Coming out of Jiefang Shopping Mall, He Yuzhu and his wife had already brought a lot of bags, including cloth, snacks and various small items, which were prepared for the two little ones in Yushui's family. Of course, gifts for the father-in-law and mother-in-law were also indispensable, such as shoes and socks. The old couple didn't like fancy things, so they could only pick some things they needed for life...

When they arrived at the Polytechnic University's staff quarters, Zhu's father and mother were not at home, probably because they had gone out to visit friends. The couple looked at the family and saw that they had enough food and drink, so they put the gift down, left a note, and left.

"Wife, it's still early, why don't we go to Lao Mo and have a seat?" There is no romantic way in this era. If there is, it can only be at Lao Mo, which is the Moscow Western Restaurant.

Zhu Lin's eyes lit up and she said, "Okay!"

Although the current Lao Mo is not as good as it used to be, the decoration style inside is still quite romantic.

"Then let's go~"

Lao Moer is the nickname of Moscow Restaurant by Kyoto people. It is located on Xizhimenwai Street, not far from the zoo and next to the exhibition hall. It is a Russian restaurant that opened in 1954 and has a history of more than years. It is one of the earliest Western restaurants in Kyoto.

In the past, you needed a ticket to enter to eat here, but after the Russian chef left in 71, the rule was changed and it became open to the public. However, even so, the people who come here to consume are not ordinary people, because the food is expensive!

There are many interesting stories about this restaurant, the funniest of which is that things are often stolen here. In the past, not only were the plates, bowls, and cups very exquisite, but the table knives and forks were also made of silver. It might sound a bit harsh to say that they were stolen here, but anyway, a few sets of things were "stolen" every now and then.

That’s not all. The most shocking thing is that even the animals from Jiebi often come to “patronize” Lao Mo’s kitchen. What’s going on?

This is because the monkey mountain in the zoo is not an enclosed one, it is just a lonely rockery. The monkeys are very naughty. Relying on their flexible bodies, they climb on the walls and tree trunks, and always run to Lao Mo's kitchen to steal things. People who often go to Lao Mo know that the kitchen is semi-underground and open. Who has the eyes and skills to stop the monkeys' magical powers, so they succeed repeatedly.

Another thing is that after the "reform", the Western chefs left, and the only ones left were all Chinese chefs. They didn't know how to cook Western food, so they put dishes like roasted eggplant, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, braised pork slices, and fried rice with egg on the table. Only pastries were retained for Western food. After all, these things are not complicated and you can learn them just by looking at them. So now there is a special way of "eating Chinese food in a Western way" that is neither fish nor fowl.

The gate is still the same, a high-end revolving door. Even though it is almost the 1980s, this thing is still very rare. The Roman columns around it all show the grandeur of this place.

After entering the gate, there are very high stairs. You have to climb up one step at a time to get to the dining hall. The high dome is seven or eight meters high, with a large gorgeous gilded chandelier. On the wall hangs a huge Kremlin oil painting, in front of which is a green fountain. The walls are clad in light green marble, and the bright large glass windows are hung with white georgette and silver-gray velvet curtains.

The ceiling of the restaurant is decorated with plaster florals made of pine branches, pine cones and snowflakes. The four large pillars in the middle are covered with lively birds and beasts made of copper sheets, which look very majestic.

“It’s like two different worlds!”

He Yuzhu sighed, he was a time traveler and had seen many places that were more luxurious than this, but don't forget, this is the 1970s, look at the way people are dressed on the streets, the contrast is so huge, it's like a dream, so unreal.

"it's beautiful!"

This was not the first time Zhu Lin came here, but she felt shocked every time she came. As mentioned before, the contrast in reality made people feel like a dream. Coupled with the familiar Russian music "Evenings on the outskirts of Moscow" playing in the restaurant, she felt elated for a while.

Now Lao Mo'er's business is very bad, so bad that there are few people in the whole hall, except for the waiters, of course. When they see customers coming, they immediately run over with menus.

"Please come this way!" The waiter led them to a small table by the window.

He Yuzhu and Zhu Lin sat down opposite each other and began to order: "Let me see the menu!"

The menu is now clear at a glance, because it is all in Chinese. Fortunately, Western pastries are retained. He Yuzhu ordered "cold beef", "cold ham", and "cold beef tongue". The dessert was a "chestnut cake", a Russian delicacy "chak chak" similar to shaqima, and finally a "Prague cake". Why are there only cold dishes and desserts? There is no way, the hot dishes here are all Chinese-style, and he feels uncomfortable eating Chinese food in a Western restaurant!

"That's all. Oh, and another bottle of wine!"

The waiter wrote it down carefully in the notebook, then said with a smile, "Please wait a moment, both of you!" and went to the kitchen to place the order.

"Yuzhui, isn't that a bit too much?" Zhu Lin was worried that he wouldn't be able to finish it.

"I'm afraid there won't be enough to eat!" He Yuzhu said with a smile.

The portions in western restaurants are not usually small. For example, the "cold cut beef tongue" probably doesn't have more than ten slices. Do you think this can fill you up?

"how much did you spend?"

"Five dollars, not much!"

Five dollars is not a lot, it's a week's food ration for an ordinary family.

Zhu Lin opened her mouth but didn't know what to say. Outside, she always listened to He Yuzhu's arrangements. This man spent money lavishly and didn't feel sorry at all.

After waiting for a while, the dishes were served. Seeing that the table was full of cold dishes, the waiter suggested: "Our 'braised prawns' are very good. Would you like to order one?"

Well, it’s really a hodgepodge, with all the Shandong cuisine included!

"Then give me one!" He Yuzhu said generously.

"Okay!" The waiter left happily.

"You still order!"

"What are you afraid of? If you can't finish it, just pack it up!"

"..."

Life should have a sense of ritual. He Yuzhu held the goblet in his hand and said to Zhu Lin affectionately: "Oh, my dear, thank you for marrying me. Trees entwine and entwine, we are forever tied together by the same roots, hug each other until old age, and love each other without fail. Linlin, I love you~"

Listening to He Yuzhu's affectionate confession, Zhu Lin's eyes suddenly became red. This was exactly what she had hoped for, a couple who would be together for life, forever and ever.

"Yuzhu, I love you too~"

"May we be happy forever!"

"Ok!"

The woman was moved to tears!

Romance may not be necessary, but you cannot deny that it can make life full of passion, because in the world of love, men and women are the same, they need an excuse for love, a condition for love, a formula for love, it can be a rose, a beautiful wedding dress, or of course a simple sentence, not much, just three words...
