Chapter 130 Farewell
Once back at the shop, Glenn took Cliff up to the second floor room where the furniture was stored.
When he saw the furniture that Cliff had been dreaming about, he was particularly excited.
Like an excited child, he touched left and right and looked around.
"That's it! That's it! Oh my God! How on earth did you do that?!"
Listening to the big man's excited words, Glenn just smiled and watched quietly without answering.
Judging from the other party's performance, the carpentry skills in this world are not very advanced, otherwise they would not be able to imitate even some of the simple structure furniture he made.
"Can we finish moving all this today?" Glenn asked.
Cliff roughly estimated that the furniture in the whole room might not seem like much, but it was not something that could be moved away all at once.
He answered truthfully, "I think it will take at least two round trips. My place is quite far from here, so I can't transport all the goods today."
"Okay, then go hire a caravan." Glenn turned and went downstairs.
As soon as they got down to the first floor, Ricky ran over, hugged Glenn's legs and said, "Uncle, play with me."
"Okay, I'll come play with you in a bit." Glenn said as he gently rubbed the other's head.
The latter happily ran back into his mother's arms.
Dany scolded, "Stop interrupting your uncle's work."
Glenn simply nodded to Dani and headed out the door with Cliff.
"Your nephew is so cute." Cliff praised sincerely.
"Thank you. Children are cute as long as they are obedient." Glenn said with a smile.
Just as the two were about to say goodbye, two middle-aged men suddenly approached from the distance.
Cliff turned around and said as if he knew them, "Chelse, Hobert, why are you two here too?"
The two ignored him and said directly to Glenn, "Is that Mr. Glenn?"
Glenn nodded oddly.
The two of them then introduced themselves very seriously. It turned out that they were also carpenters. Finally, they asked:
"I heard that you have unique craftsmanship, sir. We have come thousands of miles just to learn from you. Is this possible?"
Before Glenn could say anything, Cliff shouted, "Forget it. Mr. Glenn's skills are not to be passed on to outsiders!"
The two still ignored him.
"As Cliff said, my skills are not passed on to outsiders," said Glenn.
"Sir, if you pass on your skills to us, it will also promote your skills and let more people know about it. Isn't this a good thing?"
The man named Chelsea said while gesticulating.
"Yes! We came here sincerely, please don't let us make a wasted trip!"
Another man named Hobart echoed the shout.
The two men spoke as if it was very necessary for Glenn to teach them the skills, but they never mentioned any benefits for Glenn.
"Okay, I won't teach you. No room for negotiation." Glenn still refused in a firm tone.
It doesn't matter to him whether he can carry forward the cause or not.
The two looked at each other, as if they understood each other's meaning.
Hobert stepped forward and said, "Mr. Glenn, we can pay the tuition, but we don't have much to give..."
"What?!" Glenn looked at the other party in shock. "So you guys don't plan to pay the tuition at the beginning?"
After being yelled at by such a loud voice, Hubbard suddenly felt guilty and his momentum weakened a little.
He quickly said: "No, no, no! That's not what I meant..."
Perhaps because he saw that his companion was not doing well, Chelsea pulled Hobert away and said to Glenn with a smile:
"Hobert can't speak, so of course we'll pay the tuition, but we're willing to pay more if you're willing to teach us."
Glenn looked back and forth at the two of them a few times, and seemed to have some understanding of their personalities.
They want to achieve their goal without paying too much price. It's really a miracle... Glenn sneered twice, "Don't say anything more. I won't teach you."
"We all begged you so much, how could you be so heartless?!"
"That's right, isn't it just a little skill? Why are you so selfish?"
The two men seemed very angry, but no matter what they said, Glenn had already pushed them away.
"Go away! With your character, no one will teach you."
Glenn was very strong, and two men who seemed stronger than him were almost pushed down several times.
Cliff on the side was already laughing uncontrollably, gloating over the two people's misfortune.
Perhaps because he was pushed out of his temper, Hobert pushed back hard, cursing, "Damn bastard!"
However, his strength was not enough to shake Glenn, and he was bounced back and fell.
Some passing knights made mocking noises, but they were too lazy to care about such minor matters unless the conflict escalated further.
Chelsea hurried to support his companion.
Hobert stood up with a red face, pointed at Glenn's nose, and said coldly: "I have several brothers and sisters at home, you are finished! If you dare to leave here, I will let them deal with you!"
After saying that, the two of them left angrily.
Of course, Glenn didn't take the two people's words seriously. This kind of threat was not a threat to him.
Cliff stepped forward and said worriedly, "Hobert is a well-known bully in our area. He has more than a dozen strong brothers at home. You'd better not go out easily."
"Thank you for your concern, I know." Glenn nodded.
He was too lazy to explain too much to the other party.
Cliff said, and went to look for a team of cars to hire.
Danny pushed open the door and stood at the door looking at Glenn with concern in her eyes.
The quarrel just now naturally attracted the attention of several people in the room.
Glenn stepped forward and said, "Don't worry about me. I'm a magician, remember? Those mercenaries are no match for me, let alone someone like this?"
Dani felt relieved after hearing this. She straightened Glenn's clothes and said:
"Becoming a magician does give us peace of mind, because we don't have to worry about your safety."
"Yeah," Glenn agreed.
But Dani put her hand down and asked again: "Actually, I've always wanted to ask, why do they all call you Glenn? This is not your name."
Finally asked... Glenn sighed inwardly.
In fact, when they came to pick up Luther and the others, Luther and the Carter brothers called Glenn's name more than once, but Dany just showed a puzzled expression at the time and didn't ask.
It’s not surprising that the other party asked now.
"When I first came here, maybe someone didn't hear my name clearly, so they called me by the wrong name, and I didn't correct them, and then they kept calling me that."
Glenn said in a tone that didn't sound fake.
Dany didn't doubt it. She just said in a blaming tone: "You don't even care about your own name. This is a bad habit!"
Glenn just smiled innocently and didn't answer.
"Well, we'll be leaving tomorrow and going to Burt's place. We won't bother you here anymore."
Dany said suddenly.
Burt is their eldest brother.
