Chapter 26: Heading to Nashrameh

The next day, without waiting for Li En to say anything, Samira took the initiative to find him.

"What? You're leaving?"

"Yes, I'm a mercenary. Now that this order is over, I will naturally take on new missions, otherwise my brothers will go hungry."

Samira stood in front of Li En, leaned forward slightly and said: "Thank you for your generosity, otherwise our mercenary group would probably be disbanded this time!"

Li En motioned for Samira to sit down and poured her a cup of tea.

Once he leaves, it will probably be hard to find him. The next time we see him, he may have been recruited into the Noxian army.

On the other hand, it won't be long before Cassiopeia and Soleanna head to the Immortal Bastion.

Li En thought for a while and slowly said, "In that case, are you interested in taking my mission again?"

"Huh? Why?" Samira was stunned and asked subconsciously, "I'm sorry, sir, I mean, you obviously have such powerful and loyal subordinates, why do you still hire us?"

"They may be stronger than you in terms of combat power, but you are undoubtedly more familiar with this land!"

Samira puffed out her chest and said, "Of course, mercenaries are the ones who are most familiar with this land! So, what exactly does the mission involve?"

...

"What? Brother Li En is going to Nashram?"

"Yes, Peya, I heard that the Ramos sect is going to hold a ceremony there, I want to go and see it!"

"What's so interesting about thousands of people rolling around in the desert? Besides, there's still more than half a month before the ceremony begins!"

"Haha, I plan to take a look at the famous Shurima ruins on the way!" Li En said with a dry laugh.

Cassiopeia narrowed her eyes and looked at the boy in front of her suspiciously.

There are ruins and ancient tombs scattered throughout Shurima, and countless explorers have discovered huge wealth or powerful weapons from them, and from then on reached the peak of their lives, leaving behind various legends.

Even in places that were thought to have been explored, new discoveries are reported from time to time.

Cassiopeia knew that these things were very attractive to people of Li En's age.

Including herself, she had also fantasized about finding a powerful artifact that would make the Du Kecao family proud of her.

However, her intuition told her that something was wrong, so she asked, "So how is Brother Li En going to get there? I'll arrange a guide for you?"

"That's not necessary, I've found a good person!"

"Oh? I didn't expect that Brother Li En would have local people joining him so soon. I wonder why?"

"It was those mercenaries from before. They just happened to be taking on missions, so I chose them!"

As soon as Li En finished speaking, Cassiopeia thought of the desert beauty she saw that day, and an inexplicable emotion immediately arose in her heart, but the expression on her face did not change at all.

"So it's them. We are so lucky to be favored by Brother Li En!"

"It just happened to be a coincidence!"

Suddenly, Cassiopeia's eyes welled up with tears: "Nashramé has the largest port in Shurima. Brother Li En, do you hate Peya and want to board the ship there and leave?"

"Ah? How could that be! Hey, don't cry!"

"That's right. How can I let my fiancé face such vicious criminals? It's only natural that Brother Li En hates me!"

The girl's sudden move caught Li En off guard.

In the end, Li En promised Cassiopeia that he would come back immediately after watching the ceremony and would never leave secretly. The girl then reluctantly agreed.

After bidding farewell to Lady Soleanna, Li En and Cassiopeia came to the door and met the mercenaries who were already prepared.

"Are these the mercenaries chosen by Brother Li En? They look a bit..."

Cassiopeia glanced at the crowd, seeing that they were all injured, and seemed to be hesitant to speak.

"As I said before, they were the main force that attacked the Poison Scorpion that day. I was just a fisherman!"

"That's also because Brother Li En is so smart!"

Samira greeted the two and said calmly, "Good day, Master Lien, Master Cassiopeia!"

"You are Samira? Even though I heard Brother Li En tell me about it, it's still surprising! In Shurima, the leader of the mercenary group is a woman, and such a beautiful woman! It's amazing!"

Cassiopeia looked at Samira with great interest. Samira, who had just reached adulthood, had a mature figure yet still had the innocence of a young girl. With her exotic skin color, she exuded amazing beauty from head to toe.

But she was not jealous. The difference in their status prevented her from having such emotions. She was just sighing simply at this moment.

She was able to break out of the harsh lower class society of Shurima despite her beauty and become the leader of a mercenary group instead of becoming a plaything of certain people.

"Your Excellency is too kind. Everyone knows the reputation of your Uzeris gemstone!"

"Haha, I believe you are a capable person. Brother Li En is in your hands!"

"Don't worry, sir. Before the last of our members falls, we will never let Master Li En get hurt!"

Seeing the atmosphere between the two gradually become harmonious, the inexplicable feeling of guilt in Li En's heart slowly disappeared, so he said: "Then let's get ready to go, Pei Ya, see you next month!"

"Okay, Brother Li En!"

Cassiopeia nodded obediently and raised her hand to straighten Li En's collar. He was about to say thank you.

The girl stood on tiptoes, and the cool and soft touch flashed across Li En's face.

Cassiopeia let go of Li En, turned around and ran into the mansion, leaving only a faint fragrance.

Looking at the girl's fleeing back, Li En smiled slightly.

-----------------

Under the leadership of the Samira Mercenary Group, Li En, along with Safet and ten elite soldiers, advanced towards Nashramé.

There was endless yellow sand all along the way, and there was no other scenery except desolation.

The scorching sun and dry hot wind made everyone lose the desire to talk. They just kept on walking, hoping to reach the next rest point as soon as possible.

After several days of traveling, Li En couldn't help but sigh in his heart. With such a harsh environment, it's no wonder that people say that in Shurima, you have to risk your life for a sip of water.

...

Soon it was night and everyone had simply set up a campsite.

The crackling sound of the burning fire helped to dispel the night chill for Li En.

The food stewing on the rack above gradually gave off an aroma. The fatigue from the day's journey faded away, and was replaced by a clear feeling of hunger.

"How is it? Lord Li En~, would you like some more barbecue?"

Samira sat down next to him and looked at Li En with a smile.

Li En rubbed his brows helplessly: "Okay, Samira, let's put this matter behind us. I know this, but you can't expect someone who has never lived in the desert to understand this!"

On the first night of rest on the road, Li En refused the mushy dried meat porridge, saying that he wanted to experience the characteristics of the desert.

He asked the mercenaries to catch a few rabbits, and then they started roasting the meat with great enthusiasm, but the result was that the meat was burnt.

After finally catching one, Li En, who had been evaporated by the scorching heat all day, found the meat in his mouth so hard to swallow. When he swallowed it with difficulty, he felt the rabbit meat cutting his throat.

After being hungry all night, Li En obediently had a traditional dinner the next night.
