Chapter 65 Black Sword
Just as the scarred man stopped to take a sip of water and was about to continue cursing, the door was blown open by a strong wind.
Everyone was attracted and turned to look.
An old gentleman with a cane, wearing a neat tuxedo and a black top hat appeared at the door.
On his shoulder stood a pitch-black bird of prey, its eyes glowing red as it glanced eerily over the people in the room.
When the scarred man saw this man, his brows furrowed deeply.
"Snook, why are you still here? Where are the young master's goods?!"
The old gentleman squinted his eyes and spoke in a particularly low voice, which sounded like muffled thunder in other people's ears.
The scarred man was not afraid of the questioning, but his voice was somewhat hoarse from the long-term shouting:
"Black Sword? Why did you come here if you didn't stay in the dark to protect your young master?"
The person who came was one of the magicians that Master Punk had arranged to protect the safety of his offspring.
They are all dark magicians who do not want to live a life of escape and seek refuge with powerful nobles.
"The master couldn't wait any longer, so he asked me to come and take it, but now it seems that you messed up, Snooker."
The old gentleman flashed with his cane, bringing up a strong wind, and brought the black bird of prey to the front of the scarred man Snooker.
Face to face, the pair of slightly cloudy eyes looked at the injured Snooker calmly.
A drop of sweat slid down his forehead, and Snooker cursed this monstrous old man in his heart.
"As you can see, I lost the goods." Snooker admitted generously. After all, it was obvious.
"You are just as inferior as the scars on your body. You can't even do this."
The old gentleman smiled a mocking and disdainful smile.
"Humph, I don't think even you can find the guy who stole the goods."
Snooker used a very low-level method of provoking the opponent.
"Don't compare me to you. In the face of great magic, all truths are exposed."
Surprisingly, the old gentleman known as Black Sword was actually fooled.
This made the other mercenaries unable to help but whisper, but a fierce glare from Snoke made them all quiet down.
Snoke saw that Black Sword was not affected, so he continued, "Anyone can do it just by saying it, but why don't you show it to us! Great! Mage!"
This tone obviously touched the old gentleman's sore spot. He swung his cane, and a black gale suddenly blew up in the house.
The black bird of prey on my shoulder let out a sharp, piercing cry and flapped its wings.
A group of mercenaries were blown to the ground, and only a few individuals with considerable strength were able to maintain balance.
In the strong wind, Black Sword's body flew into the air, his lips opening and closing rapidly, chanting some kind of spell.
After a while, he began to move and slowly came to the yard where the empty cages were placed.
Snook also led his men to follow.
The black wind became more and more fierce, with biting wind blades spreading out from the black sword, forcing the mercenaries to block them with their hands.
I should have known better than to say that. Does this old guy think that making such a big scene is impressive? ... Snooker was filled with resentment.
Just when he was about to call for a stop, a vague shadow appeared in front of him, almost imperceptible to the naked eye.
But as a physically strong warrior, Snooker was naturally able to capture it.
The scene didn't last long and disappeared, and the old gentleman Black Sword stopped casting magic at this moment.
He landed smoothly, gently stroking the black raptor's feathers on his shoulder, with a smug smile on his face.
"Did you find it?" Although he was sure in his heart, Snooker still asked.
Black Sword gave him a cold look of dissatisfaction, "How dare you doubt me? Do you want to test the power of my wind blade magic?"
Snooker said nothing, waiting for the other party to explain.
"He's a guy who knows nothing about magic. He didn't do anything to keep it clean on the surface, but he didn't do anything to hide it at the magical level. I barely had to use any tricks."
After listening to this, Snooker finally had an idea.
Thinking about the frustration of the day, he burst into an uncontrollable murderous intent and said, "What are you waiting for? Go meet that bastard now! I've already thought of how to torture him!"
……
Bayek, Glenn's.
When Ravel came back from work, Glenn cooked a sumptuous meal himself.
Considering that forest elves only eat vegetarian food, several vegetarian dishes were specially added.
It is served with dipping sauce, which gives it a special flavor when eaten with vegetarian dishes.
At first, the elf lady looked quite disgusted and claimed that the food in her own tribe was very amazing.
Ravel and Tia drooled as they heard this.
However, after reluctantly dipping his tongue in the soup and tasting a little, Gotaya reluctantly commented: "It's not as bad as I thought."
"Wow! The food of you elves must be so delicious! I really want to try it!" Tia said with anticipation.
"How can we let you humans taste our food as we elves do? Forget it." Gotaya replied with a guilty conscience.
Tia fell down like a deflated ball.
Ravel stared at Tia for a while, and couldn't help but say, "Tia, why do you seem to have lost your sense of etiquette? Your words and actions are like those of a commoner."
"Ah?" Tia was startled and was about to admit her mistake.
Glenn then said coldly: "How dare you put on airs in front of me? Is your job too easy, or do you want to get beaten again?"
Ravel immediately lowered his head and trembled.
Glenn looked at the stiff Tia again and said, "So-called etiquette is used in necessary situations. It is not necessary here at all, so your words and actions are correct."
Perhaps it was Glenn's affirmative tone that made Tia relax a little.
Gotaya on the side looked at Glenn quietly, then at Tia, and no one knew what he was thinking.
After dinner, Glenn learned from Gotaya that the black crow seemed to have come to see him.
Keeping this in mind, Glenn decided to take the initiative to visit tomorrow.
After all, we have known each other for a while, but have never visited each other's homes.
Afterwards, he cleared out a room on the second floor and tidied it up, and it became Gotaya's room.
There are three people living in an ordinary two-story house, and Glenn has made the most of the value of his house.
Of course, Ravel, who lives in a warehouse, doesn't count.
"By the way, I have a basement. If you're still short of people, two more people can live there..."
He thought this before falling asleep.
Just as he closed his eyes and was about to fall asleep, the howling of Night Howler rang in his head.
Glenn suddenly opened his eyes, sat up, and recalled the feeling just now. It didn't seem like an illusion.
"Could it be... Night Howl is warning me?!"
Glenn didn't intend to ignore it, just in case.
He opened the window and jumped out.
The monsters wandering the streets fled in all directions.
As soon as Glenn landed, he rushed out of the town without stopping.
As he got closer, he gradually heard the rumbling sound of fighting and the occasional howls of pain from Night Howl.
