potions concocted by Dudley.
And no longer be so critical of Neville Longbottom's actions.
However, he still insisted on striking hard at Harry Potter, and in this Potions class, he once again successfully won five points from Gryffindor - if Dudley hadn't thrown a color and nodded at him, it might have been fifteen points.
"Merlin changed his profession to become a knight? Snape has been really weird these past two days."
Ron was picking at the egg fried rice on the plate. He felt that this was a bit perfunctory as a lunch compared to the big fish and meat he had had some time ago.
"Who knows? Fortunately, he doesn't know yet that I stole his collection."
Hermione glanced at Dudley inconspicuously before scooping a spoonful of custard.
Harry was still lost in thought, wondering why he could talk to a snake. The night the Duelling Club ended, he told Ron and Hermione that he had used Parseltongue and had let the Burmese python go. Of course, Dudley had reconciled with him by then, so he was not in danger.
"Okay, I'm going to do some boxing this afternoon, who wants to come?"
Dudley wiped his mouth. It was already winter, and he needed to take some high-calorie foods to prepare for the muscle-building period in the spring. His body had become rounder recently.
The three of them waved their hands in unison.
They are not fighting enthusiasts. Do you think it's interesting to watch two people fighting with each other until their teeth are flying and their foreheads are bruised?
Shrugging, Dudley stood up and walked towards the dormitory.
However, in the hallway of the corridor, he saw the platinum-haired figure again. Luna raised her head in a daze and looked at the beam in front of her. A pair of shoes could be vaguely seen on it, with the shoelaces entangled and tied to the stone beam.
"Are you going back to the dorms, Dudley?"
Without even turning her head, Luna immediately revealed Dudley's identity. Dudley, who was walking more cautiously, smiled awkwardly and walked quickly forward.
"It was stolen again?"
"Perhaps not stolen, but suddenly disappeared - nuisance flies really make one's head spin, don't they?"
Turning around and showing Dudley a helpless expression, Luna smiled faintly.
"What about the Flying Spell? I've learned it quite well recently, I can show you..."
Dudley clapped his hands and was about to raise his hand to cast a spell.
"The laces will break."
Dudley dropped his hand immediately.
"It's not really necessary. Maybe they will come back on their own."
"It's like they just magically disappear."
Blinking, Luna turned around and was about to leave.
There was a rustling sound behind her, and a moment later, Dudley stood in front of her with a smile on his face.
"For some things, you still have to take the initiative to fight for them."
"Like some fool's respect?"
Luna lowered her head and saw the pair of canvas shoes, placed perfectly next to her feet, as if they had always been there.
When she turned around, Dudley had disappeared. Miss Lovegood's eyebrows suddenly raised, and her eyes sparkled brightly.
The episode was destined to be just an episode, and in the following days, Harry was still troubled by rumors.
A certain Gryffindor student, a famous figure who had defeated Voldemort last semester, could actually "hiss" like a snake in his sleep. He soon replaced poor Colin Creevey and once again became the topic of much attention after the Duelling Club.
The news quickly spread with details, and by the time it reached Harry and Dudley's ears, it had become "Harry Potter is a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, and he wants to unite all pure-blood wizards and kill all the Squibs and wizards from Muggle families who hinder him from ruling the wizarding world."
Of course, good brother Ron didn't believe this. He loudly argued about the loopholes in it with almost every weird-looking person he met.
Salazar's offspring, in Gryffindor? How ridiculous!
But no one wants to listen to him. As for rumors, people only listen to the eye-catching parts and choose to laugh off the subsequent debunking. Then they repeat and spread the wrong statements over and over again until a simple complaint becomes a terrible statement that makes everyone feel insecure.
At the back of the library, some Hufflepuff students sat together.
"So, anyway, I told Justin to hide out in his dorm."
"I mean, if Potter is determined to kill him, he'd better stay in hiding for a while - of course, it was all Justin's fault for accidentally telling Potter that he was a born Muggle and that he had been to Eton College."
"You can't just say things like that to a descendant of Slytherin, right?"
The speaker was a large boy, Ernie MacMillan, whom Harry recognized.
"Are you sure? After all... Potter always looks so friendly. Besides, wasn't he the one who made You-Know-Who disappear last year? He can't be a bad guy."
Hannah Abbott, who wore her hair in a blond ponytail, responded hesitantly.
After the two of them said this, the Hufflepuff students quickly started discussing with each other.
Harry was behind the bookshelf, listening with anger.
Oh, so after a quarrel with Filch, Filch's cat turned into a stone statue?
Colin Creevey was turned to stone when he took a picture of himself while he was weak during a Quidditch match?
Now it’s his turn in the Duel Club again. After failing to murder Justin with a black mamba snake, he is now trying to petrify him to silence him?
You know what, this analysis... seems to make some sense.
If the Harry Potter here was not himself, even he would have almost believed it.
Meanwhile, Ernie lowered his voice and continued to utter a shocking conspiracy theory.
"Why do you think Potter was able to escape the pursuit of the mysterious man when he was still a baby?"
"He's just a baby, not a grown wizard!"
"And he deliberately preserved this history, the lightning scar on his forehead!"
The more Harry listened, the more he felt something was wrong. The conversation was beginning to go off track. Could it be that he had escaped death because he had sold out to Voldemort?
Fortunately, Ernie did not learn some weird words. He just thought that the mysterious man did not want another Dark Lord to be born and compete with him for the throne of the Dark Lord, so he wanted to hunt down Harry.
Relieved, but Harry's rage only grew.
No one can joke about his parents' sacrifice!
He suddenly walked out from behind the bookshelf. The Hufflepuffs were so scared that their faces turned pale, especially Ernie who had just "risked his life to reveal the truth", and he collapsed in his chair.
"Hello, I'm looking for Justin Finch-Fletchley."
